7/22/2026 11:48 AM PT -- Kaylee Hottle died from blunt force trauma ... TMZ has confirmed.

11:12 AM PT -- TMZ has obtained dispatch audio of the car crash.

9:22 AM PT -- Authorities say Kaylee Hottle was riding in a 1995 Honda Accord when the driver veered off a Maryland road and slammed into a roadside ditch early Tuesday.

Kaylee Hottle -- a deaf actress best known for playing Jia in two 'Godzilla' films -- is dead.

Her father, Joshua Hottle, tells TMZ ... his daughter was killed in a car accident early Tuesday morning in Maryland.

Joshua also shared the tragic news in a nearly 23-minute-long social live stream ... explaining in ASL that he had to fly from Texas to claim her body.

Joshua says he learned Kaylee was involved in a serious car accident ... and officials called him shortly after this initial shock to inform him her heart stopped on the way to the hospital.

Brenda Fricker, the Oscar-winning actress who is best known to so many fans as the Pigeon Lady in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York," has died ... TMZ has confirmed.

Her agent, Phil Belfield, tells TMZ ... Fricker passed away peacefully Thursday night in Dublin, after a period of ill health.

He says ... "We will never see her like again and the world is lesser for the lack of her. I was honored to know, love and work with her and she will always have a place in my heart and in the heart of so many film and TV fans the world over."

Both actresses were set to appear at the horror event Creep I.E. Aftermath in Ontario, California, between Saturday and Sunday, but their appearances were canceled Friday just hours apart, with the event organizer blaming an unknown "emergency" for each star.

TMZ has reached out to their respective reps ... so far, no word back.

'Citizen Vigilante' Director Hammers BS Report About Armie Hating Flick

The director of Armie Hammer's upcoming film "Citizen Vigilante" is calling BS on a report claiming the actor hated the final product ... telling us it all stems from criticism about his polarizing movie.

Uwe Boll tells TMZ ... Armie attended the distributor's screening of the film at the American Film Market, participated in multiple interviews promoting the film ... and even led the Q&A at the film's first public screening in Los Angeles.

Doesn't sound like someone who hated the film.

The German director says a recent report from Puck -- citing sources claiming Armie was appalled by the final cut and even "cried" because the final product was "hateful" and "disgusting" -- is false.

Wes Anderson and Luke Wilson had a less-than-picture-perfect Monday night ... the talented duo got stuck in an elevator at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures ... and they needed fire fighters to free them!!!

Check out the video shared by a production specialist, Carolyn Dunn -- you can see Wes, Luke, director James L. Brooks, and at least 3 others being freed from the elevator, surrounded by members of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Armie Hammer is itching for his Hollywood comeback after sexual assault allegations derailed his career ... but he's allegedly appalled by his new film garnering quite some buzz -- for all the wrong reasons.

Armie stars in "Citizen Vigilante," which dropped last month and was helmed by German director Uwe Boll, who doesn't have a reputation for being a particularly acclaimed filmmaker. The controversial film was even banned from Germany for its strong anti-immigration and anti-Muslim messaging. However, it landed at the top of Apple and Amazon after Elon Musk shared the entire film on X.

According to an insider in Armie's camp, he cried when he watched the final cut for the first time, blasting it as "hateful" and "disgusting" ... per Puck's Kim Masters, who sat down with Armie in 2024 as he toyed with the idea of doing an on-the-record interview with the outlet.
