NY Islanders Hall of Famer Mike Bossy is eyeing a legendary NHL puck on eBay, but refuses to pay a dime -- 'cause in his mind he's the rightful owner, and he's pissed someone's trying to sell it off.
Here's the deal ... in 1981, Bossy scored 50 goals in 50 games -- a feat only accomplished by 4 other players -- but about 30 years ago the treasured 50th puck slipped out of his hands.
We spoke to the eBay seller, Jake Jacobson ... a HUGE Islanders fan and former swim coach, who claims he ended up with the prized puck when Bossy's young daughter gave it to him as a thank you for her swimming lessons.
A couple years ago he contacted Bossy and offered to return it, but claims Bossy "didn't really seem interested." He says Bossy offered him a signed stick and that's about it. "He couldn't even meet. It just wasn't a good offer."
So, now Jacobson's gone the eBay route, and Bossy's ready to drop the gloves. The Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum -- which also wants the puck -- tells us, "Mike's position is, if the puck was mistakenly given to the seller, it's his rightful property. He shouldn't have to buy it back."
Bossy hasn't lawyered up, and Jacobson's pressing forward with the auction ... which ends Tuesday. Here's the thing ... his opening bid is $850, and he has ZERO offers.
He says he's not worried ... "I've gotten a few offers this week outside of the auction. I want a true Islanders fan to have the puck. Bossy had his chance to get it back."
Freshly booted 'Bachelorette’ contestant Shawn Evans wants Ryan McDill to man up and apologize for his drunken banter -- including the "rape" comment -- or he’s taking matters into his own hands.
Evans – who pulled up to the bachelor mansion in a hot tub car -- says he’s “disgusted” with McDill’s unapologetic remarks and sexually aggressive behavior with "our Canuck Bachelorette.”
He has given McDill a deadline for a public apology – the end of Monday’s episode. If McDill does not comply, Evans says he will “MAKE him apologize for his actions.” Exactly how, we're not sure.
Evans says he feels a responsibility to stand up for bachelorette Kaitlyn and all his offended fellow Canadians … even though they didn’t spend a ton of time together because he was nixed on one of the first episodes.
Evans says McDill needs to man up and apologize or he will call him out.
Kim Richards is watching her daughter Brooke Brinson walk down the aisle in Cabo San Lucas -- putting her recent rehab stay and Bev Hills arrest behind her ... at least for a day.
Kim and her sister Kyle Richards were seen gathering around Brooke shortly before the ceremony when Paris Hilton posted a video of the whole fam getting ready.
Brooke's dream wedding in Cabo is purely ceremonial -- she and Thayer Wiederhorn tied the knot last August in Beverly Hills, so Brooke's ailing father could attend.
As if a wedding in Cabo isn't baller enough -- the groom is heir to the Fatburger chain ... so there should be some juicy post-dinner snacks.
"19 Kids and Counting" may survive the Josh Duggar molestation scandal, but Josh might not.
Connected industry sources tell TMZ, TLC is considering a number of options, weighing the pros and cons. One is to cancel the show outright, the other is to just go full steam ahead, but there is real talk about continuing without Josh.
Our sources say there's a strong sense axing Josh would not materially hurt the show. We're told TLC has done research and it shows the daughters have become the driving force. The weddings of Jill and Jessa were ratings successes, as was the birth of Jill's baby.
It wouldn't be hard to remove Josh. He's moved away from Arkansas to D.C. where he's focused on lobbying Congress. But that could change because he just resigned from the Family Research Council.
As for cancelling the show, our sources say there is significant concern that big advertisers will bail. TMZ broke the story, General Mills has already pulled the plug.
On the other hand, we're told TLC believes the show has a strong, loyal evangelical base and so far support has not wavered.
But removing Josh could be a good middle ground for TLC.
TLC execs must be dreading that "trouble comes in threes" saying -- a cast member from "Breaking Amish" got busted by cops ... the 2nd legal headache this week for the cable channel.
