Journey's Neal Schon & Wife Suing Live Nation ... Your Security Assaulted My Wife!!!

Journey's guitarist, Neal Schon, can't believe a security guard hired by Live Nation manhandled his wife at one of his concerts ... so he claims in a new lawsuit.

Schon and his wife, Michaele, are suing Live Nation claiming she was assaulted while taking pictures at his concert in Fort Wayne, Indiana back in March 2017. In docs, obtained by TMZ, the Schons claim she was taking pictures in front of the stage when, out of nowhere, a security guard who was hired by Live Nation violently assaulted her and threw her into the PA system.

It's unclear what triggered the attack, but according to docs ... Michaele says she suffered emotional distress and humiliation from the assault. Neal's suing, claiming he's suffered emotional distress because he's now worried about his wife's safety while he's performing.

They're suing for unspecified damages. We've reached out Live Nation, so far, no word back.

Steve Perry Reunites with Journey At Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Steve Perry was super gracious as he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with his former band, Journey.

Steve sang the band's praises in a speech that was devoid of bitterness. It was all love at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Friday night, as the former front man called out guitarist and songwriter Neal Schon for bringing him on board back in the day. Interesting .. Steve also had high praise for his replacement, Arnel Pineda.

Perry left the group for good in '98 and the bitterness became part of the fabric of Rock and Roll history.

Steve Perry To Reunite With Journey At Rock And Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Steve Perry hasn't performed with Journey since 1991 but he'll be greeted with open arms Friday night as the band is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Members of Journey have confirmed Perry will indeed be onstage at the induction ceremony in Brooklyn, but were mum on whether he'd sing with the group.

Perry ditched the band in 1987 on the coattails of a double platinum album ... they were arguably at their peak. He reunited shortly with the band in 1991 for the all-star tribute to legendary music promoter Bill Graham and performed just a few songs.

Since then, Perry's had his own solo career while remaining living members have continued to tour under the name Journey.

Members of Journey have said they're open to Perry performing a song or 2 with the band, but seems it's in Perry's corner.

Journey Lead Singer Startling Reveal About Steve Perry

I'M STILL BELIEVING
TMZ.com

Arnel Pineda's been Journey's frontman for 9 years but you'll NEVER guess what he hasn't done yet. Hint: It involves the band's former lead singer.

We caught up with Arnel at LAX where he shocked us with this news ... and when you see it, you'll understand why he's rooting hard for Journey to get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year. They're on the short list of nominees.

Best part of this clip though -- "Don't Stop Believin'" ... live on an airport sidewalk!

Journey Drummer Booted Off Tour Following Arrest

Journey's got a new beat for the rest of its tour -- the band kicked drummer Dean Castronovo to the curb after his arrest over the weekend ... but the guy filling in has a serious resume.

TMZ broke the story ... Castronovo was busted last weekend for an alleged domestic violence incident at his home in Oregon. It was his 2nd such arrest, and Journey -- currently in the middle of a tour -- decided to pull the rip chord.

The band announced veteran skins man Omar Hakim would take Castronovo's place immediately, starting with their Hollywood Bowl show on Saturday. It's unclear if Castronovo is out of the band permanently.

Hakim's drummed with Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Dire Straits and Sting -- but he better start practicing ... "Don't Stop Believing."

Journey Drummer Arrested for Assault 2nd Domestic Incident

Deen Castronovo -- the current drumer for Journey -- was arrested for assault after an early morning domestic dispute ... TMZ has learned.

Salem Oregon PD tells us they got called to a home ... which they believe was Castronovo's ... around 9 AM Sunday. Police entered the home and arrested him without incident. It's still unclear who else was involved in the incident.

Castronovo was booked for assault, coercion, and menacing. He's been released on bail.

Castronovo was also arrested in Oregon in 2012 for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Journey is currently on tour and their next date is Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl. As for whether Castronovo will be playing drums -- no comment from the band's rep.

Journey Concert SURPRISE!!!! Zero Underage Boozing Arrests

The word "duh" has never been more appropriate ... because cops in Chula Vista say they didn't arrest one single underage drinker Thursday night at the Journey concert.

It's unclear if the statistic was a result of the CRACKDOWN cops called for to prevent kids from boozing at the show ... or, more likely, there just aren't underage people hitting up Journey concerts to get wasted these days!!

Officials did say there WAS a large number of people under 21 at the Sleep Train Ampitheatre last night ... so, whatever the case ... SUCCESS!!

Journey BAND IS MAGNET FOR UNDERAGE DRINKERS ... Say Cops Stuck In 1983

SORRY UNDERAGE KIDS, your days of getting hammered at Journey concerts are OVER!!!!!!

At least in Chula Vista, CA ... where cops say the local PD is DOUBLING its patrol out of fear underage drinking will run rampant when the band takes the stage.

For the record, no ... it's not still 1983.

But seriously, the Chula Vista PD just issued the following release to the media:

"CVPD will be enforcing ZERO TOLERANCE for underage drinking and public intoxication at the Journey concert tonight at Sleep Train Amphitheatre. We will be doubling our enforcement efforts to combat underage drinking and public intoxication both during the concert and the pre-concert tailgating activities.

Underage drinkers will be cited and removed from the venue without a refund for their ticket. Officers will also be on the look out for excessive drinking that is disruptive and/or a safety concern. Intoxicated patrons will be denied access to the event and NO refunds will be given."

All this ... and Steve Perry isn't even with the band anymore ... BUT COULD YOU IMAGINE IF HE WAS!?!?!?!!?!
