Lionel Messi is heartbroken over his father's death ... admitting he has no idea how to move forward without him -- on and off the pitch.

Jorge Messi -- who also served as Lionel's agent -- passed away in Argentina last weekend after battling an illness ... and the soccer superstar shared a heartfelt goodbye on social media.

"Dad, I still can’t believe you’re gone," Lionel said. "It hasn’t sunk in, or rather, I don’t want it to. It’s very difficult for me to imagine that I won’t see you anymore, that we won’t talk anymore. I know you were suffering and that it’s for the best, but you left too soon. We still had so much to enjoy together."

The Trump administration's plan to upgrade the White House is costing a whole lot of green ... because the president wants to spend over $900 million to update the property ... and taxpayers are on the hook for most of the bill.

The Washington Post revealed the higher-than-expected number in an article published Wednesday, citing records the outlet reviewed.

The report says the Trump administration pooled funding from federal agencies and private donors -- instead of securing money directly from Congress -- with the total cost ballooning to at least $927 million.

John Gotti's grandson Carmine Agnello will have to spend just over a year behind bars as his mom, Victoria Gotti, desperately tries to find a kidney donor during his incarceration, TMZ has learned.

The federal Bureau of Prisons says Carmine's release date has been pushed up to September 2, 2027, which is a nearly 13-month stretch instead of his original 15-month sentence.

As we reported, Carmine pleaded guilty in 2024 to a $1.1 wire fraud scheme tied to COVID-19 relief funds. Carmine surrendered Monday to the feds and was imprisoned at the Federal Correctional Institution Fairton in Fairton, New Jersey.

9:24 AM PT -- A spokesperson for the mayor tells TMZ … "There was a miscommunication. She has not taken that trip. When she takes that trip, it will be without any NYPD detail."

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is not on the same page with the NYPD when it comes to a security detail for his wife during her upcoming Middle East trip ... because it's NOT happening.

Mamdani's wife, Rama Duwaji, wanted cops to escort her around Syria and Lebanon next month, but an NYPD spokesperson tells TMZ ... "The NYPD does not send officers to countries with level four travel advisories for discretionary reasons not linked to investigative work."

That sounds like news to Mamdani ... because on Monday his office told the New York Post, "Upon the strong recommendation of the NYPD, the First Lady's security detail will be joining her when she travels to visit family in Syria and Lebanon."

An Ohio mother and her two partners are facing murder charges after her 7-year-old son was found dead and duct-taped inside a closet ... with authorities alleging the boy endured horrific abuse before his death.

Police found William Evans-Ellis Thursday inside a Cincinnati home shared by his mom, Kaitlin Evans, and her partners, Nessa Keaney, and Kirby Rankin.

Hamilton County officials say William died from blunt force trauma to the head and had injuries across much of his body. Investigators allege he was beaten, burned, and subjected to water torture.

Lindsay Clancy Former Shrink Denies Any Medical Wrong Doing

The doctor who treated Lindsay Clancy as a psychiatric patient is firing back at allegations of medical malpractice, denying she did anything wrong while caring for Clancy.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Dr. Jennifer Tufts -- the psychiatrist who treated Clancy, the mother who is charged in the 2023 deaths of her three children -- denies she engaged in "any wrongdoing whatsoever" while having Clancy as a patient.
