A 31-year-old male was taken from Broadway's Foxwoods Theater to Bellevue Hospital on Monday night after the "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" performer accidentally fell into the pit in front of a preview audience.

Another performer in the musical identified the injured man as Christopher Tierney, the show's main aerialist who does stunts for the role of Spider-Man.

The accident happened with only seven minutes left in the show. An audience member with a cell phone shot the mishap as it happened -- the video shows Spidey's cable snapping before plummeting into the pit.

A rep for the show tells MyFoxNY: "An actor sustained an injury at tonight's performance of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. He fell several feet from a platform approximately seven minutes before the end of the performance, and the show was stopped. All signs were good as he was taken to the hospital for observation. We will have more news shortly."

The actor reportedly gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was being loaded into the ambulance.

We're told Landesberg died of cancer early this morning. He had been battling the disease for a while.

Landesberg played Dr. Rosenbaum -- the pediatrician -- in "Sarah Marshall." But he was more famous for his role as Det. Sgt. Arthur Dietrich on the TV show "Barney Miller," which ran from 1975 - 82.

Our sources on the set of "So Undercover" say Miley's been taking her leading role extremely seriously -- working overtime with the director "to see where she needs to improve" -- and requesting additional takes until the scenes are perfect.

We're also told Miley is leaning on her mom, Tish Cyrus, who's on set everyday ... and is a producer on the film.

Blake Edwards -- who was married to legendary actress Julie Andrews -- is famous for directing movies like "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Victor/Victoria" and the classic "Pink Panther" film series.

In 2004, Blake received an honorary Oscar for his extraordinary body of work.

Miley arrived in New Orleans last week to shoot "So Undercover" -- and sources close to the production say hours after TMZ published the video of Miley taking bong hits ... she showed up for rehearsals.

We're told Miley and her co-star -- Kelly Osbourne -- ran through script lines, as scheduled, on Friday. According to our sources ... Miley knew the bong video was out, but "she kept her focus on the movie."

TMZ obtained a lawsuit filed by Objective Films, LLC -- in which they claim they agreed to sell the French and Canadian distribution rights to a company headed by a guy named Pierre Turgeon for $100k back in 2009.

Objective says they got the first $50k -- but Turgeon flaked on the back half ... and then tried to back out of the deal altogether. Objective was able to get the flick distributed in France ... Canada wasn't so lucky.

Nielsen finished his voice work over a year ago, according to the director of the movie, Bryan Waterman. He tells TMZ that a "great deal" of production still has to be done before the movie can be released -- and by a "great deal" he means the majority of the animation.

Waterman tells us the project has been taking donations in return for a "special thanks" at the end of the movie -- but right now they're still searching for investors.

Waterman plans on adding a dedication to Nielsen, assuming the movie ever gets finished.

Celeb photographer Tyler Shields shot Lindsay back in July as part of a promotional shoot for the movie. A few pics got released ... but here are a few more we just got our hands on.

Malin Akerman -- best known for her roles in "Watchmen" and "The Heartbreak Kid" -- will play the lead role in "Inferno" now that LiLo is no longer attached, this according to Deadline Hollywood.

As for the circumstances of Lindsay's departure ... sources close to Lindsay told us she quit, her rep called the decision "mutual," and other reports claim she was fired. You be the judge.
