Star's Range Rover Rage

Published | Updated

Star Jones just can't catch a break! She attended socialite Claudia Cohen's party last Saturday in the Hamptons, accompanied by hubby Al Reynolds and fellow (well, former fellow) daytime talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa -- a needed break after a busy week of triggering a feud with Barbara Walters.

At the end of the party, a TMZ spy says, a mix-up with her parking ticket left Star cooling her heels at the valet stand, until almost all of the guests had gone and all but two of the cars were claimed – a Honda and her Range Rover.

According to our spy, Jones told the beleaguered attendant, "You better get my Range Rover before that HONDA!" Luckily for him, he complied, and she sped off into the Long Island night. Our source says Star left without tipping the valet.

They're all blonde and models, just like Paris. See pictures of the hot guys here.

Babwa Hate Star

Published

Barbara Walters has hated Star Jones for a long time, and it has nothing to do with Rosie O'Donnell.

I'm told Barbara utterly turned on Star during the diva's wedding. Walters was horrified by the freebies Star was getting and felt she was making "The View" look awful.

But it goes beyond all that. For several years, I've heard that Barbara was fed up with Star acting like she was all that. It's true, no one has a higher opinion of Star than herself. I remember during the O.J. Simpson civil trial (her pre-gastric surgery days), when someone I know complimented her on her hairstyle. Star's response: "That's my Audrey Hepburn look."

Star has pissed off an awful lot of people in Hollywood who feel she treated them shabbily -- that, by the way is an extreme understatement. It's no surprise that Barbara Walters ultimately turned on her.

The problem is, now Walters is starting to look really bad, publicly feuding with Jones. She should follow her smart self and just shut up. But she can't. You see, that's how much she hates Star.

The Curse of Paris Hilton

Published | Updated

Being friends with Paris Hilton has its advantages. You can always get into the hottest clubs. You always know if something is "hot." And, um, well ... there's probably a few other good things too.

But being pals with Paris can also be filled with pitfalls. Here's a look at a few celebs that Paris has been known to cavort with - and how things aren't going all that well for them lately.

Nicole Richie
The original Paris Hilton sidekick. Nicole and Paris were once like the Hollywood club version of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Their friendship was so amusing, FOX turned it into a TV show -- "The Simple Life."

But Paris and Nicole had a falling out - "Nicole knows what she did," Paris once said - and the pair went on to film the current season of "Simple Life" separately.

Lately, Nicole's love life - including her on-again, off-again relationship with DJ AM - seems to the only thing keeping her in the tabs (well, that and her weight). Nicole was even photographed earlier this month with an ex of Paris Hilton - skateboarder Chad Muska.

Lindsay's Little Drummer Boy?

Published

These days between feuding with Paris and P-Diddy and being mentored by Madonna, Lindsay Lohan probably doesn't have much time for romance. But the drummer from the British band McFly says that wasn't the case last year when he met the actress/singer on the set of "Just My Luck" when McFly shot a cameo appearance in the film.

A British tabloid is reporting that McFly drummer Harry Judd says he was Lindsay's temporary love bug one night last year. Judd says the two snuggled in a limo and was invited to her hotel:

"I was really nervous because she is so successful and talented. I thought, 'This is awesome'. Then she invited me back to her hotel. I left at eight next morning." He added: "She still isn't admitting it."

Who knows if he's telling the truth, but a quick note to Harry...if you want to get return engagements with these young celebrity lovelies you may want to keep your mouth shut.

The band even has a new video coming out next month called "Please, Please Lindsay, Please."

Superman or Super-Gay?

Published | Updated

When the Man of Steel flies into theaters next week, he'll have more to worry about than just Kryptonite. After a cover article in gay and lesbian magazine The Advocate questioned the superhero's sexuality, rumors have been swirling that maybe he's not into Lois Lane and could be more of a Jimmy Olsen fan.

At the film's Westwood premiere last night the film's director and cast shot the rumors down faster than a speeding bullet.

LL: I'm Steroid and Surgery Free

Published | Updated

From Jeff Davidson's Sound Bytes blog

38-year-old LL Cool J still has the looks of a twenty-something. His sculpted abs are nearly as famous as his rhymes. But, some have accused the Long Island born rapper of cosmetically or otherwise enhancing his appearance. In an interview with Ebony magazine, LL hits back at the haters:

"There have been a lot of questions, a lot of speculation. To be real frank, there are so many people speculating over what they think that I am doing. Is he doing steroids? Did he get plastic surgery?" he says. "It speaks more about the people who are making comments than it does about me. It tells me that they cheat and they're cheaters. They are not willing to make the sacrifices necessary, and go through the pain necessary, in order to get in the best shape they can possibly be. So they don't believe I would be willing to do it either. So it is really more about their weakness, and less about mine. It doesn't make me feel anything other than that it is unfortunate that people are weak like that. They are weak. It points out their flaws."

Come on now...you know you don't mess with no LL! The entire interview is in the July Ebony and LL is on tour now in support of his latest release "Todd Smith."

Kate and Len Click for the Cameras

Published | Updated

Actress Kate Beckinsale and her director husband Len Wiseman went out for a long day of lunching, shopping, and rather conspicuous hand-holding, arm-clutching, and, in one slightly awkward case, high-fiving.

