Tom Holland's "Romeo & Juliet" show on the West End's off to a rocky start ... 'cause the first preview has been canceled due to technical issues.

The star-crossed lovers were supposed to take the stage for the first time in front of paying audiences Saturday night at London's Duke of York theater ... but, Deadline reports ticketholders received an email canceling the show Friday.

According to the outlet ... showrunners said technical aspects of the play needed further refinement before audiences could see it -- so, sounds like they couldn't quite iron everything out in rehearsals.

Long before the 4th of July, the skies over America are filling with beautiful colors, courtesy of a massive solar storm -- but before you get too awestruck by the beauty ... Bill Nye the Science Guy has a warning.

The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, are normally only seen over places like Alaska, Canada and Scandinavia -- extreme northern latitudes -- but on Friday night the dazzling colors were seen dancing in the sky as far south as Texas and Alabama.

The rare phenomenon really was a thing to see, and social media feeds were filled with the images everyone was capturing into the wee hours of Saturday morning.

A contestant on the popular European singing competition Eurovision has been banned from performing in the final ... and, organizers say it's because the police are investigating him.

Joost Klein -- who's representing the Netherlands in this year's edition of the contest -- will not compete in the final because Swedish police are looking into a claim made by a female member of the production crew, the Eurovision team announced in a statement Saturday.

While the European Broadcasting Union won't say exactly what the allegations entail... they do mention it occurred after the semi-final performance on Thursday night -- adding it wouldn't be appropriate for Klein to continue while the investigation proceeds.

Of course, everyone has heard Donald Trump speak a gazillion times over the decades, but the voice of his youngest son, Barron, has always been a mystery ... until now!

The 18-year-old was recently captured on video talking to a guest as they attended a formal event in a ballroom at his dad's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Check out the short clip ... Barron, looking dapper in a suit, is heard saying to the man, "Impressed with this," before shaking his hand. Barron then said something else, but his words were inaudible, although you can make out his deep voice.

The Simmons family mother-daughter standoff is getting more public ... as Aoki appears to be firing back at her mom Kimora Lee Simmons for commenting about Aoki's brief fling with much older restaurateur Vittorio Assaf.

Aoki posted a quote Friday from Dr. Nicole LePera that certainly reads like a response to Kimora telling TMZ she was "embarrassed" her 21-year-old daughter was photographed sucking face with 65-year-old Assaf.

The comment seems to have struck a chord with Aoki, who highlighted LePera's words ... "Good girl conditioning sends a clear message: don’t be too much or want too much."
