The insane incident, which occurred Wednesday night at Park 101 in Carlsbad, CA, was caught on video by a witness, who then posted the shocking clip to social media, and it instantly went viral.
Check it out ... the patron is talking with a couple of security guards at the bar when things suddenly take an ugly turn. One guard pulls out a taser and, at point-blank range, fires a dart into the young man's face. The victim falls to the ground in obvious pain as a good Samaritan comes over to assist him.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries Alaska, the whale was freshly dead and in good nutritional condition ... with an adequate amount of blubber and muscle.
Preliminary findings from the necropsy reportedly indicate the whale died after being struck by a vessel. The marine mammal had blunt force trauma to the jaw, spine, and ribs.

U.S. track star Alvin Harrison -- who won a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996 -- was arrested in Los Angeles Monday night for driving under the influence, TMZ Sports has learned.
We're told Burbank PD officers stopped Harrison, 52, shortly before 11 PM after observing him rolling through a Stop sign.
During the stop, officers believed the former sprinter was under the influence, so he was arrested for DUI.

Local newspaper Le Dauphine Libéré reported the fatal incident Friday ... saying a locomotive struck a man wandering too close to train tracks in Annecy, a city near the French-Swiss border.
Emergency services were called to the train station ... but they couldn't save the man's life.
The newspaper did not identify the man, but noted he wore credentials from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival ... and the festival has now confirmed to Deadline that de la Rosa was the person killed.
A Utah judge is apparently pissed that prosecutors in Tyler Robinson's murder trial blabbed to the press in violation of a gag order ... but the death penalty is still on the table.
Utah Judge Tony Graf found prosecutor Christopher Ballard in civil contempt for talking to the media about evidence in the case ... namely, conflicting information about whether the bullet matched the rifle Robinson allegedly used to shoot and kill Charlie Kirk.