Cops in Pennsylvania tell TMZ ... Jeremiah Raber from "Breaking Amish" was a passenger during a routine traffic stop Saturday morning. Everything went smoothly until cops let the vehicle go and Raber, a passenger in the car, decided to hang out the window and yell profanities at the officers.
We're told PA State Troopers followed the vehicle and found it parked at a nearby home, and Jeremiah screaming at the driver who'd taken him home from a bar.
Cops booked Raber for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness ... he was later released.
Of course, TLC just pulled "19 Kids and Counting" in the wake of Josh Duggar's admission he sexually molested multiple underage girls when he was 14.
Kevin Durant moseyed out of a Hollywood club Friday night and a Rx of weed came tumbling out of his SUV.
The Oklahoma City Thunder star chilled at Hooray Henry's, then limped out of the club with a boot covering his gimpy foot. As the SUV door opened, what looks like a prescription bottle of weed careened out.
The real point here ... who cares if someone has weed? It looks like it's what the doctor ordered, which would make it legal, and even if it isn't, it's not nearly as bad as texting while driving.
Hope it cures what ails ya.
Bobby Flay has taken an incredibly cheap shot at his estranged wife, telling the judge in their divorce case that any medical problems she has are the result of vanity ... specifically a boob job.
We're told as part of her argument to invalidate their prenup, Stephanie March says she's been plagued by well-publicized medical problems, including a burst appendix and 3 deep infections. As a result, she says she's unable to work as an actress and the prenup would create an undo financial hardship.
Bobby has responded to Stephanie's argument, but he got surprisingly detailed, saying the infections were the result of breast enhancement surgery. It's pretty clear the point he's making is that Stephanie's problems are her own doing ... choosing to go under the knife for the sake of vanity.
Stephanie also took a shot at Bobby, saying revelations of his alleged infidelity have compromised her health and mental state.
Josh Duggar has pulled the plug on a conference he was scheduled to attend in the most ironic of places ... Sandusky, Ohio.
Josh was supposed to speak at a home schooling convention next week, but in the wake of his public sexual molestation admission, we've learned he's cancelled the appearance.
We're told Josh told the organizers he would be too much of a distraction and didn't want the focus of the conference blurred.
We're also told convention organizers are commending Josh and his parents, saying they've handled the matter well and it all reflects back on Christ.

Robert De Niro inspired some very talented art school graduates to dive into the world of anti-depressants, telling them they are "opening a door to a lifetime of rejection."
It's the greatest commencement speech of the season for sure ... De Niro gave Tisch School of the
Arts grads a glimpse into their future with some hilarious comparisons, telling them medical students will get jobs, lawyers will probably also get jobs and if they don't who cares ... they're lawyers!
But De Niro did offer sound advice, in the form of Valium and Vicodin.
TLC has a new crisis with the Josh Duggar revelations, and Bobby Flay's divorce has just gotten even nastier. So we gotta ask ...
Everyone we've spoken to says the same thing ... they are as solid as sold can be. It appears both of them are in Calabasas to celebrate, along with North West.
A far cry from Kim's 72-day marriage to what's his name.
TMZ broke the story, Kim and Kanye are ferociously trying to have a second kid.
Scott Stapp looks incredible after a stint in rehab following one of the most bizarre meltdowns in recent memory.
The Creed frontman and wife Jaclyn breezed into LAX Friday, and we're blown away by how good Scott looks and sounds.
You may recall his paranoid rants last November, where Scott put himself on video saying he was on the run because the CIA was trying to kill him. Jaclyn filed legal docs trying to get him committed.
Fast forward to Friday ... he's lucid and seemingly clean. Scott says he's looking forward to seeing their friend, Jennifer Gimenez, who appears on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." She's been a big part of Scott's recovery.
We're told they're in town to appear on "Couples Therapy."
