"It's our friendship (me and John) and this is how we are handling a very tough time. I'm a comedian and humor is what drives me. John knows how to cheer me up and I laughed out loud when he arrived wearing a bald cap - being a true and loving friend and brother."

John Stamos is showing solidarity with his friend and former TV castmate Dave Coulier during his battle with an aggressive cancer, but some people online are taking issue with his method ... calling him insufficiently committed to the cause.

Stamos posted a few pics on Instagram of fellow "Full House" actor Coulier, featuring Stamos wearing a bald cap and shaving Coulier's head, who's going through chemotherapy treatment after his recent cancer diagnosis.

Coulier is battling stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer. The pic shows Stamos shaving Coulier's head, and the friends are both smiling ... as Stamos acknowledges he used a little Photoshop magic to make the bald wig blend. A third shot shows Dave's wife, Melissa, and John both kissing Dave's freshly shaved dome.

An NHL referee was stretchered off the ice and taken to the hospital on Monday night ... but, thankfully, it appears he's going to be OK.

A spokesperson for the Medford Police Department in Oregon tells us ... cops "are aware" of the vids Singler's been putting up on his Instagram page this past week -- though the rep did not release any further information.

"We are not going to make any comment on any mental health matter with our citizens," the spokesperson said.

It's been just over a month since Aidan Hutchinson suffered a gruesome leg injury that ended his 2024 season ... but his mom provided an update that'll be music to Lions fans' ears -- saying his recovery is "going amazing" as he improves by the day.

The star's wife, Misty, shared an update on her husband's condition Saturday morning ... confirming the singer was in stable condition -- and, doctors released him late Friday night.

She says he's back home now ... though the ride from the hospital to their ranch wasn't comfortable -- 'cause his meds were wearing off and he was bleeding heavily through his wrappings.
