Bill Cosby Accuser's Lawyer ... Oops Sorry For Putting You on Blast

Published | Updated

The lawyer who reps the woman who sued Bill Cosby for allegedly sexually assaulting her in 1974 has just tried correcting a huge problem ... he's taken Cosby's name out of the suit, but it's a ridiculous gesture.

Judy Huth's lawyer, Marc Strecker, filed the lawsuit last week and named Cosby as the defendant. Problem is ... under California law out of fairness, these suits require the lawyer NOT to name the defendant but to refer to him as John Doe.

The reason for the law ... so people aren't ruined by lawsuits that may turn out to be bogus.

So Strecker just re-filed the lawsuit swapping out Cosby's name with Doe. Obviously, he can't unring that bell.

Huth claims Cosby got her drunk and then took her to the Playboy Mansion in 1974 where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. It's pretty clear ... the statute of limitations has long run.

Bill Cosby The LAPD Wants Answers From the Man Himself

Published | Updated

The LAPD wants to know if a 40-year-old sexual assault claim against Bill Cosby is legit -- and they want it from the horse's mouth.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... they will contact Cosby ASAP to try getting him on the record. And the detectives who will do the interview -- assuming Cosby consents -- are elite. The case has been assigned to the Robbery-Homicide Division.

As we previously reported ... the LAPD is already on the hunt for documents and interviews from people at the Playboy Mansion to determine if Cosby was even there when the alleged incident took place.

Judy Huth filed a police report Friday ... saying she was 15 when Cosby got her drunk in 1974 ... then sexually assaulted her at the famous mansion.

Cosby has already said Huth is a liar in court docs ... so we're guessing his interview will sound similar.

BTW ... the chances of Cosby talking to cops are way less than slim. He has nothing to gain ... the statute of limitations has long run on the alleged crime.

Dr. Luke Sues Kesha's Lawyer Screwed Me When He Called Me a Rapist

Published | Updated

Dr. Luke is firing back at Kesha's attorney with a lawsuit ... after he accused the high-powered producer of raping Lady Gaga -- something Luke calls an "outrageous" lie.

TMZ broke the story ... after Lady Gaga told Howard Stern last week that someone in the music industry had raped her -- Mark Geragos went on Twitter and asked, "Guess who the rapist was?"

When someone guessed Dr. Luke ... Geragos responded, "#bingo." When we contacted Geragos he doubled down ... telling us he said it "because it's true." Of course, Geragos is representing Kesha in her sexual assault lawsuit against Luke.

In his defamation lawsuit, filed today, Luke calls Geragos' comment "maliciously false." Gaga backed that up last week, telling TMZ it's absolutely untrue that Luke was the mystery rapist.

In his docs, Luke also says he hadn't even met Gaga at the time of the alleged rape 9 years ago -- and adds he's never been alone with her or touched her.

Madisen Beaty My Ex-BF Crossed the Line in Bed ... And Abused My Dog

Published | Updated

Actress Madisen Beaty says she fears for her life after her violent ex-boyfriend beat her up during rough sex and terrorized her dog.

Beaty -- who stars on "The Fosters" and also appeared in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" -- got a restraining order against ex-bf Cameron Brown. In court docs, she says Brown severely abused her and damaged her stuff by:

-- repeatedly punching her in the face during rough sex
-- choking her with a seat belt
-- throwing a broken cabinet door at her
-- tossing her cell phone "down the block"

Madisen also says in the docs ... Brown threw her white standard poodle named Beverly around her apartment -- and drove recklessly while Beverly was unsecured in a backseat. She says the pooch got tossed around the vehicle.

If that wasn't bad enough, Madisen says Brown repeatedly called her an "overdramatic actress" who "cried way too easily" and that he "enjoyed" hitting her in the face.

The judge ordered Brown to stay 100 yards away from Madisen and her poodle.

Floyd Mayweather KO'S NEW ORLEANS WINE BAR In Super Bowl Party War

Published | Updated

Floyd Mayweather went toe-to-toe with a New Orleans wine bar ... and kicked its whole ass ... with a judge forcing the bar to pay up for SPREADING LIES about the boxer ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We broke the story ... Mayweather sued The Wine Bistro in N.O. back in 2013 -- claiming the place falsely advertised that he'd be hosting a Super Bowl party with some members of The Money Team.

Floyd was pissed that the bar profited off his name and worried his fans would be pissed ... thinking he was a no-show.

Now, we've obtained legal docs which show the U.S. District Court judge saw it Mayweather's way -- ordering the bar to pay up.

