As they set to get ready to film again in New Jersey this summer, TMZ has learned the network has requested additional police presence for the cast. According to the Seaside Heights PD, MTV has requested between eight and ten off-duty officers -- the network would pick up the tab.

For those of you who think a grenade is either a weapon or small country in the Caribbean, it's actually an ugly chick who tags along with her hot friend. In Season 1, The Situation typically scored the hot chick, while Pauly D had to fall on the grenade.

We're told only hot chicks get to go back to the house in Miami -- such an honor.

Despite becoming famous, these "guidos" still have their priorities in order.

TMZ was there as The Situation, Pauly D, Snooki, Jwoww, super buff Ronnie and Sammi showed up to their new digs yesterday and the self-proclaimed "Kim Kardashian of Staten Island" arrived too ... with real luggage -- no trash bags this time.

TMZ has learned Stephen Izzo -- the guy Ronnie knocked out during an episode of "Jersey Shore" -- was arrested this morning on charges of aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Izzo was arrested by the Berkeley Township PD in New Jersey and is currently at the Ocean County Jail in Tom's River.

The aggravated assault on a police officer charge is a felony.

He is being held on $75,000 bail.

Somebody pass the 29-year-old some baby oil.

According to our sources, MTV just picked up Pauly D in Rhode Island and then grabbed The Situation in New York City before heading south. We're also told Snooki and Jwoww are in another ride -- and are also en route.

We're also told MTV is keeping the stars on total lockdown -- our source says the network has banned the use of cell phones during the trip.

Vinny was leaving Menlo Park Mall in New Jersey today when he said he was preparing something for his female fans to "dance to" ... and said his music is "a little pop, a little hip-hop but nothing corny or silly."

We'll see about that.

We're told the "Jersey Shore" star "bounced" the pitch -- but at least he owned up to it on his Twitter page saying, "Awesome experience meeting all the mets n David WRight - My throw game will admit was a lil off lol."

A TMZ spy on the production crew for "Jersey Shore" tells us the cast was given its marching orders for season two last night -- they're headed for Miami.

And we have another source. At least one cast member told a TMZer he/she got the word over the weekend ... and the word is Miami.

Good luck, Miami. You're gonna need it.

Sources say MTV camera crews will start paying visits to the homes of Snooki, The Situation, DJ Pauly D, Ronnie, Vinny, Jwoww, and Sammie this coming weekend to tape them as they attempt to cram their giant egos into carry-on luggage.

We're told the cast is supposed to fly out to Season 2's mystery location some time next week.

No word yet on whether Angelina made the cut ... if anyone actually cares.

You need to be in tip-top shape to put on excess amounts of hair gel and fist pump the night away -- so that's why the cast of "Jersey Shore" is going to get their physicals.

Sources tell TMZ that Snooki, Pauly D, The Situation and company will be submitting to full medical check-ups beginning Monday morning -- including breathing tests and a work-up of their family history.

And get this: We're told Angelina knew nothing about any of this. So either MTV doesn't care if she kicks the bucket this season ... or they have no interest in bringing her back.

Season two of the popular MTV reality will film in Florida, according to the Miami Herald. The production company behind the show has been scouting locations in Miami since last month, as TMZ first reported.

A source close to the show tells TMZ they will begin filming before the month is out.
