The Empire State Building climbers thought they were on top of the world ... until NYPD officers came climbing right behind them ... armed with body cameras and handcuffs.

Newly released body cam video shows the nerve-racking pursuit from the cops' point of view ... capturing officers scaling the iconic skyscraper's steel spire before finally cornering the daredevil duo -- famed "rooftoppers" Ivan Beerkus and Angela Nikolau -- hundreds of feet above Manhattan.

The footage -- released Wednesday by NYC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch -- shows officers carefully navigating the narrow metal framework until they reach the climbers. From there, the pair are calmly escorted back down through the maze of beams before they're ultimately slapped in handcuffs.

Donald Trump just cracked an incest joke about having a threesome with two of his sons -- Donald Jr. and Eric -- and yes, he actually used the word "threesome" ... and it's all on video.

POTUS was at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota on Wednesday when he started about giving out the Medal of Honor ... he spotted Don Jr. and Eric in the crowd and said ... Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding celebration will be something out of a movie ... because they've hired a renowned set-building company for the giant Madison Square Garden bash.

We obtained video from outside MSG Wednesday, showing boxes marked "Konduit NYC" being unloaded ... an interesting development because that company has been building sets for movie, TV, and commercial shoots for decades.

Mitch McConnell's medical scare last month was way more serious than first disclosed ... the senator was reportedly found unconscious before he was rushed to the hospital.

McConnell lost consciousness at his home in Washington, D.C., on the morning of June 14 after a 911 call was made ... TMZ can confirm.

Taylor Frankie Paul's ex-husband Tate Paul just got denied on his bid for an emergency restraining order ... a move her side believes was masterminded by her other ex, Dakota Mortensen.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, a judge found many of the allegations being used in Tate's temporary restraining order request listing concerns for their two children were based on hearsay and lacked corroborating evidence ... leading the court to rule there was no "immediate and irreparable harm" that would require an emergency change to the custody arrangement.

In denying the motion, the judge also noted Tate had left the children with Taylor for about a week in June while he traveled to Iceland.
