Lindsay I Tried to Dress Conservative, Dammit

Published | Updated

Lindsay Lohan was adamant about NOT creating a stir today with her court outfit ... telling friends, the last thing she wanted was another white dress fiasco -- so she went the conservative route ... kind of.

Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ, the actress was deciding between a handful of outfits -- and ultimately picked the one she thought was the most reserved ... a low-cut black and white pant suit thing.

And just in case you're interested, here's today's breakdown -- Chanel top and pants, YSL shoes, Lanvin clutch, and Tres Glam jewelry.

Revealing outfit or not, the actress is desperate to save her own skin.

Deena from 'Jersey Shore' Making Her Mark

Published | Updated

She doesn't have a catchy nickname or any discernible talent, but that's not stopping "Jersey Shore" cast member Deena Nicole Cortese from positioning herself to make a little dough off her newfound fame.

TMZ has learned Deena has applied for a trademark on the name "Deena Nicole" -- and the logo shown above -- under the category of wearable garments and clothing (such as shirts, pants, hats, lingerie and outerwear).

We're told Deena doesn't have any specific deals lined up, but is just trying to be smart by securing the trademark now ... just in case.

For once it seems Snooki and Jwoww have set a good example.

Lady Gaga's Egg A Hussein Original

Published | Updated

The egg Lady Gaga was encased in at the Grammys can't be bought at a local Target -- it's a one-of-a-kind original designed by British fashion designer and artist Hussein Chalayan.

According to the designer, the "plexiglass vessel" was a collaboration between Gaga and Chalayan based on a piece of work Chalayan did for a movie back in 2003.

The vessel took over a month to construct, but only about two seconds for everyone to go, "What the hell is that?!?!?"

Justin Bieber T-Shirts -- Too Gangsta For School

Published | Updated

Move over Crips and Bloods -- Justin Bieber is so bad-ass, he can get Yonkers high school girls suspended for wearing a J.B. t-shirt, because school officials say it has "gang" written all over it.

Four teenage girls at Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY tell TMZ they attended a premiere for Justin Bieber's movie on Tuesday ... then wore their homemade t-shirts, emblazoned with "Bieber Krew," to school the next day (see above).

The girls say school security ordered them to remove the shirts or cover them up because they were "gang-related." The students say they were also threatened with suspension.

The principal then called a meeting with the girls, their parents and the security guards. One of the parents tells TMZ the principal told them the t-shirts were "inappropriate for school because they were gang-related" and the girls would be suspended if they wore them again.

One parent tells us, "It's ridiculous. They're good kids who love Justin Bieber."

A rep for the school tells TMZ, "Students at Roosevelt High School were not banned from wearing shirts displaying the image of Justin Bieber, nor were they accused of being in a gang."

Someone's fibbing.

Too bad for Lindsay ... if Sethi made crappy necklaces, it could have been a misdemeanor.
