Ex-Olympian David Hearn says President Trump's big mouth makes him wary of Jeanine Pirrodismissing his Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool vandalism case but keeping open the possibility of bringing it again ... he says it needs to go away for good, because he doesn't trust Trump to snuff out the witch hunt torches.
In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Hearn says the case against him has always been political and devoid of any strong facts ... and he says Trump is doing little to lower the temperature.
After Pirro moved to drop the charges, Trump said she "choked" under pressure ... and he continues to bang the drum that the Reflecting Pool was damaged by vandals, not shoddy installation -- as Pirro said in her papers.
The box Jeanine Pirro wheeled out of the White House wasn't from cleaning out her desk ... it was apparently evidence showing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool damage was the result of a crappy renovation, and not a vandal.
Sources familiar with the matter told CBS News Tuesday the U.S. Attorney for D.C. brought a box full of evidence that exonerated ex-Olympian David Hearn and other individuals from criminal vandalism charges, which she dropped.
The sources said Pirro brought the box to the White House on Monday in an attempt to prove to President Trump that her reversing course on prosecuting Hearn and others didn't mean she "choked."
The outlet reports the private meeting got heated at times ... but Pirro still has her job ... at least for now.

In photos posted online, workers were seen cleaning out the Reflecting Pool near the Lincoln Memorial, removing debris it had collected from the holiday festivities.
The pool appeared to be littered with ash and other remnants left behind following the night's fireworks display and the enormous crowds that packed the area.

This cleanup goes way beyond fireworks ash and debris ... there are trash bags scattered all around the Reflecting Pool, and a few bags even took an unplanned dip in the still algae-filled water.
The National Guard was nice enough to let cleanup crews through the fence, with forklifts full of supplies, so they could start making the Reflecting Pool great again. Now let's just hope nobody mistakes the workers for swimmers and slaps cuffs on them when it's time to jump in the water and finish the job!
