Jim Carrey was a pallbearer at the funeral of his former girlfriend, and the grief is palpable.

Carrey joined the relatives and friends of Cathriona White as they said goodbye during an emotional service in Ireland.

As the coffin was lowered into the ground, Carrey embraced members of White's family. Jim also posted a message on his Twitter page about Cathriona.

White committed suicide last week, leaving a note for Jim. We're told there were multiple factors that triggered the suicide, including their recent breakup, the anniversary of her father's death and a brutal message from her mother.

Several witnesses risked their own lives trying to rescue MTV star Erik Roner after he crashed into a tree during a skydiving accident last week ... attempting to scale a 30 foot tree in an effort to treat the injured man ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Another member of Three 6 Mafia has passed away -- Koopsta Knicca died on Thursday after suffering a stroke ... according to DJ Paul.

Paul announced Koopsta's death on social media Thursday evening, but then did a quick about-face ... saying Koopsta was still fighting, and on life support. He eventually died overnight, and Paul released a statement saying, "Everyone who knew Koop knew hew was very funny and the coolest guy ever! He will be missed!!!"

KK had been hospitalized since last weekend when he suffered the stroke. He was 40, the same age as Lord Infamous ... the other Three 6 Mafia member who passed away in 2013.

Koopsta was an original member of the Memphis rap group, but was not with them when they won the Oscar in 2006. He rejoined when they became Da Mafia 6ix, years later.

He had recently started working on a solo record, according to DJ Paul.

Jim Carrey will be making an appearance at the funeral of his late ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, who committed suicide days after he called things off with her.

TMZ has confirmed Carrey is headed to Ireland, where White will be laid to rest next to her father on Saturday, Oct. 10, in her hometown, Cappawhite.

White died after ingesting several pills prescribed to Carrey's alias. News surfaced after her death she had been married to another man before but never divorced while dating Carrey.

Carrey had flown White's family out to collect her body in L.A. and offered to pay for funeral services.

Paul Prudhomme, the famous New Orleans chef who made redfish so popular it almost became extinct, has died.

Prudhomme's Big Easy restaurant, K-Paul's, has become a national landmark. He rolled out blackened redfish which became an obsession around the country, and introduced turducken to the world.

He authored 9 cookbooks and his own cooking show on PBS. He also created a line of kosher seasoned spices.

Paul died after a brief illness. He was 75.

Gail Zappa, the widow of music legend Frank Zappa has died. She was 70 years old.

The Zappa family tells TMZ ... Gail passed away Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles. We're told she had been battling an illness for several years.

Frank and Gail married in 1967 and had 4 kids together -- Diva, Dweezil, Ahmet, and Moon.

The family says Gail "conducted intricate legal negotiations with corporations as grand dame of the Zappa Family Trust, she never failed to impart the sense of humor that was part and parcel of her indomitable and formidable personality."

Frank was 52 when he passed away in '93 from prostate cancer.

The fact Caleb Logan Bratayley was a YouTube superstar, meant the 13-year-old boy's funeral NEEDED to be livestreamed on the web ... according to fellow social media giant Cameron Dallas.

Cameron was leaving BOA Tuesday and we talked to him about Caleb's tragic death from an unknown medical condition.

Earlier in the day, the Bratayley family laid Caleb to rest and Periscoped the entire funeral -- which might seem like a serious case of oversharing, but as Cameron explained the family's millions upon millions of fans were "a part of him."

Jim Carrey's on-and-off again girlfriend Cathriona White tried ending her life in 2012 and we're told a hateful message from her biological mother may have led to her suicide ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Our sources tell us, during their investigation they learned White attempted suicide after her father's death in 2012.

We're told White's friends told investigators on Cathriona's birthday -- just days before her suicide -- she received a hateful message from her estranged biological mother who called her a "failure."

Cathriona committed suicide on the 3rd anniversary of her father's death.

Our sources say her mother's attack, along with the somber anniversary and her breather with Jim, may have contributed to Cathriona's suicide. It appears she OD'd on drugs.

Nick Gordon says Bobbi Kristina's family is painting him as a murderer and scumbag to the point he will never get a fair trial if he's criminally prosecuted.

Gordon says in legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- the Brown family has painted him a "murderer, a habitual batterer of women, a seducer of young white females, a thief and/or con man fueled by monetary gain, and a chemist capable of making a toxic cocktail."

