Diddy Take That, Take That, Feds ... Officially Files to Appeal Criminal Case

Diddy's making good on his promise to appeal his conviction and sentence in his federal criminal case ... TMZ has learned.

According to new legal docs, filed in federal court in New York and obtained by TMZ, the notice was filed Monday and lists Alexandra A.E. Shapiro as his counsel. We're told Diddy's team will likely file their substantive brief for the appeal within 4 to 6 weeks.

As you know ... the Bad Boy mogul was sentenced back on October 3 by Judge Arun Subramanian to serve a little over 4 years in a federal prison.

He was convicted on 2 charges of transportation across state lines for the purpose of prostitution, AKA the Mann Act.

Pacers Rookie Kam Jones Arrested After Police Chase

2:28 PM PT -- Court documents TMZ Sports has obtained allege Kam Jones told cops "he did not know he was speeding and was running late for practice for the Indiana Pacers."

The docs also state Jones "did not know" the officer had initially been trying to pull him over.

Indiana Pacers rookie Kam Jones is currently behind bars just days before the NBA season -- the former Marquette standout was arrested after a "brief" police chase in Indianapolis.

Aaron Phypers Charged With Injuring Denise Richards

Denise Richards' estranged husband Aaron Phypers was arrested outside of court Friday ... and now we have his official charges.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Aaron was charged with 2 felony counts of injuring a spouse, and 2 felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat, with his total bail set at $200,000.

Michael Finley, Aaron's lawyer, previously told TMZ ... Aaron was not aware of the warrant ... and Finley accuses Denise and her legal team of "setting him up" at Friday's proceedings.

President Trump is springing ex-Congressman George Santos from prison, saying the convicted fraudster has no business doing 7 years behind bars.

POTUS admitted Santos had been a "rogue" ... but added, at least Santos "had the Courage, Conviction, and Intelligence to ALWAYS VOTE REPUBLICAN!" That's enough in Trump's book to warrant a commutation of Santos' 87-month sentence for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

Santos just went into federal prison in NJ in July, when he was open about his fears of being assaulted or even killed while doing his time. He stressed he was NOT suicidal ... just in case something happened to him.

Musician and comedian Robby Roadsteamer was arrested outside an ICE facility during a protest in Portland, Oregon -- while dressed as a giraffe -- and the feds are explaining what led up to the bust.

Video of Robby's Wednesday arrest went viral ... it shows him singing outside a federal building in the city, alongside a bunch of protesters ... when federal agents come out and grab him and take him inside.

Honchos at the Department of Homeland Security tell TMZ ... "This deceptively clipped video features this attention-starved influencer who flew all the way from Massachusetts to trespass on federal property."

Diddy received a 50-month prison sentence just a couple weeks ago ... and we now know the special conditions he'll be facing when he gets out and begins his 5 years of supervised release -- they're chock full of continued treatment for his issues.

The fallen mogul's special conditions of supervision were filed as part of the judgment in his criminal case Wednesday ... and, they include some pretty standard fare -- Diddy must submit to searches, and he can't contact the victims in this case for any reason.

Donna Adelson Gets Life In Prison Without Parole For Murder-For-Hire

Donna Adelson has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of orchestrating the killing of her former son-in-law, Daniel Markel.

Adelson was convicted on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy and solicitation last month following a trial lasting several weeks, according to the Associated Press.

She was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in a Tallahassee courtroom Monday. Each of her other two counts carries a sentence of 30 years, which are to be served consecutively.

9:23 AM PT -- In a press conference Tuesday, Governor Shapiro admitted to battling feelings of guilt following the attack, saying, "The hardest part has been trying to explain it to our children and to our nieces and nephews. I've carried with me this enormous sense of guilt -- guilt that doing this job that I love so much has put our children's lives at risk." He went on to urge that as political violence rises in this country, it's important that none of us grows numb to it. "We need real accountability for acts of political violence, and today is real accountability."

The man who set the Pennsylvania Governor's Mansion ablaze in April pleaded guilty today to arson and other charges ... and new video released shows the crime -- and inferno -- in progress.

Watch the video ... you can see Cody Balmer break a window of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's home from the outside, light a Molotov cocktail, and toss it in, starting a blaze.

Balmer, a mechanic, enters the residence through another broken window ... you can see him roaming around inside the home trying to enter various rooms by kicking the doors in. When that fails, he just starts throwing down more explosives in what appears to be the dining room ... before casually exiting through a front door and strolling away across the lawn.
