Pete Davidson is checking into a mental health facility -- his latest attempt to get himself right ... TMZ has confirmed.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us the comedian and 'SNL' alum has entered a wellness facility in order to focus on his mental health -- although, the details on where exactly he's getting treated and for how long are scarce at the moment.

The news -- first reported by People -- comes as Pete's upcoming comedy gigs were being canceled left and right ... he had 8 scheduled shows scattered across the country over the next 3 months that have since been nixed.

She adds, "Erica was an amazing woman and talented entertainer who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor, and genuine zest for life. Her memory will live eternally in our hearts. In honor of Erica’ memory, the family asks that any donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or the Breast Cancer Foundation of your choice. We are grateful for the kind expressions of love and support during this difficult time."

The Las Vegas Raiders are really poking the bear at training camp ... electing to take a playful shot at their division rival's best player, Patrick Mahomes ... with a Kermit The Frog puppet dressed up as the Kansas City Chiefs superstar!!

The comedian completed 50 hours of community service, a safe driving course and attended a Mother's Against Drunk Driving victim impact program. Those were the court-required terms of a diversion program put in place after he was charged in the March 2023 incident ... according to Rolling Stone.

PD apparently finished the program quickly too ... wrapping it all up approximately 6 months before the judge's deadline.
