Jessica Simpson is finally explaining why her kids were riding economy while she was chilling up front in first class during that awkward flight with ex Nick Lachey ... and according to her, blame Grandma!

We caught up with Jessica at the airport and she was cracking up over the whole thing -- insisting the seating setup wasn’t her doing because her mom booked the Hawaii trip as a treat for the family.

Clearly, Mama Simpson's first-class money only stretched so far ... but hey, a trip was still a nice gesture at the end of the day!

Hayden Panettiere is revealing just how terrifying her postpartum depression battle became -- admitting she spiraled so badly she needed alcohol the second she woke up just to function.

In "This Is Me: A Reckoning," Hayden detailed her traumatic C-section that left her with a uterine infection and seven blood transfusions, before emotionally struggling to bond with daughter Kaya in the weeks after.

The actress says hearing another mom admit she also struggled to connect with her child gave her a euphoric sense of relief -- one she became desperate to recreate through drinking.

Tyrese and his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell, have a nasty history ... but they decide to play it civil for their daughter Shayla's recent high school graduation.

The trio posed for a picture outside the famed Nobu in Malibu ... Tyrese writing in the caption that he could not be more proud of his first born -- who already landed a full-ride scholarship to an undisclosed college.

The message from the proud papa was lengthy and sweet ... but it was also nice for fans to see the trio together -- and getting along.

Hayden Panettiere's estranged mom has some harsh judgment about her daughter's upcoming memoir ... accusing the actress of giving her "20 years of trauma" -- and suggesting the whole thing's more about selling books than healing wounds.

Lesley Vogel unloaded over Hayden's tell-all, "This Is Me: A Reckoning," saying, "There is a personality 'style' which manifests as a need for control, entitlement and a lack of empathy. The major fear is that someone will see through the mask they present to the world and discover who they truthfully are."

Lesley told Page Six there’s no fixing the "condition" she was referring to ... claiming years of support and encouragement "will never be enough," and eventually she had no choice but to go no-contact.

There's a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit about Aaron Carter ... TMZ has learned.

Aaron's ex-fiancée Melanie Martin filed a lawsuit on behalf of their son, Princeton Lyric Carter, back in October 2023 ... claiming Aaron's drowning death was set in motion by doctors, dentists, mental health clinics, and pharmacies that prescribed him various medications.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, one psychiatrist and one mental health clinic named in the lawsuit reached a confidential financial settlement in April.

Paris Jackson scored a major win in her battle over money spent by the executors running her late father Michael Jackson's estate -- while the executors also received praise for their work ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles judge ruled that $625K in bonuses -- paid by executors John Branca and John McClain to third-party law firms -- will have to be returned to the estate.

As TMZ first reported ... last year, Paris raised concerns about certain bonuses paid out to third-party law firms that worked on the estate in 2018. Paris claimed the bonuses were excessive and not approved.
