"The Other Woman" Is Creepy

Published

The newest "Long Island Lolita" really bugs me. Diana Bianchi plays the perfect victim -- in front of a TV camera, that is. It goes something like this -- "I was so young. I was just working in this toy store and, like, he just asked me to work in his architectural firm. And like, I was making all this money and then, like, he was just coming on to me. And of course, like, I never thought I was hurting Christie cause I was just well, like 18 or 19."

Give me a break. This "child," who now says she was screwing Christie's husband, was smart enough to lawyer up (with an attorney who is, let us say, camera-friendly), talk to the New York Post and the New York FOX affiliate. And her lawyer, Joe Tacopina, now claims his client has "got a great sexual harassment claim."

She gives sexual harassment a bad name. Not since the heinous woman who set up Bill O'Reilly have I been so offended by such a claim. In my world, people who feel sexually harassed don't start spilling their guts to the media, in particular the New York Post. Don't get me wrong -- I love the Post. It just doesn't feel like a move someone with a righteous claim would make.

It feels as if this story was going to get out -- probably by Brinkley's camp -- so she, with the help of Tacopina, stepped out in front to manage and exploit it. And, just like the "gifts" she got from Christie's husband, there could be yet another pot of gold at the end of this rainbow.

Do you really think an 18-year-old is not capable of understanding what's up with a married guy who offers the toy store clerk a job in his architectural firm? She's either incredibly dumb or just plain manipulative, and I'm not sure which is worse. As the saying goes, "Sinners can reform, but stupid is forever."

"Other Woman" in Brinkley Split Speaks

Published | Updated

The teenage girl who came between Christie Brinkley and her estranged husband, Peter Cook, is talking about about their steamy relationship and how it became sexual.

Diana Bianchi, now 19, told WNYW, the FOX affiliate in New York, that she met the 47-year-old Cook in May 2005 when Bianchi, then 17, was working at a toy store in the Hamptons. Bianchi says Cook offered her a job at his architecture firm. Within a month, she says, things turned sexual.

"He'd make advances verbally towards me first," Bianchi told WNYW's Rosanna Scotto. "It just escalated into something I didn't expect ... I never expected that he would take it to a different level."

Bianchi knew that Cook was married, but says that Cook never made her any promises. "He didn't say he was going to leave her. He just basically left it at he wished things were different. He wished that he was younger or he had met me at a different time ... I never asked him to leave her for me."

At one point during the interview, Bianchi's attorney stepped in, saying that Cook "preyed on her vulnerability, her naïveté, her age, her immaturity."

Bianchi says Cook would leave money for her, even providing a down payment on her car.

Brinkley and Cook have been married for a decade. Bianchi could be a key witness in the couple's divorce case, with a reported $60 million on the line. Bianchi's lawyer, Joe Tacopina, says his client has "got a great sexual harassment claim" against Cook.

Nia Long's Street Brawl

Published | Updated

Actress Nia Long found herself the center of attention Friday night at L.A.'s Grove shopping center while shopping with a new beau.

The actress of "Boiler Room" and "Big Momma's House" fame and a mystery man were on the streets of the hip shopping center when Long's ex, Massai Z. Dorsey, ran into the pair. Apparently there's bad blood between the guys because a street brawl broke out between Dorsey and Long's new guy, right in the middle of the shopping center!

Sources tell TMZ that the Long's guy friend kicked Long's ex's butt - hands down - leaving him lying on the street as he and Long took off running.

As Long was running, she even lost her shoe- yet didn't seem to care. She left the shoe behind and kept running!

Long and Dorsey have a 5 year old son together named Massai Zhivago Dorsey II.

Calls to both parties' reps were not returned.

Weezer Undone

Published

Rivers Cuomo has broken the hearts of indie fans the world over with his announcement to MTV that Weezer is on hiatus, possibly forever.

"Really, for the moment, we are done. I'm not certain we'll make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need one done" Rivers told MTV.

Maybe marriage and having a college degree had something to do with Rivers' decision. Life changes such as those tend to make a person re-evaluate his or her direction. Or possibly he decided to bow out using the old entertainment saying "leave them wanting more". Either way, it leaves fans perplexed with this sudden decision.

