Charlie Kirk's widow praised Spencer's run for office in a post to X Thursday ... writing it doesn't matter whether he wins or loses -- he's a true American for even throwing his hat in the ring and hoping to become part of a solution.

Yes, Spencer's running an unconventional campaign, Erika admits ... but she thinks people are gravitating to him because he's not speaking like a career politician -- he's speaking like a citizen who "sees and deeply understands how fragile the simple things in life are when leadership fails."

Trump was asked Thursday about going to Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson's destination wedding in the Bahamas, and he told reporters he might be too busy to attend.

POTUS made it clear Don Jr. wants him there ... problem is, Trump says a Memorial Day Weekend wedding is not good timing for him ... what with the Iran War and all.

Trump says he's dealing with "other things" too that might keep him away from the wedding, which he described as a small, little private affair.

Spencer Pratt says he became a Republican because he received a ton of death threats as a reality star -- so he decided to align himself with the party that supports gun ownership.

The former star of "The Hills"-turned-Los Angeles mayoral candidate sat down for an interview Thursday with CNN anchor Elex Michaelson, who asked Spencer on "The Story Is with Elex Michaelson" why he's a Republican.

Spencer started off by saying Elex was going to break some news before explaining that he was getting a slew of death threats because he was once a "hated reality star."

President Donald Trump says he'd like Spencer Pratt to succeed in his Los Angeles mayoral bid ... because he's heard the candidate is a Trump loyalist, through and through.

POTUS was asked about Pratt -- a fellow reality star running for office just like DJT himself back in 2015 -- at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Wednesday morning ... and he says he'd like to see SP do well, since he's heard Pratt's a MAGA supporter.

Trump notes he doesn't know the reality star personally ... but as long as Pratt's rocking with him, he's rocking with Pratt.

Spencer did not exactly embrace the support in a heavily Democratic city, telling TMZ, "Everybody wants me to succeed because L.A. is the most important city in the country," adding, "The only support I need is from moms that wanna feel safe in Los Angeles. I'm laser focused on that."

The 'Hills' alum says he’s now weighing a full exit from Los Angeles if he fails to advance past either the June 2 primary or the Nov. 3 election to become mayor for the city of stars.

Speaking with comedian Adam Carolla, Pratt says plainly ... "If Karen Bass gets reelected or Nithya gets elected, I will be done with trying to live in LA."
