WNBA's Brittney Griner I Wouldn't Play In Indiana 'I Don't Want to Be Discriminated Against'

Published | Updated

WNBA superstar Brittney Griner is taking a hard stand on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in Indiana -- saying if the Women's Final 4 was in the Hoosier State, she would've BOYCOTTED.

Griner -- who's openly gay and set to marry her GF Glory Johnson later this year -- was at LAX last night when she told us, "If the Women's Final Four was there, I damn sure wouldn't have went."

She added, "I wouldn't want to be discriminated [against]."

Griner says she's happy that powerful people like NCAA president Mark Emmert have openly opposed the Indiana law -- saying, "It definitely helps. When people are quiet and don't say anything about it, it doesn't help. People think it's OK."

Bruce Jenner Kris and the Girls Won't Mess Up My Big Interview

Published | Updated

Bruce Jenner will not have his spotlight jacked by Kris or the girls, because they will be thousands of miles away when his big ABC special airs.

Diane Sawyer's two hour interview -- titled "Bruce Jenner -- The Interview"-- will air April 24th, the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. We're told the women will be in Armenia, although for some reason they're saying the visit isn't tied to the anniversary.

Nonetheless, it won't be easy for the Kardashian women to throw in their two cents.

As we reported, Sawyer's interview is intimate and, we're told, really compelling. Bruce goes through everything -- from his early years identifying as a woman, to the present where he is deep into the transformation.

Rihanna Puts Indiana On Blast ... Your Law Is Bulls**t!!

Rihanna knows where Indiana lawmakers can stick their Religious Freedom Restoration Act -- and basically told 'em to their faces during a performance in the state capital.

RiRi went into political overdrive at the March Madness Music Fest over the weekend, and fired up the crowd by saying, "Who's feeling these new bulls**t laws they're trying to pass around here?"

Her rant continued with even more profanity as she launched into her hit, "Live Your Life."

Check it out -- based on the crowd's reaction ... there's strong support for the proposed changes to the law.

Indiana Pizza Guy Homophobia Pays Big

Published | Updated

The Indiana pizza guy who refused to cater gay weddings has made more in the last week than he probably made in years ... his supporters have almost made him a millionaire.

Kevin O'Connor has closed shop because of numerous threats, after he drew the line on gay marriage pizza celebrations.

O'Connor supporters started a GoFundMe account where people could give money to support O'Connor's family. The goal was to raise $25K.

As of Saturday morning ... they've hit $842,592. Nearly 30,000 people have donated money.

When the fundraising campaign ends, all the money will go right into O'Connor's bank account.

Indiana Pizza Place Forced to Close Doors After Refusing to Cater Gay Wedding

Published | Updated

Memories Pizza -- the first Indiana business to declare it would refuse LGBT business -- got blasted on the Internet and by phone, but the owner says there's been a huge misunderstanding ... sorta.

Kevin O’Connor tells TMZ he's had to temporarily close his business after he told a reporter he would refuse to cater a gay wedding under Indiana's new Religious Freedom Restoration Act. O'Connor says he was immediately flooded by threatening phone calls, and social media postings.

O'Connor wants to clear up one thing: He says he would never deny service to gay people in his restaurant. However, due to his religious beliefs, he does not believe in gay marriage ... and that's why he wouldn't service one.

Meanwhile, he says the threats have been serious enough that he's closing his pizza joint ... at least until the dust settles.

Indiana's controversial law has raised a lot of questions, not the least of which is ... what gay wedding would hire a pizza place to cater?

Burt Jenner Jamie Foxx's Bruce Jokes Desperate Attempt to Stay Relevant

Published | Updated

Burt Jenner doesn't have a problem with Jamie Foxx mocking his dad, because in Burt's mind Jamie's career is on the way down and he's just trying to imitate Kevin Hart to stay relevant.

Bruce Jenner's oldest son arrived at LAX Monday, and our photog asked about Jamie's barb at the iHeart Radio Music Awards Sunday night. Jamie said Bruce could sing a male/female duet by himself, and then added he was just busting Bruce's balls while he still had them.

