Casanova and other NYC rappers appear to have been effectively blackballed from performing in their own town by the NYPD, getting nixed from Rolling Loud after a mere request.

A letter that's purported to have been written by the City of New York and signed off by Asst. Police Chief Martin Morales surfaced over the weekend, and it appears to show the NYPD asking Rolling Loud organizers to block Casanova and co. from getting on stage.

The letter -- addressed to Rolling Loud and Insomniac, LLC -- reads ... "The New York City Police Department requests that the below individuals be removed from performing at the 'Rolling Loud Festival' taking place at Citi Field on Saturday October 12, 2019 and Sunday October 13, 2019, due to public safety concerns."

It goes on to list 22GZ, Casanova, Pop Smoke, Sheff G and Don Q as artists who shouldn't be allowed to perform -- with cops citing affiliation to recent acts of violence in the city.

They say it quite clearly ... "The New York City Police Department believes if these individuals are allowed to perform, there will be a higher risk of violence. I look forward to working with you in an effort to keep this event safe."

It would seem the letter -- and the not-so-subtle plea -- was taken to heart, because Casanova announced he was, in fact, not performing ... and wasn't happy about it.

On IG, the rapper -- who's had past beefs with Tekashi 6ix9ine -- wrote in part ... "My last felony conviction was 2007. I lost everything I ever loved and I’m STILL losing. So much so that 'they' won’t allow me to perform at Rolling Loud NYC on Sunday."

Casanova added, "It’s unfair and unfortunate that my past, which I’ve dealt with legally and personally, continues to stigmatize me and my career as a recording artist."

A Hard Rock Hotel that was under construction collapsed this weekend, leaving at least 1 dead and several others injured.

The implosion happened Saturday morning in New Orleans, when the upper deck of the hotel started to crumble in on itself ... apparently, after a crane fell from up above. The rubble slid off the side of the building in crazy video captured by onlookers in the street.

NOLA officials say at least 1 person is confirmed deceased while at least 18 others were injured and sent to the hospital. The city's fire chief says at least 3 people are unaccounted for -- all of whom are reportedly contractors who were working on-site.

Another hanging crane is said to be unstable at the moment, and more of the building could collapse -- so police and the fire department have cleared neighboring streets and evacuated surrounding buildings. A search-and-rescue operation is currently underway.

The Tennessee woman who went viral after video showed her twerking on top of a moving vehicle just got busted for her wild dance moves.

Myscellent Shelton-Cox was booked into a Nashville jail Friday morning on one charge of disorderly conduct.

In the viral video ... you see the 23-year-old twerking and doing the splits on the roof of a silver Ford Mustang as it slowly travels down a residential street in the Nashville area.

It's pretty crazy ... after the video started spreading like wildfire after her ride last month, the woman admitted in an interview with a local TV news station it wasn't her first time dancing atop a moving car!!!

The thought of Tekashi 6ix9ine doing music once he's free has rapper Blueface issuing not-so-veiled threats and appraising the snitch's street cred ... as worthless.

We got Blueface out at LAX Thursday and got his take on Tekashi landing a multi-million dollar deal while he's still behind bars. Blueface didn't waste time leveling a threat against Tekashi ... suggesting he'd unleash his muscle on the snitch if they ever see him in Tinseltown.

It's no surprise Blueface isn't showing any love for Tekashi69 -- Blueface reps the School Yard Crips and 6ix9ine was deeply involved with the Nine Trey Blood gang. Those ties were shredded when Tekashi snitched big time for a chance to get his possible 47-year sentence reduced.

Blueface makes it clear ... when he gets out, Tekashi's persona non grata in L.A.

Prince's estate is furious with President Trump after he played "Purple Rain" at a rally ... almost exactly a year to the date when Trump's campaign agreed to stop playing the late singer's music.

Trump was in Prince's hometown of Minneapolis Thursday at the Target Center. Before the rally started, "Purple Rain" played throughout the arena on loudspeakers.

The decision to play the famous Prince song pissed off the singer's estate, who in a statement said, "President Trump played Prince’s 'Purple Rain' tonight at a campaign event in Minneapolis despite confirming a year ago that the campaign would not use Prince’s music. The Prince Estate will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs."

It was just last October when attorneys for Prince's Estate fired off a letter to Trump's team, demanding they never play a Prince song again. In a letter back to the estate, Trump's campaign agreed to never play Prince again ... but that agreement was broken Thursday.

DaBaby is firing back at the promoters who sued him for bailing on a show ... he's now suing them, and claiming the reason he never took the stage was over a lack of security.

According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ ... DaBaby is suing Nothing To Something ENTertainment for breach of contract related to a scheduled gig back in May at Centro Night Club in Lawrence, MA -- a gig DaBaby never followed through with.

In the docs, DaBaby claims the contract he signed with the promoter promised him two security guards at the club, but the rapper says NTS failed to deliver on the night of the show. DaBaby claims the lack of security is the reason he didn't perform.

As we first reported ... NTS sued DaBaby back in July for bailing on the gig, claiming it paid DaBaby upfront and shelled out even more cash to promote the performance, only for him to dip before the show even began.

It's interesting ... on the night of DaBaby's scheduled gig at the center of the lawsuit, his personal security beat the crap out of a guy outside the venue, and the vicious beatdown was caught on camera.

The man who got beat up by DaBaby's posse, fellow rapper Don Trag, is currently suing DaBaby.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley have had enough after their latest blowout -- we're being told they're finally calling it quits once and for all.

