Brandon 'Greasy Bear' Davis Broke?

Published | Updated

Say it isn't so! Brandon "Greasy Bear" Davis' hard-partying, firecrotch-calling ways have finally caught up with him. Page Six reports that Davis' wealthy oil family is so disgusted by his behavior that they've financially cut him off.

Greasy Bear's been asking friends for funds to stay afloat, but these days, many of them, including Paris Hilton and Stavros Niarchos, aren't calling him back. Oh, how the Greasy Bear has fallen!

The oily heir has reportedly holed up in Miami with one of his few remaining pals, music producer Scott Storch.

Britney Picks Up New Pooch

Britney Spears falls in love with dogs just about as quickly as she falls in love with men, y'all. Brit-Brit picked up a new Yorkie puppy yesterday after walking into a Bel Air pet store and spending less than a half hour with the pup. Take that, Jason Alexander!

The pop trainwreck plunked down a cool $3K for the pooch, who, reports People, has been named London. Also new to the Brit menagerie of weird and wacky animals: a parakeet she picked up last month.

Cowell to Kelly: Back Off!

Crabby Simon Cowell weighed in on the ongoing feud between Kelly Clarkson and Sony/BMG boss Clive Davis -- and he's firmly in the Davis camp. Clarkson and Davis butted heads over Clarkson's newest album -- with a catty Kelly saying to Davis, "You're 80, you're not supposed to like my album."

Cowell fired back in Davis' defense, telling EXTRA "Clive Davis at 80 is better than 99 percent of the people in the music business in their 20s, 30s and 40s ... and he's not 80 ... [Davis] is the boss of the record company, and it's his job to advise."

Party Favors...Reality TV, Doggy Style...

Sanjaya Blows on the Road

Published | Updated

The talent-free hairball that is Sanjaya is on the "American Idol" summer tour, and wouldn't you know it, he still can't sing a lick!

TMZ caught up with the vocally challenged Idol in Greenville, South Carolina where he successfully turned a cover of the classic "Life is a Highway" into road kill -- singing only a couple of the right words, running out of breath mid-performance, and resorting to the same head-shaking antics that previously made you want to throw your television out the nearest window. A little pitchy!

Chris Sligh joined Sanjy on stage, but looked like he didn't want anything to do with the singing part of the "performance" -- quietly playing his guitar on the opposite side of the stage while the lyric butchering commenced. While my guitar gently weeps!

Kat McPhee's Mysterious McMarkings

Published | Updated

Katharine McPhee turned up to the Hollywood premiere of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" last night with either a baroquely hideous skin condition or some unfamiliar mystic markings on her left arm and foot.

Wait just a McSecond, now ... looks familiar ... isn't that ... a henna tattoo ... from 1998?! Holy Gwen Stefani! It was all about reaching back for Kat last night on the red carpet; the stunstress rocked a vintage-y, Pucci-esque, quasi-70s creation as well. Here's another red carpet look not enhanced by unfortunate tattooing.

Jordin Sparks' Idol Is ... Chris Richardson!

TMZ has learned that "Idol" winner Jordin Sparks has fallen head ovah heels for Justin Timberfake wannabeen Chris Richardson! This is her now! While she and runner-up Blake Lewis are just friends, we're told Jordin has a huge crush on 23-year-old Richardson -- despite his penchant for late nights and hanging out with the likes of Lauren Conrad. Boys will be dogs!

Sources on the tour tell us that because Jordin is only 17, her minders and family members are doing everything they can to keep from letting anything -- or anyone! -- get in the way of the underage star's bright future. Sexy and 17 -- and off limits!

Kelly Clarkson Opens for Paris?!

Published | Updated

Paris Hilton is a paparazzi magnet ... Kelly Clarkson, not so much.

TMZ spotted Hilton and Clarkson at Koi last night, and while ex-con Paris worked the crowd of paps into a wild frenzy, Kelly walked out to noticeably less photog fanfare.

Moments after Miss Independent left the WeHo eatery, getting a small group of about 10 paps excited, Paris came out and set off a photog snapstorm, engulfing both the heiress and her sister Nicky's SUV outside of the Japanese restaurant. Sure, Clarkson may sell a helluva lot more records, but there's just no beating Paris when it comes to paparazzi attention.

Controversy Makes Kelly Smile

Published | Updated

It's been quite a year for Kelly Clarkson. From the look of this outfit she was caught wearing at the airport in NYC, it may be taking its toll.

