Jeffrey Epstein had a way of ensnaring the rich and famous -- even presidents -- into his orbit, and 2 of his prized catches were Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, and he wasn't shy about trashing them.

In the days before Epstein died at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan, he was shooting the s*** with fellow prisoner William Mersey, who is now free and an accomplished writer and journalist. Mersey says he asked Epstein if he had an anecdote that was "emblematic of Donald Trump's essence."

Well, Epstein lit up and began telling a wild story involving a private jet, a French woman and Atlantic City. You gotta watch the clip.

It turns out Kim Kardashian's "absolutely not mad" at Paris Hilton for blowing off an interview for her book over a dozen times ... at least according to someone in Paris' inner circle.

A source close to Paris tells TMZ … the interview was being handled by an old assistant at her company, and it simply got lost in the shuffle of Paris' "hectic schedule."

We're told Paris "has a lot of projects happening at once and is constantly traveling, so coordinating interviews can sometimes be a challenge."

The FBI has offered its support to Philippine officials investigating Thomas Markle Sr.'s alleged possession of child pornography ... TMZ has learned.

An official with the FBI tells TMZ ... "The FBI is aware of the allegations and will provide support, as appropriate, to the Philippine authorities. We will also investigate any related allegations of federal violations of U.S. law."

Thomas has strongly denied the allegations.

Actress Brittany Curran -- famous for her work in "The Magicians" and "Chicago Fire" -- was arrested for public intoxication, TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Burbank Police got a call about a suspicious person knocking on a resident's door a little before 2 AM on October 19 ... and when cops arrived, they found Brittany showing "objective signs of alcohol intoxication."

We're told police asked her multiple times to go home -- she lived nearby -- but the actress refused ... and she was ultimately arrested.

The girls are fighting ... because Paris Hilton blew off being interviewed for Kim Kardashian's biography a whopping 17 times.

"Citizen Kim" author Jonathan Van Meter told The Hollywood Reporter that Paris repeatedly bailed on him when he tried to interview her for Kim's authorized biography.

He told the outlet he had to go through Paris' team, whereas for other celebs he says all Kim had to do was send a text.

"H3 Podcast" host Ethan Klein has been cheating on his wife, Hila Klein, for six months ... at least according to her ... they've separated, and now their show is on indefinite hiatus.

Hila made the bombshell claim on her Instagram, writing ... "I am living a nightmare I can't wake up from. My husband has been having an affair. I have been fed lie after lie after lie for months."

She claims she's had suspicions for a while ... but when she first sensed something was off, Ethan allegedly dismissed her concerns.

Hila says ... "Eventually, he was caught in a lie, and I knew I was done. But the lies continued. 'It was just a kiss' became 'it was emotional cheating.' After I dragged these lies from him, he finally admitted he'd been in an affair for over 6 months, the extent of which I'm sure I still don't know."

A woman from Florida died in Italy after plunging nearly 1,000 feet off a mountain ... going over the edge while trying to take a photo at an overlook.

President Donald Trump says Amy Acton's mom calling her a liar should be enough for Ohio voters to back Vivek Ramaswamy ... and he claims he doesn't know a thing about the rape allegations against her ex-stepfather.

POTUS spoke to reporters on the White House Lawn Friday morning ... and was asked about the recent Ramaswamy ad featuring Donna Arthur -- Acton's estranged mother -- calling her a liar and telling people not to vote for her.

A reporter then asks if he simply doesn't care about the sexual abuse allegations levied against Acton's ex-stepfather ... who was charged with raping her when she was a child. Her mother lost custody after the charge was filed.

Instead of answering the question, Trump did what he does best ... berating the NBC reporter and her network and repeating over and over that all that matters is Amy's mom thinks she's a liar.

2:00 PM PT -- An MSG spokesperson tells TMZ in a statement ... "The company had previously sent out an email to its corporate team as a simulation of a phishing attack designed to strengthen our security against hackers. MSG was recently hacked and extorted using an employee login and password obtained through a similar phishing attack. Using the rings as a lure to gain employees attention was an unfortunate mistake."

They continued ... "The company is gifting more than 275 championship rings and jewelry to players, coaches, employees and other members of the Knicks family, worth more than $3.7 million, in recognition of their contributions and celebrating this achievement."

Madison Square Garden employees who were surprised to see an email in their inbox offering a free New York Knicks championship ring were perhaps even more shocked to find out it was all a ruse ... part of a surprise security test to see if staffers would fall for a phishing scam.

The psych-out went down in September ... with The Athletic reporting that every MSG employee received an email offering a "complimentary employee championship ring" that could even be customized.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the email was part of a security simulation done by the security operations department of MSG.