Burt doesn't have a problem with the comment. But he definitely has a problem with Kevin Hart making jokes about his sisters. Kevin made a comment at the Bieber roast that Kendall was hooking up with the Biebs, as Kendall sat in the audience looking uncomfortable.

Listen to Burt ... that clearly pissed him off.

BTW, we're told all 3 of Bruce's boys have no problem with comedians making jokes about their dad's impending sex change. They say the LGBT community needs to chill ... it's just comedy.

Bisexual NFL Player 'Michael Sam Doesn't Speak for All of Us'

Published | Updated

TMZ Sports just spoke with a bisexual NFL player who's upset with Michael Sam -- telling us he was OFFENDED when Sam said other gay men in the league are less courageous because they don't want to come out.

The player -- who didn't want to be identified by name -- has played in the league for several seasons and says he's open about his sexuality with close friends.

But when the player read Sam's recent comments about gay men in the league -- he was offended.

Specifically, the player was upset when Sam said ... "I respect the players that did reach out to me and had the courage to tell me that they were also gay, but they do not have the same courage as I do to come out before I even played a down in the NFL."

The player's response -- "As a bisexual man, I just feel like Michael Sam does not speak for all gay men."

"He has his own opinion ... but DON'T say that we don't have the courage to come out. It's totally wrong. Just speak for yourself. No one else."

"It's no one's business what my sexuality is. You should like me for me ... not for who I choose to be with."

The player continued ... "I feel the NFL isn't ready for people to be open about it. Or the General Managers for that matter."

Despite those opinions, the player says he believes Sam DID get a fair shot to make a team -- "I just don't think he performed well."

Jamie Foxx Rides Bruce Jenner's Nuts

Published | Updated

Jamie Foxx killed with Bruce Jenner transition jokes at the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

Foxx hosted the award show Sunday night in L.A. ... and in his opening monologue he teased the upcoming musical acts, saying Bruce Jenner would be performing -- "He's doing a his and her duet all by himself."

The jab scored big laughs -- Chris Brown was particularly amused -- and Jamie went back for more ... hitting Bruce right in the family jewels for his next punchline.

Watch the video ... Jamie's jokes were hardly groundbreaking -- lots of comedians have been using Bruce for material -- still ... arguably insensitive.

Michael Sam Gay NFL Players Came Out to Me ... Some Are Very Famous

Published | Updated

Michael Sam says there are "a lot" of gay players in the NFL -- including "some famous people" ... but Sam says he is sworn to secrecy and will not reveal their identities.

Sam spoke with the media in Dallas on Thursday and said, "I am not the only gay person in the NFL. I'm just saying there is a lot of us."

Sam says multiple players have reached out to him and "had the courage to tell me that they were also gay, but they do not have the same courage as I do to come out before I even played a down in the NFL."

"The players who have reached out to me and told me about their sexual orientation, it just means a lot. But I will never say anything about who they are, what teams they're [on]. I'm just saying there's some famous people, and I'm not the only one."

He also expanded on why he came out at the time he did -- before the 2014 Draft -- saying, "Was it a risky move? Yes. But at that moment, the reason why I came out is I thought it wasn't going to be a big deal. Maybe I was naive. Maybe I thought it was 2014, and people will understand that there's gay NFL players."

"There's gay athletes everywhere. But I was clearly wrong. It was a huge deal."

Tara Reid I'm a Cashnado ... Rainin' Dollas On Drag Queens

Published | Updated

Some L.A. drag queens should call FEMA ... earlier this week Tara Reid blew into a gay bar like a category 5 "Sharknado," bringing a torrential downpour of dolla bills with her.

Our drag sources tell us Reid rolled into The Abbey in West Hollywood for Lip Service -- the regular Monday all drag lip-sync show -- and dropped hundreds in GW's while they belted out hits.

We're told she doled out cash from the VIP booth and the performers were more than grateful for the extra green.

But a star can only sit and watch for so long ... she eventually got up and crooned with drag queen Vicky Vox.

California won't need rain for a while.

Michael Sam I Just Signed!!! With 'Dancing with the Stars'

Published | Updated

Michael Sam will be competing in March, not on the football field, but on the "Dancing with the Stars" hardwood ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Michael -- the first openly gay player drafted in the NFL -- will be part of Season 20, which fires up next month.

