Captain Morgan is putting his foot down -- not on a barrel of rum ... on another Captain it claims is ruining its business by using a similar character to sell psychedelic drugs.

The company that's drawn the Captain's ire is Captain Amsterdam. According to the lawsuit, Captain Amsterdam sells e-cigarette refills, as well as "psychedelic and stimulant drugs such as salvia" ... a throwback to Miley's escapades with salvia.

Morgan claims Amsterdam sells a whole line of "questionable" goods using various Captain names, including Captain E-Juice, Captain Salvia and Captain Kava.

Troubled NFL star Josh Gordon's camp is shooting down widespread reports he got busted for another DUI ... and making it clear he's still working hard to get back into the league.

News of an alleged DUI arrest was all the buzz on social media Monday morning after an Atlanta news station retweeted a story about Gordon's July 2014 bust in North Carolina.

Gordon's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed to TMZ Sports there is NO new arrest ... and adds Josh settled the old case. As we previously reported, Gordon pled guilty and got off with 12 months probation ... which he's just one month shy of completing.

Rosenhaus told us Josh is keeping his nose clean and "doing all the things he has to do to get ready. We fully anticipate him being back for the 2016 season."

Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott took a felony bullet during a recorded interrogation -- admitting all the drugs cops found in his car were his ... so his kid brother wouldn't get in trouble.

TMZ Sports obtained the video of Banks County Sheriff's deputies questioning Scott about the July 30 traffic stop. As we reported, Scott's 20-year-old bro, Antonn, was driving when deputies pulled him over for speeding. They eventually found more than an ounce of weed and 10 grams of Molly in the vehicle.

In the video, a slumped over Scott explains why Antonn didn't immediately pull over -- cops chased him for 2 miles -- and he's oddly calm as he takes full responsibility for the stash of drugs. Scott 's biggest concern was whether his arrest would be "a public thing." The deputy gave him a reality check ... gently.

A Fox News contributor has invoked the Elton John Defense in Lindsay and Dina Lohan's defamation lawsuit, claiming even the Rocket Man thinks Dina is an enabler.

Lindsay and Dina filed suit because back in 2014 some guests on an FNC panel said the mother/daughter had done coke together, Lindsay was an addict, and Dina an enabler.

New legal docs cite Elton, who once said of Lindsay, "Get rid of the people who are around you, and by that I mean her family, too. They are enablers."

The docs actually reference 48 stories, with similar comments from Liv Tyler's mom, a Bev Hills psychiatrist, Aaron Carter, the New York Times and Daily News, and ... of course ... Lindsay's own father, Michael Lohan.

Fox News previously fought back against the lawsuit by saying Lindsay Lohan's drug use has long ago been established as fact ... even by Lindsay herself.

One of Michael Jackson's doctors had a famous guest on his yacht Tuesday -- Michael's son, Prince Jackson -- and they were sharing a hand-rolled "cigarette" and passing it around to various people on board.

The doctor -- Alex Farshchian -- had a complicated relationship with Michael. According to a letter he wrote to Michael -- seized by the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Dept. in MJ's molestation trial -- the doctor was trying to get Michael off Demerol and onto a synthetic, less addictive substitute for the drug.

That's why the photos are so interesting ... the doctor who was treating Michael Jackson in the throes of his Demerol addiction was smoking something with MJ's 18-year-old son.

Dr. Farshchian tells TMZ they were smoking tobacco on the yacht in Miami. It's odd that a tobacco cigarette was passed around to at least three people.

Wes Scantlin just can't seem to figure out the whole obey the law thing ... the Puddle of Mudd singer was busted for DUI for the second time in under a month.

Law enforcement sources tell us Wes was pulled over for speeding early Wednesday morning in South Dakota. We're told cops determined he was driving under the influence, but it's unclear if he failed a breathalyzer test or field sobriety testing ... or both.

Ever the overachiever, Scantlin was also charged with pot possession.

TMZ broke the story ... Wes was busted in July for DWI in Minnesota after he blew 4x the legal limit.

Scantlin is set to perform in SD tonight after getting released on $500 bail.

Kim Richards spent the night in jail after getting arrested for shoplifting Sunday night ... TMZ has confirmed.

The former 'Real Housewife' was booked into jail around 7:30 PM after store security called LAPD to a Target in the Valley. Law enforcement tells us a security guard nabbed her for allegedly scooping up a "bunch of items" worth more than $600.

Richards got out of the pokey on Monday afternoon. Her bail was $5,000. It's unclear if she was under the influence at the time of this latest arrest. She was also busted in April for allegedly making a drunken scene at the Beverly Hills hotel.

That arrested led to a rehab stint that just ended a few weeks ago.

As TMZ first reported, Kim's kinda on her own now ... since sister Kyle Richards and her husband are trying the tough love route after Kim went on a bender at her daughter's wedding.