Gordon is asking the judge to stop the $40 million wrongful death lawsuit the Browns filed against him until the criminal process runs its course.

The big thing for Gordon ... he says he has a right to remain silent, and the civil case would force him to answer questions that could be used against him if criminal charges are filed.

The family of 13-year-old YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley says the boy died from an undetected medical condition.

No other details were given, except to say the family will have more definitive answers soon. It's unclear how much the family has been told, but it appears they know generally what triggered Caleb's death.

Caleb's memorial will be livestreamed on Periscope and Facebook.

Caleb passed away suddenly Thursday night in Maryland.

The 'Jerry Springer' producer whose sister died in their garage is now in the hot seat with the LAPD, because TMZ has learned cops believe her story about the death doesn't make sense.

Jill Blackstone's sister Wendy died in March from a combination of carbon monoxide poisoning and Xanax. At the time it appeared Wendy, who was blind and partially deaf, committed suicide ... even leaving a note.

Jill had said she had no idea Wendy wanted to kill herself. As for how a Weber grill and charcoal got into the garage, Jill told police the Weber grill was for warmth and the coals in the trash can were for roasting marshmallows.

But we've learned cops now paint a very different picture of what they say happened. Our law enforcement sources tell us when they first interviewed Jill she told cops she had no idea her sister wanted to kill herself. But cops say it's very clear Jill -- not Wendy -- wrote the "suicide" note.

Our sources say cops are "confident" Jill assisted her sister -- not out of vengeance but mercy for her condition. Even if Jill's motive was mercy-based, it would still be a crime, and we're told the case is now "on the front burner" for possible criminal prosecution.

Caleb Logan Bratayley seemed like a perfectly healthy 13-year-old one hour -- and the next ... the YouTube star was dead, and the only explanation so far is he suffered a "medical emergency."

Caleb -- whose family has racked up more than a billion YouTube views -- died Thursday night in Maryland. Law enforcement sources tell us a 911 call was placed at 7 PM, and police and fire responded to the family's home.

We're told Caleb was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It is a puzzling death because he's only 13. When the family announced the tragedy they only said he "passed away of natural causes." Our sources say it was not suicide, there were no drugs, and there is no history of drug use. The 911 call was for a "medical emergency."

The coroner will conduct an autopsy as part of its investigation.

Jim Carrey didn't want to completely sever his relationship with Cathriona White, but never got to explain himself to her before she committed suicide ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ Carrey only intended to take a short break from White. On September 19th, they had dinner at Nobu in Malibu for her birthday, and appeared very happy.

However, Cathriona says Jim dumped her on September 24th. We're told she wrote about the break up in her suicide letter. Sources tell us friends tried to console White ...telling her Jim still cared for her, but she was too distraught.

As we previously reported ... Cathriona committed suicide using multiple medications prescribed to a Carrey alias.

Jim Carrey is doing everything he can financially to help out the family of his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White after the 28-year-old committed suicide Monday.

We're told Jim paid for White's entire family to fly from Ireland to Los Angeles and he's paying for their hotel stay as well. Our source says White's family still hasn't made final funeral arrangements but Jim has offered to cover all of those expenses.

A source close to Jim says he's devastated over Cathriona's death and wanted to make sure things were taken care of for her family.

Johnny Strange -- who became famous for climbing the world's 7 tallest summits by the age of 17 -- has died in a wingsuiting accident in Europe ... TMZ Sports has confirmed with a family member and multiple people close to him.

Multiple sources connected to Strange tell us Johnny was in Switzerland -- where something went wrong during his jump ... and Strange was killed as a result.

Strange called in to "Kevin & Bean" on KROQ on Monday from Switzerland and said he was shooting a dangerous wingsuit proximity video where "we fly super close to stuff."

After the K&B interview, Strange shot a video doing some wingsuiting, which he posted to social media.

Johnny made national headlines as a teen -- appearing on "Conan O'Brien", CNN and CBS News when he became the youngest person to ever climb the "7 summits."

Strange climbed his first "world class peak" when he was 12 -- conquering Mt. Vinson Massif in Antarctica. Since then, he traveled the world doing extreme sports ... including base jumping into the Grand Canyon.
