Well it's never gonna happen -- even though they're both Marvel characters -- and Jon Favreau explained to us the dream-crushing reason why it's impossible.

- Then suspiciously compliment him on his great performance

But piracy shmiracy -- the flick still pulled in $87 million this weekend.

At least, that's what he calls it (skip to the :45 mark to here the reference). Considering his "Wolverine" flick took in $35 million on Friday, maybe an X-Men themed nickname would have been better.

Beast? Cyclops? Nightcrawler? It doesn't even seem like he's trying.

Jane Fonda, 71, Dolly Parton, 63, and Lily Tomlin, 69, reunited in NYC last night for the opening of the Broadway adaptation of the hit film.

The last guy to beat up Rocky Balboa claims he got screwed out of some serious prize money -- and now Antonio Tarver is suing the people behind the flick for allegedly treating him like a bum!

Tarver, who played prize fighter Mason "The Line" Dixon in the film, claims he was supposed to get significant bonuses based on how much money the film made. And according to the suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Tarver says the "Rocky" people owe him at least $1.5 million.

Now, Tarver wants his cash -- plus interest. But the real question -- how the hell did that movie turn a profit?!

TMZ has obtained the receipt from Paradise Bakery in Tempe, Arizona -- where Jackman bought 67 breakfast trays and 80 gallons of coffee for a pack of "Wolverine" fans who had camped out in front of a theater the day before Monday's big premiere.

Once Jackman heard about the fans, he promised to buy them breakfast and placed the order late Sunday. We're told Jackman wanted to keep the food order simple and bought platters of bagels, muffins, and croissants.

Liev was noticeably absent from Tuesday's "Wolverine" premiere in L.A. -- and we now know he ditched the event to fly to New York to take care of his ailing son, People is reporting.

In the video, obtained by PopEater.com, Julia gets pretty damn raw -- in the Eddie Murphy sense of the word -- and she's almost as funny. Almost.

Neither of their parents have ever attempted to sell them.

Cops in India claim they have no evidence that the father of 9-year-old Rubina Ali -- one of the child stars from "Slumdog Millionaire" -- was trying to sell his daughter.

Rafiq Qureshi was accused of trying to sell Rubina for roughly $290,000 by a British newspaper that had set up an undercover operation to try and buy the young girl.

A senior police officer in India told Reuters, "So far there is no evidence of any offence, hence there is no registration of complaint and no arrest."

The choke-fest between the two women occurred after Rubina's father -- Rafiq Qureshi -- reportedly tried to squeeze around $400,000 from a reporter for Britain's News of the World, who was posing as a baby buyer.

Rubiq claims he was framed.

Sources tell TMZ Marty York -- who played the smart mouthed sidekick "Yeah-Yeah" in the flick 16 years ago -- was driving with his girlfriend in Los Angeles when they got in a heated argument. York says his GF struck him with her high heel shoe and he retaliated by punching her in the eye, causing a cut.

York says they drove home, where the argument continued. A neighbor saw the cut on the woman's eye and called the cops.

L.A. County Sheriff's deputies arrived just after 2:00 AM. They observed physical injuries to the woman and arrested York for felony corporal injury.

Being part of an Oscar winning movie can up your asking price in Hollywood. Apparently it can also up your asking price should your father decide to try and sell you.

Rubina Ali, the nine-year-old girl who was featured prominently in the Oscar winning "Slumdog Millionaire," was offered up for sale by her father to undercover reporters working for News of the World, the paper is reporting.

The young child star's asking price was roughly $295,000. According to the paper, the price started off much lower when he first began negotiating the deal. Maybe the father forgot to take DVD sales into account.

UPDATE -- Rubina's dad is flatly denying the whole thing, telling the BBC News it was just a "dirty" operation by News of the World.