While he left the door slightly ajar for more music (he tells MTV he's been writing new music like mad), he isn't going to be going solo any time soon. Of the new songs, he says "I certainly don't see them becoming Weezer songs and I don't really see the point of a solo career."

Whatever happens, Weezer fans will be on the edge of their seats awaiting Rivers' musical return.

Sheryl Misses Lance: "That Phantom Itch"

Published | Updated

Sheryl Crow isn't angry with Lance Armstrong over their break-up, but she clearly misses him immensely, saying that losing Lance was like "having part of your life amputated."

In an exclusive interview following the very public end of her relationship with Armstrong and her battle with breast cancer, Crow told "Good Morning America's" Diane Sawyer that there was a growing divide between her and Armstrong over the last days of their time together, but that she absolutely didn't believe that Armstrong "bailed" on her when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The singer-songwriter seemed calm and resolute when talking about the fight to save her life, but certainly made it clear that the seven-time Tour de France winner, to whom she was engaged for five months, still occupied a significant place in her heart.

"You still have that phantom itch, you know, where you wake up and I'll see something and think, 'Oh, I've got to make sure Lance is hip to this band. I've got to put it on his iPod.' And then I remember, 'Oh, wait, you know, that's not my life."

Part II of Sawyer's interview with Crow airs Friday morning.

Nick and Jessica -- Don't Shut Me Out

Published

I am inviting the wrath of TMZ users by even raising the issue, but here goes. We have the right to know how Jessica and Nick resolve their fight over money.

In this country, court hearings are public -- it's so important, it's constitutional. The reason is simple -- if judges know people are looking, they won't abuse their authority.

The biggest legal shell game in Hollywood these days has been celebrities hiring retired judges to hear their divorces. The retired judges hear the cases in their law offices, with no one watching.

Last year, TMZ began pressing the matter with the L.A. County courts. We found a law that says these hearings must be public, and it seems the big wigs in charge of the courts now agree.

So back to the question -- is it right for us to watch and report about a celebrity couple's legal fight over money? I'm sure some of you say, "Who cares," or "It's none of your frickin' business." But the point behind open trials is that once you start making exceptions, where do you draw the line? Close the trial of Jessica Simpson. Then, close the trial of Kobe Bryant. Then, close the trial of accused terrorists.

I've seen what happens to some judges when they go unchecked. There have been some remarkably shameful federal judges who have lifetime tenure, who just don't care because nothing can happen to them. Just imagine how abusive the system would become if judges felt they could do anything they wanted because no one was looking. Today Jessica, tomorrow -- well God help you if you end up in court.

Nick and Jessica About to Seal the Big D

Published | Updated

TMZ has obtained legal documents which make it all but certain that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are both about to become legally single.

The documents, which were signed by both Simpson and Lachey and filed in L.A. County Superior Court, ask that a retired judge be appointed specifically to enter a divorce decree.

In legal terms, Simpson and Lachey are asking to "bifurcate" the divorce case, meaning the divorce can become final and the parties can then deal with the messy financial matters separately. The documents ask that retired Judge Dana Senit Henry be appointed "for the sole purpose of conducting the hearing, if any, with respect to the bifurcated issue of the termination of marital status."

Everclear Video: Jesus Hater or Hater Jesus?

Published

A contentious debate is starting to brew on various blogs and message boards about the new Everclear video "Hater Jesus." The video is full of religious imagery, and beyond bloggers, is likely raise the ire of certain television Bible-thumpers.

In commenting on the song, Everclear's frontman Art Alexakis says: "some people write love songs, some people write happy songs but I've written what I think is the ultimate 'break up' song." For the "Hater" video, the song's theme was broadened, as it rails against "those who justify violence in the name of religion-in this case." The fictional "Hater Jesus" character even has his own Myspace page (hey, who doesn't?).

The video is making the rounds on YouTube and iFilm, but given the "curse words" will have to edited for any potential MTV airings. But, the naughty words are not the only thing causing a stir. The main character is a not-so-nice young fellow walking around in a crown of thorns causing mischief, using Bibles pages for rolling paper and drinking more than communion wine. Not exactly the Jesus depicted in the Scriptures.

Wait to Bill O'Reilly gets a hold of this!
