The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee screwed St. John's, but it doesn't make a bit of difference, according to former SJU star Metta World Peace ... who tells TMZ Sports the hoopers from Jamaica, Queens will soon be cutting down the nets!

"It makes no sense. I don't know how we were a 5 seed," World Peace told Babcock on Monday. "I thought St. John's was going to be a one-seed."

Many college basketball fans were shocked when the Johnnies were named a 5-seed on Sunday ... a day after running UCONN, a 2-seed, out of Madison Square Garden the day before in the Big East Championship game.

Taylor Frankie Paul is sharing custody of her son with baby daddy Dakota Mortensen amid an investigation into claims of child and spousal abuse ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the situation tell TMZ ... the 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' stars have not seen or spoken to one another in three weeks, ever since a heated argument that allegedly turned physical and resulted in Dakota calling police.

Taylor and Dakota have a son, Ever, who turns 2 this week, and we're told they are sharing custody as the Utah Division of Child and Family Services conducts an investigation. It's unclear which parent -- or both -- are being investigated.

Taylor Frankie Paul's baby daddy, Dakota Mortensen, has a much different view of what went down between them 3 weeks ago, and believes he's the real victim ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" production tell TMZ ... Dakota and Taylor were spending time together at his place when they started fighting about Dakota's romantic past -- namely his hookup with cast member Shinia Powell.

We're told it got physical as Taylor allegedly choked Dakota and ripped his necklace off, and grabbed his throat and face ... and this happened with their son, Ever, in the room.

Meghan Trainor is looking to part ways with her sprawling Los Angeles area estate ... 'cause TMZ has learned she's put the property on the market for millions.

Real estate sources tell us the Encino compound hit the market about a week ago for $6.9 million, offering a massive celebrity retreat tucked behind gates and tall hedges.

The property is huge by any standard -- featuring 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and about 14,164 square feet of living space, all sitting on roughly 1.09 acres.

Jessica Alba will split half of her residuals for her work in Taylor Swift’s music video and "The Office" with her ex-husband, Cash Warren, TMZ has learned. 

TMZ obtained the divorce settlement signed by Jessica and Cash on February 12.

The exes share three children: Honor, 17, Haven, 14, and Hayes, 7. 

Per the docs, Jessica was awarded all furniture, clothing and jewelry in her possession. She will split the furniture that was in their former marital home and their art collection.

Production on "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" has been put on ice after allegations of child and spousal abuse, and we've learned it's gotten so crazy Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen have been ordered to get psych evaluations.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Dakota has called the Utah Division of Child and Family Services more than a few times, alleging Taylor has been physically abusive to their son Ever, who turns 2 this week. Our sources say Taylor denies the allegation, and Dakota has become frustrated that no action has been taken.

Things came to a head late last month, when Taylor and Dakota were driving in his car and got in a heated argument. We're told a drink was spilled on the seat and on Dakota, and he became enraged. Sources connected to Taylor say he got physical with her. We're told Dakota called the police and said Taylor was the one who got physical.

Our Taylor sources say Dakota went MIA for nearly 3 weeks after the car incident, and that's why production stopped. He has an important part in the show, and producers wanted to wait until he resurfaced. Sources connected to the show tell us a different story ... that cast members refused to continue filming -- despite producers wanting to keep filming -- because of the child and spousal abuse allegations.

Michael B. Jordan wasn't the only "Sinners" actor having a great Oscars Sunday ... we caught up with Miles Caton at LAX today, where he could barely talk after the wild night!

Big drama for Huda Mustafa ... her boyfriend Louis Russell's ex-girlfriend is seeking court-ordered protection from the "Love Island" star, alleging Huda threatened to kill herself and tried to break into her home.

Nicole Olivera beelined it to court Thursday and filed for a restraining order against Huda, who she claims threatened her and Louis' baby boy and broke into their Los Angeles building.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Nicole claims Huda swore on her daughter's life she was going to kill herself and then made a bunch of "terrifying" and "extremely mentally unstable" threats against herself, her daughter, and Nicole's son before showing up to Nicole's home and breaking into the building.