The Grammy-winning singer was looking more like a 15-year-old pizza boy than a young starlet. All she's missing is her skateboard! Not that we're expecting her to doll it up just to spend a few hours on a plane, but this thrown-together neo-emo mess is starting to be a signature look for the idol winner.

A little effort will go a long way ... as you can see.

"Idols" Get the Dan Band Treatment

Published | Updated

"American Idol" finalist Gina Glocksen kicked off her birthday celebration over the weekend by checking out the Dan Band in Hollywood. Time to see how the pros do it.

Dan Finnerty -- who fronts the hilarious group and was also featured in "Old School" -- spotted Glocksen sitting near the stage with fellow "Idols" Chris Sligh, Chris Richardson and Phil Stacey. In traditional Dan Band fashion, Finnerty took a swig of beer as he belted out "What a Feeling" to the table of "Idol" finalists.

Let's see Jordin Sparks do that!

Blake Feelin' Sparks?!

Published | Updated

They've denied up and down that they're an item, but Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis have been looking awfully co-co-co-zy in the afterglow of their "American Idol" glory.

A TMZ spy spotted the "Idol" finalists "holding hands" while shopping at a Fry's Electronics store near L.A. We're told that they wandered around the store, unmolested, and seemed "happy" together. Blake was overheard saying to the 17-year-old Jordin, "We should call your mom." Need a ride, kids?

Here, B & J yuk it up for photogs, as Blake rocks an outfit that seamlessly blends New Kids on The Block and low-rent surf dude chic.

The pair will tour with the rest of the "Idol" crew this summer, but it looks like they've got their own duet.

Paula: Gimme a Birthday Hug, Kids! Now!

Published | Updated

Paula Abdul was spotted giving out hugs to a group of children outside her birthday party last night -- with the embraces hovering somewhere between overly nice and extremely awkward.

On her way into Ketchup in West Hollywood, Abdul walked up to a group of five children, and hugged each of them one by one, curiously lingering a bit too long with the kids, the youngest of whom couldn't care less about the "Idol" wackette.

With no Simon, Randy or Seacrest in sight, Abdul's b-day scavenger hunt was an "American Idol" wannabeen fiesta, with Season 6 rejects including Gina Glocksen, LaKisha Jones, Chris Richardson and Hayley Scarnato all taking part in the festivities.

Apparently, Antonella Barba was busy.

Simon to Ryan I'm the American Idol Bee-yotch!

Published | Updated

Simon Cowell added fuel to his bitchfest with Ryan Seacrest, by claiming the more airtime he gets on "American Idol" the better the show's ratings are. Settle down, ladies!

The dueling divas took to the airwaves on Tuesday, when Simon called in to KIIS FM's "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," after news hit that Ryan jokingly said the drop in "A.I." ratings this season were all Simon's fault. Sanjaya say what?!

Ryan believes if Simon wants credit for the show's success (which Cowell does claim), he also has to take the blame when it fumbles. Seacrest added, "Plus, there's a little bit of ego that's getting out of control with you." Ya think?

Simon, who is more vocal during the audition episodes, hit back at Ryan by saying, "When I'm allowed more airtime we get 34 million viewers. When I say nothing -- and you're talking -- we get 12 million less."

Oh for the love of Dunkleman, just hug it out already!

Simon: This Is Your Life

Published | Updated

Simon Cowell embarrasses "American Idol" contestants for a living, but the tables were turned on him this past Saturday. Cowell was the subject of a new British version of the classic TV show "This Is Your Life," and everyone from former school teachers to housecleaners -- along with Simon's ex-girlfriend Sinitta and "X-Factor" co-judge Sharon Osborne -- were on hand to make Simon squirm.

Cowell found out he was going to be the (unwilling) subject of the show when "Life's" Sir Trevor McDonald ambushed him during a taping of "American Idol."

Paula: I'm Deeply Hurt

Published | Updated

In an exclusive statement to TMZ, Paula Abdul says:

"I am deeply hurt and extremely disappointed that someone has taken a private telephone conversation that I had with my representatives and released it to the media. This is not only illegal but also highly unethical. While I don't feel a need to justify or explain my conversation, even as a public figure I do feel my privacy has been violated and find this action to be unacceptable."

As first reported by Page Six and posted by Perez Hilton, a secretly taped phone conversation was released today -- which featured a sobbing Abdul discussing her former publicist and their strained relationship. Paula, we're told, is now back with her longtime publicist Jeff Ballard.

Unfortunately for her, the "Idol" judge was in London for the past few days and had no clue about the controversy that was swirling around her until she arrived in the States today.

Welcome back!
