Everyone’s been side-eyeing Trisha Paytas for naming her baby after DC’s Aquaman, but plot twist: director James Gunn seems to be riding the wave ... just with a splash of caution!

The DC Studios co-CEO was out at Comic-Con over the weekend when he was asked about the viral baby name -- and while he called it cool, he also made it clear he hopes the kid doesn't get washed out by bullies at school.

James explained he caught flak back when he was in school just for his last name alone -- yep, cue the endless gun puns -- so he’s hoping lil' Aquaman doesn’t get the same treatment … assuming playground roasts are still alive and well like they were back in his day.

Of course, Trisha’s no stranger to bold baby names -- she’s already got a Malibu Barbie and an Elvis at home, but Aquaman’s definitely made the biggest impact yet.

Jennifer Lopez might've been celebrating her birthday onstage ... but, it was fans who got the real present -- an eyeful of Lopez's backside when her skirt fell off!

The singer-songwriter took the stage in Poland Friday night ... and, while her fellow performers onstage sang a happy birthday song for her, Lopez's sparkling skirt slipped off her waist and ended up on the stage.

A Southwest Airlines flight to Las Vegas had to dive to avoid hitting another plane midair ... and now a couple flight attendants are nursing injuries.

Passengers on a Friday flight from Burbank to Las Vegas say their pilot had to dive aggressively to avoid a midair collision shortly after takeoff ... sending passengers flying out of their seats, with some bumping their heads on the cabin ceiling.

Comedian Jimmy Dore was on the flight and he says the pilot came on the PA system and told passengers his collision warning alert went off and he needed to avoid a plane coming at them.

1:22 PM PT  -- The Florida cops who arrested a Chuck E. Cheese mascot had a hilarious way of leading him out of the Charles Entertainment Cheese joint and over to their cop car ... telling him, "Chuck E, come with me Chuck E."

TMZ obtained the arrest report and the Tallahassee Police Department says the man in the Chuck E. Cheese costume also had a small amount of marijuana on him. Cops say they asked if he had a medical marijuana license and were told, "I was on the way to getting one."

Police also say he racked up $105.57 in fraudulent charges on a debit card a woman lost after attending her child's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.

A Chuck E. Cheese mascot had to cough up some serious dough to bail out of the pokey, after getting arrested at a Charles Entertainment Cheese joint in Florida.

When the costume head was removed by cops, the identity of the rodent was revealed ... Jermell J. Jones, who was arrested for theft of a credit card.

It's unclear ... but it appears Tallahassee cops knew the identity of the man inside the mouse and knew where he worked, because they promptly arrived on scene, and removed the faux mouse from the joint -- right in the middle of a children's birthday party in progress.
