Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend Brian Hickerson is surfacing for the first time since her tragic death ... and it looks like he's still in shock.

A solemn Brian stepped outside Wednesday in South Carolina wearing a cap and shades ... just days after Hayden died in a nearby housing complex.

TMZ broke the story ... Brian was with Hayden when she died ... he was asleep in the other room when his brother, Zach, swung by their Airbnb and found her unresponsive.

Tyreek Hill's estranged wife, Keeta Hill, claims the NFL star is refusing to answer questions about him allegedly paying a woman who previously accused him of abuse ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Keeta claims Tyreek has failed to answer whether he offered, promised, or paid "any consideration" to Crystal Espinal, his ex and the mother of three of his children.

Keeta claims Tyreek had not spoken to Crystal in over five years before his attorney contacted her one week before her deposition in the divorce, allegedly telling her there "needs to be trust" and that they "needed to bridge the gap."

The docs say Tyreek then flew to Arkansas to see his ex and their three kids for the first time in two years.

Elon Musk is doubling down on his defense of Derek Chauvin ... insisting the former Minneapolis cop convicted of murdering George Floyd is innocent and should be freed.

Elon weighed in Wednesday on X ... saying Chauvin was "unjustly convicted of murder" and claiming the facts show Chauvin did not cause Floyd's death or intend for anyone to die.

The billionaire definitively declared Chauvin "is not a murderer."

Hayden Panettiere's mother says cops are taking a hard look at drug use in the police investigation into her death ... even bringing in a narcotics investigator to help.

Lesley Vogel told NBC News Wednesday that she's been informed cops are investigating the death ... adding she's even been told they brought in a narco detective.

She doesn't know where they're at in the investigation necessarily ... but Lesley adds the authorities seem to have quite a few questions regarding Hayden's death.

Oklahoma State Senate candidate Barry Christian was intoxicated when he died by suicide ... at least according to the medical examiner.

According to the autopsy report, obtained by TMZ, Christian had an approximately 0.14% BAC -- which is nearly double the legal blood alcohol concentration of limit .08%.

As we previously reported, Christian was found dead in April inside his 2024 Ram pickup truck at the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area in Beckham County, Oklahoma ... and the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide.

The autopsy reveals he shot himself on the left side of the head, just above the ear.
