The President of the United States -- who was named chairman of the center earlier this year -- announced all five honorees for this year's ceremony Wednesday ... speaking about his friend Stallone at length.

POTUS lauded Stallone for his acting chops ... adding Sly's not the kind of person who looks for public adulation -- but, DJT says Sly was incredibly honored when he called to give him the good news.

President Trump has dispatched his army of federal agents to the gritty streets of D.C. to put an end to violent crime -- but what he's actually doing is killing the vibe for a bunch dudes just chilling out, with one just havin' a smoke ... according to a new video.

The footage was shot in the nation's capital and posted Tuesday to X, and appears to show federal law enforcement officers, flashlights at the ready, approaching a bunch of guys resting their rumps on cement stairs.

They ask to see the ID of one man who they think is smoking -- wait for it -- a joint! Ooooo! But once they find out it's just a cigarette, the agents don't pursue the matter any further and move on to other quality of life issues.

Pete Buttigieg and the Biden Administration are to blame for the lack of competent air traffic controllers ... so says the current Secretary of Transportation.

Sean Duffy threw blame around on the "Pod Force One" podcast ... claiming Buttigieg lowered the requirements to be considered a "well-qualified" air traffic controller while in charge of the federal agency.

Duffy claims the threshold on the Air Traffic Skills Assessment used to be 85% to be considered well-qualified ... but, he claims, under Buttigieg, that number was changed to 80% -- a seemingly small statistical difference that Duffy says has a huge impact.

Donald Trump is furious about what he sees as out-of-control violence in Washington, D.C. -- and he's pointing to a specific case that's really hitting home for him!

47 is super pissed that former DOGE staffer Edward "Big Balls" Coristine was savagely beaten by a bunch of juveniles in D.C. over the weekend and now he's threatening to federalize the nation's capital. Elon Musk was the head of DOGE -- the Department of Government Efficiency -- before exiting the administration after having a falling out with Trump.

In a Truth Social post Tuesday, Trump went off on local officials, saying teen gang members had taken over D.C. and are "randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens."

He added that if D.C. didn't get its act together he would be forced to take federal control of the city to put criminals on notice because "they’re not going to get away with it anymore." Trump also cited the assault of "Big Balls" and posted a bloody photo of Coristine after the beatdown.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, "Big Balls" was with his significant other, Emily Bryant, near his vehicle in D.C. in the early morning hours Sunday. Police say a group of 10 juveniles confronted them and said something about stealing their car.

Cops say "Big Balls" shoved Bryant inside the vehicle and turned toward the assailants, who began brutally assaulting him. Officers on patrol witnessed the assault and arrested 2 of the suspects, while police say the other attackers ran away with one stolen item -- an iPhone worth $1,000.

8:55 AM PT -- Hours after Dean Cain appealed for people to join ICE, Dept. of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted her appearance on Fox News today on X, announcing ICE's hiring age cap has been lifted.

Noem said ... "Our recruitment efforts to hire 10,000 new ICE officers has been extremely successful ... as of today we have over 80,000 applicants for those 10,000 positions already ... we've removed any of the age barriers, we no longer have a cap on how old you can be."