But it wasn't exactly the MASSIVE windfall Floyd was hoping far -- he only walked away with $2,250 in damages.

Moral victory?

Casey Kasem Amex Even Goes After the Dead

Casey Kasem's life after death continues to be tumultuous ... American Express is gunning for more than $40K of the money he left behind.

Amex filed a creditor's claim, claiming Casey or someone in his world racked up $41,046.70.

The late DJ was in no position to use his card for more than a year before his death ... maybe more. Presumably his wife Jean used it for various purposes.

Casey's body is still above ground in Norway, waiting for a proper burial ... 6 months after his death.

Mase Loses Lawsuit to Model But She's Worth Way Less Than She Thinks

Published | Updated

The chick Mase plastered on ads to promote his new single has a grossly inflated value of herself ... so says a judge who just humiliated her.

Stephanie Delgado sued the rapper-turned-reverend-turned-rapper for stealing a pic from her Instagram page and plastering it on advertisements to promote his new single, "Why Can't We."

Delgado wanted $60,000 in damages ... presumably because she felt the pic was effective in hawking the single.

Mase never responded to her lawsuit so the judge entered a default judgment. But the judge wanted her to prove how much the pic was worth. She said she had once made $25,000 for a commercial shoot to promote an artist's music. The judge asked for proof but she said it was all done in cash and only knew she made the deal with a guy named Woo.

The judge decided a fair price for the pic was $7,500.

Woo-hoo.

Bill Cosby LAPD ... We Need Hef's Help

Published | Updated

The LAPD investigation into alleged sexual assault at the Playboy Mansion by Bill Cosby is less than a day old, but cops already have their sights set on Hugh Hefner's estate for critical evidence.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the first thing they need to determine is whether Cosby and his accuser -- who was 15 at the time -- were even at the mansion.

As TMZ first reported ... Judy Huth and her lawyer Gloria Allred went to LAPD Friday afternoon and filed a police report. As we previously reported, the LAPD will investigate even though it's pretty clear the statute of limitations has long ago run -- the alleged incident occurred in 1974.

Our sources say detectives are hoping Hefner's people will be helpful, but it's unclear how much can be documented from an event that went down 4 decades ago.

Cosby says Huth is a liar, who unsuccessfully tried selling her story to the tabloids ten years ago.

Cosby's lawyer also says her claim that she and Cosby played a beer game is absurd because Cosby is a lifelong non-drinker.

Halle Berry I Got Proof Gabriel Bleached Nahla's Hair!

Published | Updated

Halle Berry says she has the smoking follicle to prove Gabriel Aubry bleached and damaged her daughter's hair ... and the proof is in Nahla's hair brush.

TMZ broke the story ... Halle hauled Gabriel into court, claiming he was straightening and lightening her hair to make her appear white. Gabriel denied using chemicals and said the lightening was from the pool and sun.

Halle submitted documents to the court from Microtrace, a forensic consulting lab. Halle gave them a pink hair brush with strands of Nahla's hair.

The company analyzed the hair and concluded there was evidence it was chemically treated. The lab went on to say the repeated use of chemicals took their toll, writing there was "extensive damage ... likely the cumulative effect of repeated exposure to numerous gentle bleaching treatments."

The judge ruled neither Halle nor Gabriel could mess with Nahla's hair, and based on pics of Nahla and Gabriel from this week ... it looks like her hair is going back to normal.

Bill Cosby Accuser Filing Police Report Will Trigger Full LAPD Investigation

Published | Updated

The woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby when she was 15 is filing a police report with the LAPD Friday afternoon TMZ has learned ... and that will trigger a formal investigation.

Judy Huth is -- at the time of this post -- on her way to the PD, along with her new lawyer, Gloria Allred.

Huth just sued Cosby, claiming he got her drunk and then took her to the Playboy Mansion where he sexually assaulted her. Cosby filed legal docs Thursday, claiming she's a liar who tried to sell the story to the tabloids a decade ago and then tried extorting the comedian in return for her silence.

Cosby also notes ... the alleged incident occurred 40 years ago ... well beyond the statute of limitations.

TMZ broke the story ... even if the statute of limitations has run, they will investigate if someone files a police report -- which she is now doing. The cops say they conduct these investigations because they don't know what twists and turns will occur ... possibly unearthing new alleged victims.

Vanessa Hudgens Alleged Stalker Gets Lost in Translation

Published | Updated

Vanessa Hudgens was all set to take legal action against an African guy who was sending her emails ... about his angelic penis, by the way -- which clearly sounds bizarre.

But turns out he just misunderstood how to properly hit on American women. Never talk about your junk until the 2nd date, dude!