D4vd's former good friend Neo appears to have turned against him in the Celeste Rivas death investigation, and attorney Mark Geragos tells us Neo could be D4vd's worst nightmare.

Geragos tells TMZ ... Neo likely invoked the Fifth Amendment before a grand jury and may be currently negotiating immunity in exchange for cooperating with authorities.

Here's "The Sandlot" star Marty York getting into a physical altercation with another man outside a Hollywood hot spot ... Marty throws a couple of punches, takes a couple to the face, and rips his shirt off ... and it's all on video.

TMZ obtained footage showing Marty fighting with a large, muscular man Saturday outside the Warwick nightclub on Sunset Boulevard ... the brawl starts on the sidewalk outside the venue, then spills into a nearby parking garage.

Marty takes his shirt off as they box in between a bunch of parked cars ... and it looks like both men are pretty wobbly ... Marty's opponent even falls to the ground after throwing a flurry of punches.

"Back to the Future" actor Matt Clark has passed away ... but he got to connect with Michael J. Fox for one more time-traveling chat, TMZ has learned.

We broke the news ... Clark, whose illustrious film and TV resume goes back decades, including 'BTTF: Part III,' died in his Texas home on Sunday. He was 89.

A source with knowledge tells TMZ ... Clark was a part of the big “Back to the Future” reunion at the Dallas Fan Expo last year in Texas for the film's 40th anniversary ... and while there, he and MJF chopped it up backstage. Clark was also part of the cast Q&A.

We're told the two actors -- who have been together for about four years -- are gearing up to welcome a baby, though details like the due date and gender of the child are still under wraps.

Actress Alexandra Paul -- known for her roles on "Baywatch" and John Carpenter's "Christine" -- is in hot water with the law ... she was arrested in Wisconsin over the weekend, TMZ has learned.

According to criminal records obtained by TMZ, Alexandra was arrested and booked Sunday on one count of trespassing. The papers say she was arrested on Sunday morning and later booked in the county jail that afternoon.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office ... Alexandra's arrest was related to a protest at Ridglan Farms -- a controversial breeding facility in Blue Mounds, about 30 miles west of Madison.

Grace Lilly's latest arrest last week apparently didn't come out of nowhere ... it seems to have been triggered by new lab results tied to her previous run-in with cops, TMZ has learned.

According to an incident report, obtained by TMZ, cops say they tested the pills police found in the "Southern Hospitality" star's purse during her December arrest in Charleston, SC. Authorities say the lab results showed the 12 white pills contained clonazepam -- which is often sold under the brand name Klonopin -- a controlled substance commonly prescribed for anxiety and seizure disorders.

It's illegal to possess the medication without a valid prescription ... and the report says an officer drafted an affidavit and a judge signed a warrant, which appears to be what ultimately led to Grace's arrest on March 10.

Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, were duking it out in court months before their issues led "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" producers to shut production down temporarily ... TMZ has learned.

According to online court records obtained by TMZ, Dakota went to court over custody and support of their son Ever back in June 2025. Taylor filed a response and counterclaim a couple of weeks later. 

It looks like a proposed order on custody, support, and parenting time was filed in the case around September.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences knows people are pissed about perceived snubs during last night's Oscars in memoriam ... but there's nothing cold-hearted about it, TMZ is told.

A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... the Academy receives hundreds of requests to include loved ones and industry colleagues for the show's in memoriam segment. Through those, an executive committee representing every branch considers the list ... and makes recommendations for the telecast based on the limited run of show time. All the submissions are included on Oscars.org -- and remain there for the year.

As we reported ... there was some serious backlash online after Eric Dane and James Van Der Beek, among a few others, were omitted from the segment ... with people asking how these snubs seem to happen year after year.
