Mariah Carey clearly wanted to be seen Saturday night ... rolling into Catch, the restaurant du jour always swarmed by paparazzi, but she was short on words.

Mariah and backup dancer Bryan Tanaka arrived and left together, and there's no doubt she's trying to make a statement. He was with her the night before at Nobu, another restaurant where you can count on good sushi and plenty of paps.

Mariah Carey has the ultimate defense against claims she was banging her choreographer -- namely, she doesn't bang before marriage, and yeah ... that includes James Packer.

Sources close to Mariah tell us rumors about her relationship with Bryan Tanaka are completely false. We're told Mimi has a long-standing rep as a "traditional girl," and wouldn't blow that for anyone.

That stance extended to her now ex-fiance. We're told even though they lived together and spent weeks at a time on his yacht, they never got sexual. They always had separate rooms in their homes and on their boats.

Mariah's ex, Nick Cannon, can testify to her puritanical values. He's admitted in interviews he had to wait 'til they got hitched to round the bases.

Our Mariah sources say she and James were more like lovesick 12-year-olds -- they made out plenty, but never sealed the deal -- and that's one reason he was pushing hard to get married ASAP.

Ahh ... best laid plans.

Molly Parker's husband is ending their marriage, but he really took his sweet time doing so.

The "House of Cards" actress married Benedict Matthew Bissonnette in 2002, and he says they separated 7 years later in 2009. Now -- after another 7 years -- he got around to filing for divorce.

Benedict cited irreconcilable differences, but it's been so long you gotta wonder if he remembers the exact nature of the differences.

The good news -- everything seems super cordial. Bissonnette's filing for joint custody of their 10-year-old son and doesn't want either to pay the other spousal support. He also says there are no assets to split.

If only Frank Underwood was this easy to work with.

Mariah Carey has privately made a demand to James Packer ... he needs to pay her $50 mil ... or else.

Sources connected to the now warring ex-couple tell TMZ ... Mariah believes James has cost her tens of millions of dollars, and here's why:

-- She claims he got her to move from New York to L.A., uprooting her entire life, so he could be near his kids.

-- She claims the incident on the yacht in Greece -- where she says he did something awful to her assistant -- has traumatized Mariah so much she had to cancel the South American leg of her tour.

-- He made various financial promises to her.

Mariah Carey showed James Packer who's boss Thursday night by chowing down with the guy who made her ex-fiance crazy.

Mariah sushied out at Nobu in Malibu with Bryan Tanaka, the backup dancer who got super flirty with her ... so much so Packer had it out with him in Mariah's dressing room and then got Tanaka banned from Caesar's Palace, where MC performs.

As we reported ... Mariah and James had a nuclear breakup ... she claims after he did something terrible to her assistant last month on a yacht in Greece.

James Packer went crazy on a guy he suspected was making moves on Mariah Carey ... sources connected with Mariah tell TMZ.

Our Mariah sources say Packer grew jealous of her relationship with Bryan Tanaka -- her dancer and choreographer -- and the tension boiled over in June at Mariah's show.

We're told Bryan wasn't dancing that night due to an injury, so Packer thought it was weird he botherd to show up. Packer pulled Bryan into a room for a little mano a mano. Our sources say there was a ton of yelling, but it's unclear if it got physical.

We're told Mariah didn't make a fuss because Bryan, who was nursing a knee injury, wasn't dancing. Mariah sources say she feared Packer. As we've reported, she thinks he's "mentally unstable."

Our Mariah sources think James got suspicious after she gave Bryan a lap dance -- a staple in her show -- during a May performance in South Africa.

James Packer "is not in his right mind" ... so claim people who Mariah Carey has downloaded with info about her bitter breakup.

Our Mariah sources tell us, "she had to leave him" and he hasn't been "present for her" in a couple of months. They call James "mentally unstable."

Even more serious ... the sources say the last straw for the relationship was that he got "violent" a month ago on a yacht in Greece.

TMZ broke the story ... Mariah claimed Packer was really terrible to her assistant on the boat, and that sent her packing.

Women's Day in Australia is reporting James dumped Mariah in part over her "extravagant spending."

It sure seemed like something was amiss over the weekend when Nick Cannon showed up for Mariah's Halloween party but Packer was a no-show. They said it was because Halloween parties were not his thing ... it's possible neither is Mariah anymore.

Just days after her split from Scottie Pippen, Larsa was showing off her insane physique on her way into a nail shop near her home in Fort Lauderdale ... walking around in a pair of tight booty shorts.

Worth noting ... no ring on Larsa's finger -- which isn't a huge surprise considering the cops responded to TWO incidents involving her and Scottie earlier this month.

Larsa was also asked about her relationship with Future before speeding off in her sick black Ferrari ... which looked ALMOST as good leaving as she did.

The Brad Pitt child abuse investigation has been expanded to the entire family, including Angelina ... sources connected with Angelina Jolie tell TMZ.

Our sources say ... the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services initially focused on the plane incident in which Brad allegedly struck 15-year-old Maddox.

Our sources say, through various interviews with family members, DCFS has now expanded its investigation to other alleged incidents, including interactions between Brad and Angelina which were allegedly witnessed by 1 or more of their 6 kids.

The Angelina sources say some of the children have been fearful around Brad, and Maddox in particular has problems with his dad. We're told the meeting Brad had with Maddox last week ended quickly because Maddox didn't want to be there.

None of our sources would say if the DCFS interviews turned up anything that would cause the agency to take action related to custody.

Kate Beckinsale and her husband, Len Wiseman, pulled the plug on their marriage ... TMZ has learned.

Wiseman cited irreconcilable differences. His docs state both he and Kate have waived any right to spousal support, and that suggests there's a prenup.

They were married in 2004 and have no kids together.

TMZ broke the story ... the couple's marriage was on the rocks last November. Len was spotted out with model CJ Franco, and Kate we seen shortly after -- sans wedding ring -- on the red carpet.

Tobey Maguire could use a shave, because he looks like he has more important things on his mind.

The actor ventured out in L.A. Monday ... the first time he's been seen since announcing he and his wife were splitting up after 9 years of marriage. Spidey's still wearing red these days -- but gym shorts aren't quite as cool.

Maguire's ex, Jennifer Meyer, was seen out in public last week ... and she seemed pretty chill.

Scottie Pippen's marriage did not end well -- cops were called to the NBA star's home TWICE in the past 3 weeks for domestic disturbances ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've confirmed ... the Ft. Lauderdale PD first responded to Pippen's home on October 2nd and found Larsa waiting in her car in front of the home.

Larsa told cops she was involved in a "heated verbal argument" with Scottie but insisted it NEVER GOT PHYSICAL.

Scottie told police she could come back inside and there would be no issues and even offered to leave if it made Larsa feel more comfortable. Larsa decided to leave and stay somewhere else that night. No arrests were made.

The next incident took place on October 4th. Cops were once again called to the home for a domestic disturbance. The details are unclear at this point -- but it appears no one was arrested.

Scottie ultimately filed for divorce on October 18th. Larsa has said she's hopeful the two will be able to maintain a good relationship for the sake of their 4 kids.