Vanessa Hudgens The Guy's Not a Stalker It's an African Thing

Published | Updated

Vanessa Hudgens -- with the help of her sharp lawyer and the LAPD -- just reached what may be the best resolution ever in a stalking case ... a case with a culture clash.

TMZ broke the story ... Vanessa's lawyer, Shawn Holley, got a temporary restraining order against a guy who traveled from his native Africa to L.A. with a goal ... to marry her.

The guy sent Vanessa a bunch of emails, including, "I love you and wanna marry you. I WRITE SCREENPLAYS. I wanna become a movie star." He also said, "God gave me a penis to make you feel like you never did everytime when we'll make love."

He caused enough alarm to get the attention of LAPD detectives, who went out to serve him with the temporary restraining order.

Now the big turn. We've learned the cops thought he was a decent guy. We're told the guy was "extremely apologetic," saying he was from another culture and had no idea he was being harassing or annoying.

So our law enforcement sources tell us the cops went to Shawn Holley and debriefed her. Holley had a decision to make -- a hearing was scheduled Thursday to make the restraining order permanent.

We're told Holley ended up calling the guy and reached the same conclusions as the LAPD. She got him to sign an out-of-court binding agreement promising he'd leave Vanessa alone, or else.

Happy ending. Vanessa is fine, and the man is happily in film school.

Rihanna Threatened By Jeweler You Jacked Our Patriotic Pic!

Rihanna's patriotic gesture to U.S. troops has backfired over the picture she used to make her point ... and now the company that owns the pic has a novel way she can make good.

Coronet Diamonds created the image and posted it on its website November 11 -- Veteran's Day. Apparently the famous Barbadian liked it so much ... she posted it on her Instagram, and Twitter, but she kind of deceived her followers by Photoshopping herself into the image and then removing the jewelry company's hashtag.

So we found out Coronet has sent Rihanna a cease and desist letter. They'll settle for an apology on Rihanna's social media platforms ... an apology that makes it clear Coronet created the image.

Now let's talk about what Coronet really wants. It wants some free advertising ... which they will get in a big way with Rihanna's 142 MILLION followers.

Coronet is smart. The end.

Columbus Short's soon-to-be ex-wife has been criminally charged with beating up a woman whom she thought was having an affair with the former "Scandal" star.

It sounds like one of the worst marriages ever ... Columbus gets arrested, bails out, and his friend Tilly Key goes to pick him up from his home the next day. Columbus' wife, Tanee McCall-Short, sees Tilly inside the house and starts pounding on her.

Rather than breaking up the fight, Columbus videotaped it.

The L.A. City attorney was impressed with the clip, and charged Tanee with battery.

Tilly claims she suffered a concussion, a cervical sprain, multiple contusions, a lumbar strain, and a lumbar sprain.

Bill Cosby To Alleged 15-Year-Old Victim You Extorted Me In Bogus Lawsuit

Published | Updated

Bill Cosby is lashing out at the woman who claims he got her drunk and then sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 ... saying she's a liar who tried extorting him and raising the price as new women came forward.

Cosby just filed legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- in which he says Judy Huth's lawyer approached his attorney, Marty Singer, last month and made "ominous references to criminal penalties." The docs say Huth's lawyer demanded $100K for silence, and later increased the demand to $250K as more women came forward.

In the new docs, Cosby notes the woman -- who is now 56 years old -- tried to sell the story to the tabloids around 10 years ago but no one bit. So the comedian says it's total BS that she would now say she had a repressed memory, which would allow her to file a civil lawsuit. In other words, she'd have to file suit within 3 years of the time she remembered, but she supposedly remembered a decade ago.

The docs say her story falls apart because she claims she and Cosby played a "drinking game" 40 years ago ... yet Cosby is "a life-long non-drinker."

The docs also say Huth's lawyer was sketchy when he tried squeezing money out of Cosby, not even knowing if Huth went to a therapist.

Cosby is demanding that the lawsuit get dismissed, and he wants monetary sanctions as well.

CeeLo Green It's Time Cosby Started Fighting Back

Published | Updated

Bill Cosby's finally started responding to some of the molestation allegations, and CeeLo Green thinks that could go a long way to repairing the legendary comedian's image.

CeeLo told us people should back off Cosby ... at least for now ... because it's not fair to convict him on social media -- especially when Cosby's been reluctant to publicly react to his accusers.

The singer -- who pled no contest in August to furnishing ecstasy to a woman he was dating -- added that prejudging is also unfair to the alleged victims.

Check out the clip -- just interesting to hear CeeLo's take ... based on his own experience.
