Lance Burton is pulling the plug on several upcoming magic shows after breaking his right foot during a recent performance in Vegas -- but the more important question ... WTF is going on in that town?

The world famous magician -- who's also one of the highest paid performers in Sin City -- hurt himself so badly, he'll need surgery to recover. His rep says he'll be out of commission 'til June.

Obviously, Burton's busted footsie doesn't compare to the Danny Gans tragedy ... but if you're Carrot Top, might be a good time to get outta town.

Lawanda Jackson pled guilty in December to violating the federal medical privacy law. She was scheduled to be sentenced on Monday, but her lawyer notified the judge that his client died from breast cancer on March 24.

Jackson had worked for the hospital for 32 years before her arrest.

So fire trucks and ambulances rushed to Cher's house less than an hour ago. Turns out the company that was servicing her alarm system was working on the system, and activated the panic button, thinking the system was on test.

It wasn't on test, and emergency vehicles rushed there. A law enforcement person told us... in Malibu, this happens a lot.

The L.A. County Fire Department tells us a medical emergency button on the house alarm was pushed at 11:16 AM.

It is unclear what the nature of the emergency is ... or who the patient is.

The lead singer of Nickelback is accused of beating the crap out of a furniture sales representative -- but the alleged victim claims it's Chad Kroeger's lack of remorse that hurts the most.

In the lawsuit, filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Noah Morse claims Kroeger "punched [him] forcefully in the mouth" while outside of a Vancouver bar back in 2007.

Morse says the devastating hit to the kisser made him lose consciousness, suffer a concussion and caused extensive damage to his grill -- including "one deadened front tooth... dislodged upper front teeth and permanent discoloration of more front teeth."

Bob's kid was playin' in a celebrity soccer match in L.A. Saturday, when he busted his knee so badly, he needed assistance to get off the field.

TMZ spoke with Marley's rep who told us, "He's walking around on crutches and has bandages on his knee."

The wild set footage from NYPost.com shows a Ferrari weaving through traffic -- but the car skids on the wet pavement, careens into the sidewalk and hits someone walking by. The crash also takes down a lamp post -- which falls on another victim.

According to the Post, both people were taken to the hospital and their injuries do not appear life threatening.

The epic fall we posted earlier of "Big Brother Brasil" contestant Josie during a fashion show in her home country wasn't her only one that night -- and trust us, it didn't go that much better the second time.

Of course, she probably would have been paying more attention to the street if she wasn't busy talking to the camera.

Bolt -- who lost control of his BMW yesterday after cops say he was speeding on a wet highway in Jamaica -- has been forced to drop out of a race this weekend due to his minor foot injuries.

The weird part: He injured his feet after the wreck -- when he stepped on thorns while getting out of his smashed ride.

The Jamaican sprinter who set the 100m world record at the Beijing Olympics suffered mild injuries today after crashing his BMW on a highway in his homeland.

Usain Bolt -- who ran the 100m dash in a mind-blowing 9.69 seconds last year -- and a female passenger were taken to a hospital in the Saint Catherine Parish after Bolt lost control of his car while (get this) he was allegedly speeding on a rain-slicked highway.

Liev was noticeably absent from Tuesday's "Wolverine" premiere in L.A. -- and we now know he ditched the event to fly to New York to take care of his ailing son, People is reporting.
