Fourth of July sparked a bit early at a California warehouse Tuesday night .... when the building -- storing fireworks -- caught fire and exploded ... igniting a blaze that burned through the night.

Check out the wild footage -- the eruption sends a fierce plume of smoke into the air ... with rogue fireworks shooting off into the sky amid a field of flying debris.

The explosion happened in Yolo County, northwest of Sacramento ... and according to Esparto Fire Protection District, the blaze is still burning and evacuations are in place as of Wednesday morning.

The father who jumped off a Disney cruise ship to save his daughter after she fell into the ocean isn't the only hero in this tale ... police say the ship's crew deserves a big shout-out, too!!!

A rep for the Broward County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ ... the Disney crew was crucially instrumental in rescuing the dad and his daughter because, simply put, they were well-trained and well-prepared.

The Broward County spokesperson tells us officials have launched an investigation into Sunday's incident in which the father leaped off the Disney Dream ship to save his 5-year-old daughter, who fell overboard.

The family of Wess Roley --  the man accused of sparking the horrifying Idaho tragedy that left two firefighters dead and another clinging to life -- is speaking out.

In a statement issued by the family's attorney, Justin Whittenton, the family says they are offering their "most heartfelt condolences" to those who lost loved ones and to the greater community of Coeur d’Alene.

They add ... "There are no words that can suffice for this tragedy and the infinite losses suffered by those affected by this shooting. ... Our hearts and spirits are broken for the lost and hurting, and for our own loss as well."

The friendly skies have been downright terrifying lately -- and the latest scare saw passengers on a Japan Airlines flight writing goodbye notes as a sudden mechanical issue sent the plane into a steep, panic-inducing descent.

Catch this nerve-wracking clip -- a Japan Airlines flight from Shanghai to Tokyo had passengers grabbing deployed oxygen masks as the Boeing 737 took a terrifying dive, plummeting from around 36,000 feet to just under 10,500 in less than 10 minutes, per People.

There were 191 passengers and crew onboard -- and one rattled flyer said even the flight attendant was in tears as she screamed for everyone to put on their oxygen masks, shouting that the plane had a malfunction.

The suspected sniper who police say fatally shot two firefighters after intentionally setting a blaze was found dead in a mountainous region of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris announced at a press conference Sunday night the alleged shooter got into a gun battle with officers in Canfield Mountain after police traced his cell phone signal during a manhunt involving roughly 300 officers.

Norris said the exchange of gunfire ended with the suspect's death.

A busy street in Fresno, California, turned into a shooting gallery after police opened fire at a suspect who had allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend and chased her in his car.

The Fresno PD released on Friday bodycam footage and surveillance video that captured the entire May 7 incident, which ended with Martin Campos in handcuffs without so much as a scratch following the hail of police gunfire.

According to cops ... Campos kicked things off that day with a broad daylight attack on his ex as she was in her car with her daughter in a shopping center parking lot.

Iran fired a retaliatory strike against a United States military base in Qatar on Monday after an American-led military assault on Iran's nuclear facilities over the weekend.

Qatar officials blasted the Iranians for launching the attack, but said their air defense systems intercepted the rockets. There were no reported U.S. casualties, according to the Pentagon.

Yet, Iranian State TV hailed the attack as a victory, saying "a mighty and successful response by the armed forces of Iran to America’s aggression."

Donald Trump promised the world Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities were "completely and totally obliterated," ... and now, pictures have come out showing one facility before and after the strike.

Satellite images of Fordow -- a uranium enrichment plant about 20 miles from Qom, a city of about 1.2 million -- from days prior to the attack and shortly after the bombing are coming out ... and, it highlights the destruction of tunnels and buildings above ground.

Tragedy struck California's Lake Tahoe over the weekend when a boat capsized, leaving six people dead and two others missing.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard, the 27-foot vessel reportedly overturned due to a large swell around 3 PM. Authorities say the gold Chris-Craft vessel capsized due to a large swell.

Of the ten people onboard, six adults were pronounced dead at the scene. Two survivors were rescued and rushed to a hospital.

Iran is vowing a forceful response after the United States airstrikes targeted three of its nuclear sites over the weekend -- an operation ordered by President Donald Trump that has triggered swift backlash from Tehran.

Late Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a stark warning, condemning the strikes as a flagrant breach of international norms and threatening the repercussions would be long-lasting.
