Lil Scrappy LOCKED UP After Refusing Urine Test
Lil Scrappy is a lil' jailbird -- the rapper-slash-reality star turned himself in to an ATL jail this morning after cops say he refused to submit to a court-ordered urine test ... TMZ has learned.
We broke the story ... officials say Scrappy violated his probation back in March after a dispute over a pee test. According to court officials, Scrappy tried to turn in a urine sample that was cold to the touch and may have been tampered with ... and when asked to submit another cup, he refused.
The court eventually issued a warrant for his arrest ... and moments ago, the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star turned himself in.
On his way into the pokey, Scrap was photographed saying farewell to his fiancee Erica Dixon (seen above, holding hands) and his mother, Momma Dee ... who was already sporting a "Free Scrappy" shirt.
Naturally, the VH1 cameras captured the dramatic moment on tape.

Lil Scrappy Wanted By Cops War Over Urine Sample
Lil Scrappy has pissed off the police ... because he allegedly refused to piss for police ... and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest, TMZ has learned.
The urine controversy bubbled to the surface back in March ... when the "Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta" star was required to submit to a pee test in Georgia as part of his probation, stemming from a 2008 pot arrest.
Problem is ... officials say Scrappy tried to turn in a urine sample that was cold to the touch ... and cops believe it may have been tampered with. They refused to accept the sample ... and told Scrappy to provide a fresh cup of yellow gold.
But Scrappy refused the pee demand, denied the allegations of tampering and left the premises ... so officials issued a warrant for his arrest, claiming he once again violated his probation by not cooperating.
We spoke to Scrappy's lawyer, Mawuli Mel Davis, who tells us Scrappy plans to appear in court on May 16 to address the issue -- and says, "It is our hope that the Judge will recall the revocation warrant that is currently pending against Mr. Richardson."
He adds, "Since Mr. Richardson’s release from jail, he has been reporting to probation as ordered and doing his best to comply with all conditions of probation."
Meanwhile, sources tell us ... Scrappy plans to turn himself in to police next week -- and we're told VH1 cameras will be rolling to capture the moment ... of course.

Lil Scrappy My Arrest Was a BIG MISTAKE
Lil Scrappy is STILL behind bars following his arrest in ATL yesterday ... and it's all because he failed to check in with his probation officer ... TMZ has learned.
We broke the story, Scrappy was locked up in Georgia yesterday for violating his probation stemming from a 2008 marijuana possession case.
But nearly 2 weeks before he was arrested, Scrappy filed documents with the DeKalb County Superior Court, begging the judge to recall the warrant for his arrest.
In the docs, Scrappy admits he failed to check in with his probation officer on August 9, 2012 ... but says it was an honest mistake because he had been on non-reporting status for 1.5 years and didn't know a check-in date had been scheduled.
Scrappy insists he has otherwise been a model probationer and wants his arrest warrant recalled ASAP.
The judge hadn't ruled on Scrappy's request by the time the rapper had a run-in with police yesterday, which is why he was arrested and taken to jail.
Scrappy is expected to go in front of a judge sometime in the near future ... but for now, he remains behind bars.
