Gavin Newsom is following up with his threat to sue President Trump over the deployment of the National Guard to Los Angeles ... because the California Governor just filed a case against POTUS over it.

Newsom and the State of California are suing Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the U.S. Department of Defense over what Newsom says are "illegal actions" to deploy members of the California National Guard.

Trump sent the National Guard into L.A. Saturday after protests erupted over federal immigration raids ... a move Newsom says is unconstitutional.

After a weekend of violent and fiery protests in L.A. against ICE in the city and the county ... the U.S. Marines are being called in to bolster National Guard troops and local cops in confrontations with crowds.

An eye-popping 700 Marines are set to roll into L.A. over the next 24 hours -- with military officials saying they're being sent to keep the peace, as ICE raids targeting undocumented immigrants have provoked a heated -- and sometimes violent -- public response.

But, the tense protests are taking place in anything but a war zone, where the Marines are usually deployed ... the LAPD tells us there have been no reported deaths or homicides over the past 4 days of demonstrations in downtown L.A. and other areas.

Khaby Lame, a famous TikTok star, was detained by ICE for overstaying the terms of his visa, and was forced to leave the country ... TMZ has confirmed.

We're told the 25-year-old viral star was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on June 6 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

We're told Lame was granted voluntary departure the same day ... meaning he avoided deportation proceedings, but still had to pack his bags and bounce back home. Our DHS sources say he self-deported back to his home country of Italy.

California Governor Gavin Newsom unloaded on President Donald Trump Sunday amid violent protests in Los Angeles ... accusing the commander-in-chief of being a bald-faced liar and wanting to start a civil war over his immigration policies.

Newsom sat down for a face-to-face with Fox 11 L.A. host Elex Michaelson in the Los Angeles Emergency Operations Center that's overseeing the police response to chaotic demonstrations in the downtown area.

During the interview with Michaelson, Newsom went for Trump's jugular, calling him a "STONE COLD LIAR" and insisting he "wants a civil war in the streets of America."

ICE is getting torched by Hollywood -- celebs are loud, pissed, and not holding back as protests over immigration raids blow up across the country, particularly after this weekend's events in Los Angeles.

3:04 PM PT -- Trump doubled down Sunday -- declaring, "They spit, we hit," while urging officials to "liberate" Los Angeles from what he called a migrant invasion in response to the ongoing riots.

Trump went off on Governor Gavin Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass Sunday morning on Truth Social, accusing the pair of botching the response to Saturday’s protests, where demonstrators torched a car, hurled rocks, and tagged graffiti across city blocks.

Trump didn’t hold back -- dubbing the California governor as "Newscum" and calling Bass "incompetent," claiming they’ve "failed again" just like with the recent California wildfires.

Ted Cruz says he had a front-row seat to the explosive fallout between Donald Trump and Elon Musk -- revealing he was in the Oval Office with the President when it all went down.

The Senator revealed the news on his podcast saying ... "I was literally sitting there watching it happen. Trump was furious. Elon wasn’t holding back, and the tweets just kept coming."

According to Cruz, the now-public feud between Trump and Musk boiled over after Musk blasted Trump’s proposed reconciliation bill, branding it "disgusting" and urging lawmakers to reject it. Musk also claimed that without his support in 2024, Trump would have lost the election, and Republicans would have fumbled control of Congress.

11:55 AM PT -- Well this is escalating quickly ... amid the back-and-forth flame war on the two men's social media outlets, Donald Trump just went nuclear on his Truth Social platform ... appearing to threaten Musk's deals with the U.S. government.

Elon has multiple contracts with the government, and benefits from federal subsidies as well ... Musk companies Space X and Tesla both have gotten tax credits and other benefits over the years totaling billions of dollars.

In another Truth Social post, Trump said he was the one who asked Musk to leave his administration, saying he had been "wearing thin."

Elon Musk says he's the country's kingmaker ... 'cause he says Donald Trump wouldn't have won the election without him -- and the whole Republican Party would be in shambles, too!

The tech mogul fired off a series of tweets directed at POTUS ... including one where he said, without him, Trump would be sitting at home watching President Kamala Harris at the country's reins.

He adds, "Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate" ... so, Elon's pretty sure he's the only reason for the Republicans' recent decisive victory. He followed it up by accusing Republicans of being ungrateful to him.

A Texas man was arrested after breaching the wall at Donald Trump’s Florida resort, telling police he was there to marry the President's granddaughter.

According to an arrest report, 23-year-old Anthony Reyes was taken into custody shortly after midnight on Tuesday by Secret Service agents who claim he triggered perimeter alarms at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Reyes reportedly told police he had climbed the wall to "spread the gospel" to the President and "marry Kai," referring to Trump's 18-year-old granddaughter, Kai Trump -- who's the daughter of Donald Trump Jr.

Todd and Julie Chrisley are home from federal prison after getting pardons from President Trump, and their family and legal team talked about their release in a press conference ... where Todd fired a shot at CNN.

Todd and Savannah Chrisley, as well as attorneys Alex Little and Zack Lawson, held a press conference Friday in Nashville where they reacted to the full and unconditional pardons granted by Trump.

Savannah stepped up to the mic first ... calling Todd and Julie's pardons a "dream" and expressing gratitude for everyone in the Trump administration and beyond for getting her parents out of jail. She also railed against the "politicization" of the Department of Justice.

Alice Marie Johnson says Larry Hoover's federal prison sentence was commuted to give him the hope of receiving a real second chance ... but he still has years to serve in an Illinois prison for a state crime, and Alice hopes the Illinois governor might grant him clemency as well.

We spoke with President Donald Trump's "pardon czar" on "TMZ Live" Thursday ... and, we asked her about Trump's decision to commute Hoover's federal sentence.

She tells us she first learned about Larry's case from Kanye West and Drake's live-streamed event at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum back in 2021, where she was sitting first row at the event and learned of Larry's plight.

Julie Chrisley is officially out of federal prison ... released just moments ago ... TMZ has learned.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons tells us ... Julie walked out of Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky on Wednesday evening, not long after her husband, Todd was released from federal prison in Pensacola, Florida.

The Chrisleys -- who were convicted on bank fraud and tax evasion charges in 2022 -- were released hours after President Donald Trump signed off on their pardons.

Elon Musk says his time working with President Trump as a special government employee is coming to an end.

The world's richest man announced his impending departure from the Trump administration Wednesday with a post on his social media platform, X.

Savannah was beaming -- making it crystal clear she’s thrilled Trump stepped in, looked over the case, and pulled the strings to make it happen. She also gave thanks to Trump's "Pardon Czar" Alice Marie Johnson and Ed Martin, who briefly served as interim U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C.

Joe Exotic still has a path to freedom ... we've learned a potential pardon from President Trump is NOT off the table, despite the 'Tiger King' getting snubbed in the latest round of Trump clemency rulings.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... a pardon for Joe remains a possibility -- however, his case was NOT reviewed during a recent round of presidential pardons.

It's unclear why Joe wasn't made a priority this time around, but we're told it's very possible Exotic's case will be reviewed in the very near future.