Sources close to the volatile couple tell TMZ ... both Ronnie and Jen feel like the domestic incident from last week was the straw that broke the camel's back -- albeit for different reasons. Still, we're told they realize they can't continue on in a relationship.

It sounds like they've both reached this conclusion separately, as our sources tell us, each person has been telling their own group of friends the same thing in terms of breaking up.

Matt Lauer is firing back against a bombshell claim of rape against him by an ex-NBC employee, saying all the sexual encounters they had were consensual and mutual.

The disgraced "Today" show outcast penned a letter Wednesday in response to a salacious claim made in Ronan Farrow's new book -- in which a woman named Brooke Nevils says Matt anally raped her in his hotel room at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Nevils -- a former NBC producer -- claims she and Matt had several drinks together one night, and that on two separate occasions ... she went up to his hotel room. During that second visit, Nevils alleges Matt pounced on her, put her on the bed and penetrated her.

In the book, Ronan says Nevils told him she repeatedly said "no" during the alleged rape.

Matt says that account is "categorically false" though, going on to explain that the episode was completely wanted and reciprocated on both sides ... which carried over into what he describes as an "extramarital affair" back in New York.

In his letter, Matt writes ... "In a new book, it is alleged that an extramarital, but consensual, sexual encounter I have previously admitted having, was in fact an assault. It is categorically false, ignores the facts, and defies common sense."

Richard Sherman wants to extend an olive branch to Baker Mayfield ... saying he's sorry for causing a massive controversy by alleging the Browns QB snubbed him of a handshake before Monday's game.

Sherman went OFF on Bake after the San Francisco 49ers destroyed Cleveland on Monday Night Football ... saying, "What's amazing and annoying was him not shaking hands at the beginning ... "That's some college s***."

The 4-time Pro Bowler went on to say Bake's non-dap was "disrespectful to the game" and the Niners saw it as motivation.

But, after footage seemed to contradict Sherman's side of things ... he decided to come out and say Mayfield deserves an apology for all the hubbub he started.

"It's definitely my bad," Sherman told "The Pat McAfee Show" on Wednesday. "I never want anybody to have to deal with some stuff that they didn't do."

"And, so the questions that he's gonna get and the annoying, nonsense questions about some stuff that happened in a game that's already been done, sure he'll get an apology for that."

"I'll probably reach out to him via text or social media to actually get ahold of him and talk to him on the phone."

"Yeah, because that sucks. He definitely deserves an apology, and that's my bad on that."

Sherman says he meant what he said though ... that he DID feel disrespected by how Baker acted at midfield prior to the beatdown on the Browns.

Baker has yet to speak out on "HandshakeGate" ... but it's only a matter of time.

Charlie Brown isn't about to let Dolly Parton's theme park get away with using his famous Christmas tune -- at least not on the watch of the song's cowriter.

Lee Mendelson's production company is suing Dollywood for using the song "Christmas Time Is Here" in a play the amusement park puts on each year. Lee cowrote the song -- famously featured in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" -- and his production studio owns the copyright.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Mendelson's company says it recently became aware Dollywood weaves the track into its stage play, "Twas the Night Before Christmas," which LM's team claims has been happening, without permission, since '07.

The use of the song is no secret ... you can find clips of the performance online, in which the cast sings the track. The iconic piano melody shows up as background music too.

Goonies never say die, but Corey Feldman says a 'Goonies' sequel is anything but a sure thing ... telling us plans for a new movie are pretty much dead in the water.

We got Corey in New York City Tuesday afternoon and asked him straight-up if the 'Goonies' tale is gonna continue, and he tells our photog ... "There ain't no damn 'Goonies' reunion!!!"

Corey says any rumblings about a potential 'Goonies 2' are nothing more than rumors ... sparked by his get together with costar Sean Astin at NostalgiaCon last month.

Elizabeth Warren is sticking to her story that she was once fired simply for being pregnant ... never mind a report refuting her account.

The Democratic Presidential candidate and Senator from Massachusetts doubled down Tuesday morning ... adamantly saying she was shown the door at 22 from a teaching job in New Jersey just because she was visibly pregnant. It's a personal story she's told on the campaign trail in her quest to champion women and labor issues.

Warren's comments come on the heels of a report from the right-leaning website, the Washington Free Beacon ... which reported that county records show Warren resigned from her position in 1971 as a speech pathologist just 2 months after the board "unanimously approved" a "provisional certificate" that would extend her teaching contract a second year.

Warren insists that after one year of teaching, the principal told her the job promised to her would go to someone else. But, the Free Beacon, citing county records, reports Warren submitted her resignation after just one year and the board "accepted with regret."

BTW ... back in 2007, Warren explained her departure from teaching during an interview at UC Berkeley. She had said, that after a year of teaching children with disabilities, she'd gotten an "emergency certificate" because she lacked education courses.

Warren added, "I went back to graduate school and took a couple of courses in education and said, 'I don't think this is going to work out for me.'"

Lamar Odom was feeling a little contained below the belt as he waited on deck at "Dancing with the Stars" -- so he made a BIG adjustment ... which was caught on camera.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... June handed over her keys to some investors in August for just 6 figures. That's a shocking loss, considering she bought it in 2014 for $156k, and it had been appraised in 2018 at $150,300.

You don't have to be a math whiz to know June took a bath, but what's really shocking is SHE set that dirt-cheap discount price!!!

Our sources say Mama June was approached by a group of real estate investors who'd heard through the grapevine she wanted to sell. We're told June informed them the place could be theirs for the nice round price of $100k.

Of course, they quickly agreed, paid a $2,500 down payment and let escrow take care of the rest. BTW, this was a CASH transaction.
