Voight says Tinseltown really does need help ... and, it's good news the prez really cares about the film industry -- 'cause that means they can get people to roll up their sleeves and save it.

Pope Francis' death means the church needs to hold a conclave ... and, 'cause it's been more than a decade since the last one, some are looking to an Oscar-winning movie for a refresher.

According to Politico, a few Cardinals in the church are sitting down and watching "Conclave" starring Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini and Stanley Tucci ... just to pick up a few pointers before the real thing kicks off.

The last conclave was held in 2013, when Pope Francis was chosen after two days and multiple ballots ... and, many clerics in the church now were appointed by Francis -- and took no part in that event.

Here's the deal ... Clarksdale, a town of about 15,000, hasn't had a movie theater for years, which means peeps have to travel an hour to the closest big city -- Memphis, Tennessee -- to see a flick ... and that's a chore most residents don't have the time or money to bother with, even to see a cultural phenomenon set in their own community.

Clarksdale’s Mayor Chuck Espy tells TMZ ... the city has been in talks with Warner Bros., and a special event is going to take place so everyone who wants to see the film on the big screen finally will have the chance!

Pee-wee Herman’s beloved bicycle from the 1985 cult classic "Pee-wee’s Big Adventure" has officially found a new home — and for a hefty price.

A rep for Van Eaton Galleries tells TMZ ... the screen-used stunt bike, ridden by the late Paul Reubens in the film, sold for an impressive $125K on Saturday.

The bicycle was one of only 14 created for the film. The prop was custom-made and while it's been restored slightly to make it appear closer to what it looked like in the film, we're told the surviving elements have been kept intact.

Joel -- who was accidentally shot by Alec Baldwin in a tragic 2021 on-set incident that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins by the same bullet -- said he initially rejected the thought of returning to "Rust" after his hospitalization. But the idea grew on him, especially knowing Halyna’s family wanted the film finished.

Souza reflected on the morning of the tragedy to The Guardian, calling it a domino effect of bad decisions, one after the other -- so he wishes he never went back to "Rust" post-shooting -- in fact, he wishes he hadn’t even written it!
