Sandra Bullock's Biggest Adoption Hint

Published | Updated

Sandra Bullock dropped a big adoption hint when she bought her New Orleans home in June 2009 -- but no one noticed.

Sandra formed a corporation on June 5, 2009 that purchased the $2.25 million Victorian home a few days later. The name of the corp -- Big Easy Bebe LLC. It's an educated guess, but we're thinkin' "Bebe" is slang for baby. We doubt she named the corporation after a clothing store.

Sandra says the process of adopting bebe Louis took four years ... so when she bought the house she was nearing the finish line.

Sandra Bullock Files for Divorce in Austin, Texas

Published | Updated

TMZ has learned Sandra Bullock filed for divorce in Travis County Court in Austin, Texas ... and the reason it didn't surface until now is because Sandra turned it into a puzzle.

The case was filed under Sandra's initials -- backwards ... B.A.S.

Jesse James was also identified by his initials -- J.J.G. Jesse's middle name is Gregory.

The document was filed April 23.

As for grounds of divorce, the petition says, "The marriage between Petitioner and Respondent has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectations of reconciliation."

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, "There is no child under eighteen years of age or otherwise entitled to support who was born or adopted of this marriage and none is expected."

According to the docs, Sandra is a resident of Texas. Jesse "is of legal age and agrees to proceed in Austin, Travis County, Texas."

According to the petition, the parties were married in 2005 "and have ceased to live together as husband and wife."

As for the firm Sandra hired -- Chaffe McCall -- she's used the firm in the past to litigate a tax issue. A lawyer in the firm claimed a man who set up fraudulent tax shelters had given Bullock advice, after her dad saw an ad for tax shelters in an in-flight airline magazine.

Jesse James, Sandra Bullock Don't Get Support

Published | Updated

Jesse James and Sandra Bullock will truly be on their own after their divorce becomes final, because neither will be entitled to spousal support -- i.e., alimony.

Several prominent Texas family lawyers tell TMZ ... in order to get "spousal maintenance" the couple must have been married for a minimum of 10 years. Sandra and Jesse missed that mark by 5 years.

But there's this -- we're told if there is any community property to divide, the judge can consider "fault" and award less than half of the property to the guilty party. But Sandra did not file her petition by claiming fault -- i.e., adultery. Her petition is no-fault, claiming the marriage is irretrievably broken. As such, community assets will be divided 50/50. We do not know if the couple has a prenup.

As for how long the divorce will take ... much faster than California. The minimum time is 60 days from the date of filing.

Sandra Bullock Divorce No Patience for Nazis

Published | Updated

Sandra Bullock -- who has now filed for divorce -- claims she was absolutely dumbfounded when she first saw the photo of her soon-to-be-ex husband Jesse James giving the Nazi salute ... claiming, "This is not the man I married."

10 pages into her adoption/divorce interview with People Magazine -- after front-loading the story with everything but her relationship with Jesse -- the magazine asked the question, "Were you aware of any interest [Jesse] may have had in white supremacy or Nazism?"

Bullock responded, "The photo shocked me and made me sad. This is not the man I married. This was stupid, this was ignorant. Racism, anti-Semitism, sexism, homophobia, anything Nazi and a boatload of other things have no place in my life."

Bullock added, "And the man I married felt the same."

As for her newly adopted African-American baby, Bullock told the magazine she arranged for the child to have a bris -- the Jewish circumcision ceremony.

Sandra Bullock Files for Divorce, Adopts Baby

Published | Updated

Sandra Bullock says she is divorcing Jesse James -- AND she's adopted a baby boy, according to People.

Sandra told People she has filed for divorce, adding "I'm sad and I am scared" -- though she does not reveal where the petition was filed. She says she had no idea about Jesse's infidelity.

She also reveals that she's adopted a 3 1/2 month old boy named Louis Bardo Bullock -- and though she and Jesse started the adoption process four years ago and brought the boy home together in January, she now plans to raise him as a single parent.

Of the baby, who was born in New Orleans and named after Louis Armstrong, Bullock says "He's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way ... It's like he's always been a part of our lives."

Despite the messy split, she says of James, "I really don't know how our paths will intersect in the future, but the father I have known Jesse to be ... is one that I hope Louis can experience one day, no matter how Jesse and I go on with our lives."

Jesse tells the magazine "I know in my heart that I can be the best father possible to my four children and the mate Sandy deserves, and realize that this is an incredible mountain to climb. But believe the steps I have taken in the last 30 days are the foundation to making this happen."

Sandra and Jesse have been married for almost five years. He has three children from two previous marriages.

Larry King -- Breakfast and a Lawyer

Published | Updated

Sources tell TMZ Larry King signed a legal document that put his fortune on the line based on a strategic decision -- his lawyer's office was within walking distance of his favorite breakfast deli.

TMZ broke the story ... Larry inked a post-nup more than two years ago, not only signing over three houses to wife Shawn Southwick, but declaring that his entire fortune -- about $144 million -- was community property (50/50).

Larry's famed divorce lawyer Dennis Wasser tells TMZ the agreement was the result of undue influence, because Shawn strong-armed Larry into getting advice from her powerhouse divorce lawyer Joe Mannis.

But Mannis says there was no strong-arming, and that all he did was give Larry the names of three lawyers who would give him advice on signing the document. One of the lawyers was Mannis' former law partner -- Daniel Barbakow.

Mannis tells TMZ Larry chose Barbakow not because of some sinister plot, but because Barbakow's office was within walking distance of Nate 'n Al deli in Beverly Hills -- a place Larry frequents daily and religiously (Larry's home at the time was also a few blocks away from the law office).

We may never know if the post-nup was Kosher because it looks like Larry and Shawn are about to drop the divorce -- at least for now.

Larry and wife Shawn Southwick are going to their marriage counselor this afternoon, sources tell TMZ.

We're told Larry is especially concerned about how a divorce would affect his two young children.

People familiar with the agreement tell TMZ that although Larry and Shawn are trying to work things out, we're told the lawyers have been at it. They are arguing over the validity of the post-nup that Larry signed a few years back -- a post-nup that not only gives the couple's three homes to Shawn but also declares all of the couple's assets as community property.
