1:11 PM PT -- The NYPD tells TMZ ... cops responded to the 911 call just after 5 PM on Thursday -- and found King unconscious. He was unresponsive, and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is looking into his cause of death.

Eugene Thomas King Jr. -- the convicted bank robber who held a gun to Paula Deen's temple in 1987 -- has been found dead in New York City ... TMZ has learned.

Family sources tell TMZ ... King was found dead Thursday inside his Brooklyn apartment. It's currently unclear what caused his death.

The man who held Paula Deen at gunpoint died from cardiovascular disease, a natural cause ... TMZ has learned.

Eugene Thomas King Jr. died from hypertensive and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, the New York City Medical Examiner's Officer tells us.

According to the Mayo Clinic, hypertensive and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease is caused when high-blood pressure damages the arteries and causes plaque to build up. This is considered a natural cause of death by the M.E.

Jeffrey Epstein seemingly used doctors to exercise control over women ... even withholding the money for a woman's acne treatment in one instance.

The New York Times released an exposé which focused on communications between Epstein and doctors -- released by the Department of Justice last month -- which appear to show the convicted pedophile controlling the medical care women in his life were receiving.

Epstein did this in several ways, NYT explains ... from communicating with doctors who gave him final say in decisions he had no right to make to refusing to give over money for treatments.

Terrion Arnold's team is responding to reports the Detroit Lions cornerback is tied to a robbery and kidnapping incident that occurred in Florida earlier this month ... telling TMZ Sports he had no "involvement whatsoever."

Arnold's lawyer -- Timothy Jansen -- provided a statement on Friday ... making it clear that NFLer's hands are clean despite being named in Judge Logan Murphy's order to hold one of the alleged conspirators on pre-trial detention.

"He did not participate in, nor was he present for, any conduct related to the alleged offenses. There is no evidence in police reports, text messages, or witness statements that implicates Mr. Arnold in any way."

Ryan Garcia had an unwelcome guest Thursday night -- TMZ Sports is told an alleged burglar hopped a fence and tried to enter his home ... before scurrying away as cops responded to the scene.

Law enforcement sources tell us the incident went down around 9:35 PM, with officers receiving a call for an attempted burglary at the boxing superstar's residence in L.A.

By the time cops got to the home, the suspect was gone ... and a search of the area came up short. It's unclear if Garcia was inside when the attempted burglary went down.

Video has gone viral of a man in Sacramento who was terrorizing unsuspecting motorists by hanging off moving cars in busy traffic ... with his bare butt on display.

The unidentified man was filmed dangling from at least 3 separate vehicles this week, with one moving as fast as 40 MPH -- the driver no doubt freaked out by him attaching himself to their car.

In one instance, the man begins losing his pants ... and it appears his bare cheeks are about to scrape along the road.

Shia LaBeouf asked a Louisiana judge to defer to an even higher power ... begging the court to be allowed to leave the country to attend his father's baptism.

The actor filed documents earlier this week requesting to leave the jurisdiction from March 1 to March 8 for religious reasons to see his dad, Jeffrey ... who is set to be baptized in Rome, Italy.

3:37 PM PT -- A source connected to the investigation tells TMZ ... the FBI has looked at the video and says it's a dead end ... the area where the cars are driving as well as the ingress and egress has led the Agency to the conclusion the cars have no association with the kidnapping.

Update in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case ... a never-before-seen video has surfaced from early on the morning of Feb. 1, the day investigators believe Nancy was taken.

The video, recorded about 2.5 miles away from Nancy's Tucson, Arizona home, shows vehicles speeding by, which could lead to more clues.

Fox News reports the footage comes from a house in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood -- about 7 minutes from Nancy's house -- from a street-facing Ring camera. The property reportedly sits on a back road and avoids major intersections.

The time stamp on the video shows the footage was recorded from about 12:30 AM to 6 AM Mountain Time.

Law enforcement is searching for an escaped inmate in a dense area of Los Angeles County ... and cops say the inmate fled from a hospital where they were getting treatment.

The manhunt is going down right now in Torrance, in the southwestern part of the metro area ... where police say an inmate escaped from custody during medical treatment at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center.

Cops have set up a perimeter and are searching the area ... and there are reports the escaped inmate is a felony suspect who may be holed up in a home near the hospital.

Police helicopters are circling the skies and there are SWAT teams on the ground.

Where you going, Shia LaBeouf?!? The movie star was caught on video Thursday running down the street in New Orleans after his contentious court appearance.

Watch the clip ... Shia's wearing boots made for running and a light jacket as he sprints away from the cameraperson, who followed Shia as he left the courthouse.

Shia never turns around in the video and eventually evades the cameraperson by crossing the street without waiting for the crosswalk to signal to change.

A judge absolutely tore into Shia LaBeouf in court today for his alleged copious use of the homophobic F-word during the actor's recent brouhaha in New Orleans ... and ordered him to participate in weekly drug tests.

In court Thursday, a judge determined Shia was not taking his addiction seriously and, by using a homophobic slur, he'd threatened the safety of a marginalized community that has gone through "so much terror already."

As you know ... Shia has been charged with 2 counts of simple battery after he allegedly punched a bar worker, sparking a street melee that ended with Shia in handcuffs last week.

Cops were called out to Shia LaBeouf's New Orleans home a few times prior to his Mardi Gras arrest -- including once for an alleged fight between exes that allegedly included a punch below the belt ... according to police records obtained by TMZ.

Docs show a call for service at a NOLA home belonging to Shia for an alleged incident in early February between an unnamed man and the man's ex-girlfriend.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, cops say the man told police he was inside his home Feb 8. around 11:30 PM showing the place to his girlfriend when he heard a knock at the door and saw his ex-girlfriend entering the home and running toward them.

This is snow laughing matter! The NYPD has arrested a young man for allegedly assaulting officers in NYC with a snowball earlier this week.

Twenty-seven-year-old Gusmane Coulibaly made a blizzard of bad decisions lately, according to the NYPD.

Police allege Coulibaly was among those in the crowd who hurled snowballs at cops in Washington Square Park ... after previously having been arrested for an attempted robbery in the transit system.

Audio of a 911 call from a Las Vegas mother-daughter murder-suicide before a cheer competition this month has been released by police ... revealing the moment officers responded to their hotel room, as well as the missing-person report the girl's father called in.

In the audio, obtained by TMZ, the first call to Las Vegas Metropolitan PD comes in from the local fire department, asking for an ambulance response to the Rio Hotel & Resort for 2 patients at the scene ... each suffering a gunshot wound to the head.

The caller notes a medication bottle located in the room with the mother's name on the label. Later, the fire department calls LVMPD back and confirms the incident was a murder-suicide involving mother and a juvenile.

Ghislaine Maxwell is a real stinker in federal prison ... as a matter of fact, she smells like "armpits," according to one inmate who knows her well.

The female inmate -- who we confirmed was incarcerated with Maxwell from 2023 to 2025 -- had daily contact with the convicted child sex trafficker at FCI Tallahassee in Florida ... and it was a smelly experience, to say the least.

Maxwell was transferred to FCI Tallahassee in 2022 after she was convicted on sex trafficking and other charges for conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors. A judge sentenced her to 20 years in federal prison.

The inmate -- who only spoke on the condition of anonymity while still in Bureau of Prisons custody -- tells us Maxwell "has horrible personal hygiene" and "would shower once or twice a week," despite prisoners having regular access to the shower facilities.