1:55 PM PST -- A rep for Dennis Rodman tells TMZ, Dennis had no intention of getting behind the wheel and his girlfriend drove to and from the carwash.

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was wasted at a carwash Sunday morning in the O.C. ... at least according to several eyewitnesses, and it was bad enough that the cops were called ... TMZ Sports has learned.

It happened at a Costa Mesa car wash ... several people came in close contact with him -- including employees -- say he smelled of alcohol and was acting weird. We're told he walked up to a man and put his hand on his shoulder and said, "Hey white guy." And they say he walked up to several girls, telling them they were hot and they should check out his boat in Newport.

Atlanta Hawks player Mike Scott ADMITTED the marijuana and MDMA found during his arrest on Thursday belonged to him ... this according to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports.

As we previously reported, Scott was a passenger in a car that cops say led officers on a high speed chase in Georgia ... and when the car was pulled over, officers say they found 35.2 grams of weed and 10.9 grams of molly.

The driver of the car was Scott's 20-year-old younger brother -- but when the two were asked about the drugs, Mike insisted that they were all his ... and his lil bro had no idea they were in the car.

"[Scott] stated that his brother was unaware of the drugs and that he takes full responsibility for the drugs."

Cops say they tried to pull over a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe for a routine traffic stop -- but the car zipped away on the Interstate -- reaching speeds up to 98 miles per hour!!!

The car eventually stopped after a 2 mile chase -- and when they searched the car, they found more than an ounce of weed and 10 grams of MDMA ... aka Molly.

Cops say the men admitted to having the drugs in the car.

The driver was charged with fleeing from cops, attempting to elude officers, following too closely and drug possession.

Scott was charged with felony marijuana possession and possession of a schedule 1 drug.

Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is in the crosshairs of prosecutors who want to charge him with involuntary manslaughter, and they're putting the squeeze on one of Nick's friends to turn on him ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Our sources say authorities believe Nick's alleged crime is arranging to get drugs for Bobbi Kristina the day she almost drowned in her bathtub.

We know Nick claims both he and Bobbi did drugs that morning, and now sources tell us there was nothing intravenously injected.

The autopsy is not helping authorities make their case -- it showed no obvious signs of foul play and the toxicology reports will only determine if she was under the influence and not who supplied the drugs.

The key for prosecutors is the third person in Bobbi Kristina's home that day -- Max Lomas, who's currently being prosecuted in Georgia for 2 drug-related felonies, not connected to Bobbi Kristina.

Lomas' case has lingered for nearly 6 months, and one source familiar with the case tells us, authorities are interested in offering Lomas a deal -- probation on the drug charges and immunity in the Bobbi Kristina case in return for spilling all the details of what happened in her house.

We're told prosecutors believe Nick had reason to know Bobbi Kristina had a drug problem and also knew she would indulge to the point of losing consciousness, yet he helped her get and use drugs and then left her in harm's way.

Bobbi Kristina got extremely drunk the night before her mom died, fell asleep in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and flooded the room ... and it could be critical evidence in the homicide investigation.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Bobbi was partying with Whitney Houston at the Beverly Hilton bar and got drunk and unruly. Bobbi Kristina went up to her room, drew a bath and fell asleep in the tub ... intoxicated. By the time she woke up there was water everywhere.

Sources tell TMZ, attorney Jose Baez, who reps Bobbi's BF Nick Gordon, knows about the incident and will use it to convince prosecutors Nick did nothing wrong ... that she simply took too many drugs and did the same thing she did at the hotel with fatal results.

We've also learned the night Whitney Houston was found dead in her tub, Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital for acute alcohol poisoning. Whitney's PR team said it was for exhaustion, but law enforcement tells us it was excessive alcohol consumption.

It's relevant especially in light of the Medical Examiner's preliminary autopsy report, which reveals no obvious evidence of foul play.

Bill Cosby got the Quaaludes he used to drug women from a gynecologist.

The info was just made public by the Washington Post, which got hold of previously sealed documents in the sexual assault lawsuit filed by Andrea Constand.

Cosby says he got 7 scripts for the drug, which was prescribed under the pretense of a bad back.

A lawyer who worked for the gyno, who died 13 years ago, says the doctor was unscrupulous and was the go-to doc for the rich and famous when it came to prescribing recreational drugs.

But according to court docs, the gynecologist almost came to blows with Cosby when he found out about Tamara Green, one of the women who accused Cosby of sexual assault. He warned the comedian never to do it again.

John Stamos is still a fighter after completing a sting in rehab for substance abuse.

John spent 30-days in a live-in facility after his DUI arrest in Bev Hills last month. As we reported, we were told he had substance abuse issues that developed over a substantial period of time.

Stamos was so messed up when he was arrested he was rushed to the hospital.

It looks like rehab did him good. Welcome back, John.