Here's the problem. Sam -- who insinuated he was cut from the NFL because he is gay -- has vowed to get back in the league and said he'd take part in the first-ever veteran's combine on March 22.

But Sam needs to prove he has what it takes, and we're thinkin' some of the owners might question his commitment if he's focusing on the rumba rather than rumbling.

'Imitation Game' Screenwriter 'I'm Not Gay' HOLY CRAP!

Published | Updated

And you thought Michael Keaton not winning the Oscar was the biggest surprise ... the guy who won for Best Adapted Screenplay is not gay!

Graham Moore did an interview after the awards in which he said, "I'm not gay, but I've never talked publicly about depression before or any of that and that was so much of what the movie was about ..."

Fact is ... he never said in his acceptance speech he was gay, but everyone assumed it because the main character in the movie was gay and the torment he had to endure resulted in his suicide.

Moore said at the Oscars he had some connection to Alan Turing because both of them had issues fitting in growing up. He told BuzzFeed, "It was one of the things that drew me to Alan Turing so much, I think we all feel like weirdos for different reasons."

Moore spoke to reporters backstage and did not broach the topic of his sexuality ... even though a reporter tried to ask him about it ... without actually asking him.

Bruce to Family I Knew I Was a Woman Since Age 5

Published | Updated

Bruce Jenner recently opened up to his family that he has known since the age of 5 that he was a female.

Family sources tell TMZ, Bruce told the klan he has kept his "true self" inside since he was a child, and even during the '76 Olympics -- when he was considered the greatest male athlete in the world -- in his head he was a woman.

That said, we're told Bruce has "never been female" in front of any of his kids. As for what that means, we're told in part he never wore female attire around the children.

Bruce has not told the Kardashians what his new name will be, and we've learned he will NOT reveal it during his interview with Diane Sawyer.

Poker Legend Doyle Brunson Bruce Jenner's No Longer My Hero I'm Not Down with Sex Changes

Published | Updated

"The Godfather of Poker" Doyle Brunson says he no longer views Bruce Jenner as a hero ... all because of Jenner's decision to become a woman.

Brunson tweeted, "I can't believe Bruce Jenner is trying to become a woman? He was a hero of mine since I was involved in track long ago. #Sayitsnottrue"

Doyle continued, "this man was an Olympic champion that set all kind of records. That's a woman? My hero? Come on!" ... and his tweets triggered outrage in some.

The 81-year-old -- who's won the World Series of Poker twice -- eventually responded to the onslaught with a jab, writing, "He may still be some people's hero, but not me."

Brunson was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame, he's won 10 WSOP bracelets in his career and is considered to be one of the most influential poker players of all time.

Bruce to Daughters Please Shut Up About My Sex Change

Published | Updated

Bruce Jenner says his family leaks like a sieve, and he's to the point he doesn't trust his daughters with any info regarding his sex change ... sources connected with Bruce tell TMZ.

We're told Bruce has been irate over some of the recent leaks and blames it squarely on the big mouths of his girls. He's playing it close to the vest with the Kardashians, which is complicated because they were shooting Season 10 of the reality show.

We're told Bruce is conflicted because he knows KUWTK can fuel interest in his docuseries, but he's worried whatever he said on and off camera will get leaked, courtesy of his daughters.

And get this ... we're told Bruce has even tested his hunch with information, and it almost instantly surfaced online.

Put a cork in it girls.

Bruce Jenner Full Steam Ahead On Sex Change Docuseries

Published | Updated

Bruce Jenner's upcoming docuseries chronicling his change from a man to a woman is going full bore ... despite Saturday's fatal car crash.

Production sources say there has been absolutely no move to slow down the shooting, editing or airing of the special, which will begin airing as early as May. We're told Bruce has given no indication he's had a change of heart.

We've learned the show is being produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, which also produces "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." The company has produced a slew of reality shows, including "The Real World."

As we reported ... the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. is investigating the crash. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe Bruce was following too closely behind the Lexus he hit, sending the car into oncoming traffic. The driver was killed after colliding with a Hummer.

Bruce faces an almost certain civil lawsuit and could be prosecuted if the D.A. believes he was indeed following too closely, but as we reported such prosecutions are "very rare."