The pair, accompanied on their jaunt around Los Angeles' Robertson Boulevard by a phalanx of photographers, ate at The Ivy then wandered into several area stores, including fashionista haven Lisa Kline and Italian furniture emporium Poliform, all the while dauntlessly disrupting onrushing traffic by strolling through the middle of streets.

Beckinsale and Wiseman have been the subject of recent tabloid speculation suggesting that their marriage has hit the skids, fueled by Wiseman's absence at the recent premiere of her upcoming movie "Click" and a report, subsequently denied, that the two were living in separate homes. The pair seemed, at least physically speaking, very much attached to one another, and Beckinsale responds to a cameraman's question about their looking happy by saying, with some iciness, "That's a surprise."

Paris... She Shoots, She Scores!

Paris Hilton was in Canada for the Much Music Awards over the weekend and the heiress was quite friendly with a new man. Miss Hilton was seen partying and holding hands with hockey player Jose Theodore, goalie for the Colorado Avalanche.

Surprisingly, the two left Club Ultra in Toronto together, and headed to Paris' hotel. Paris skipped into the front of the hotel and waited in the lobby for her date. Theodore waited briefly, then exited Hilton's car to join her.

Paris rep tells TMZ "Paris is single now, as she has stated publicly. This is a time in her life where she will be concentrating both on her work and friends. Nobody should read into any photos, gossip or reports about her social life."

Kidman Bump Watch?

Published | Updated

After images surfaced last week of Nicole Kidman with what seemed like a baby bump, rumors have been swirling about the Aussie and fiancé Keith Urban.

The two hopped on a private jet this weekend, prompting many to believe they would wed in Australia in a secret ceremony. In truth Kidman visited China as an ambassador for UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Woman, to raise money and awareness for the organization.

The former Mrs. Cruise did hint at her impending nuptials at the event, saying "I am taking a holiday. I have moved to Tennessee for my personal life, so I am sort of establishing my new home which is nice...Now I get all shy."

Also, after Kidman returned to their homeland today, the couple issued this joint statement, "We are very happy to be back in Australia...we have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends."

Safe to say we can expect their walk down the aisle any day now and as far as a baby bump is concerned, it's still not quite clear. Take a look at the video and decide for yourself!

NBC Is Not Tabloid, And I'm 6'4"

Published

Matt Lauer interviewed Britney as if the two were kindred spirits when it came to "The Tabloids." Matt, please to explain exactly how your interview was different from what people read at the checkout?

This just in -- NBC is swimming in the same pool as everyone else who publicizes the woes of Britney. Don't get me wrong, I think Matt's interview was spectacular. But really, Matt, on the one hand you scoff at the "tabloids" and then ask, "What is it about Kevin that makes you love him?"

"Dateline" was great tabloid TV last night. It was. And here's the deal about Brit breaking down. It's the oldest trick in the book in TV, and I've been there over and over. I know exactly how to make someone cry on camera and, clearly, so does Matt. You find the emotional issue and wait until the subject is vulnerable. Then, you pause long enough to make the subject uncomfortable. Then you lower and soften your voice, and with a concerned look you gently ask something like this: "Are there times at night when you're alone and you just break down?" Then you just shut up and look as the subject dissolves into tears. Trust me, when Britney sobbed Matt was silently thinking "Prrrromo!"

Bottom line: I loved the interview -- a huge get that was executed brilliantly. But folks, let's call it what it is.

And by the way, for all of those who said Britney looked like hell, you need to look further. The gum, the makeup, the drawl -- all orchestrated to make Britney human, vulnerable and relatable. And I think she pulled that off as well.

So, in the end, good for Matt that he scored big, bad for Matt that he's pretending not to be part of "it."

When Paris' Publicist Awakens -- Uh Oh!

Paris Hilton's poor publicist, Eliot Mintz, is sleeping. The guy has to be in his late 50's yet he's out till four in the morning almost everyday "managing" Paris. Well, when Elliot wakes up, he'll have a problem on his hands -- me.

A TMZ staffer was at a New York club last night with Paris and saw something with his own eyes. I'm waiting for Elliot to return my call -- when he does, I'll give you the lowdown.

I feel bad for Elliot -- he's a really good guy. Unlike some publicists, and you know who you are, Elliot never screams or threatens.

So as the clock ticks -- tick tick tick -- it makes me kinda sad that I will become a source of what his become his daily grief -- aka Paris. Stay tuned.

UK Press Gets Personal with Vaughniston

Published

Jen and Vince faced some tough questions at the London premiere of their new film "The Break-Up," but still managed to stay tight lipped about their rumored relationship.

Aniston remained cool, although somewhat taken aback, as one reporter asked her how hard it was making the film after her own break-up with ex-hubby Brad Pitt, replying 'Not hard at all, we were way past that at that point."

Vince had his own share of personal q's thrown his way as well with another curious reporter asking him at what point did he fall for Aniston during the filming. Vaughn, of course, played dodgeball with her saying, "we just had a good time shooting the movie and had a lot of fun."

Like all previous premieres, the two arrived separately and remained like that all the way down the red carpet, ironically mimicking Brangelina's press appearances for "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."
