We've learned the most hopping place in the Floating City is The Gritti Palace ... a landmark waterfront hotel where a collection of Jeff and Lauren's most famous friends are staying -- and it's the place to be for wedding guests looking to party.

Sources who are there tell us Tom, Leo, Orlando, Sydney, Jerry Seinfeld, Oprah, Charissa Thompson and the Kardashians are all staying at the Gritti ... and Sydney is the "center of attention" for single guys, including TB12.

Brad Pitt is living life in the fast lane ... playing racing games while promoting his new movie in Japan in clips posted after news of the burglary at his L.A. home broke.

The actor hit an arcade in a marketing push for his movie "F1" -- out now -- over in the East Asian country ... having a blast while playing a few games with beloved actor and singer Shintaro Morimoto.

TMZ can confirm there is nothing romantic going on between Orlando and Jamie -- we're told her husband Nico Mizrahi was with them when these pics were taken -- and the three friends have been enjoying their time together during the wedding festivities in Venice.

Orlando Bloom is single and ready to mingle at the Bezos-Sanchez wedding in Italy ... and mingle he did!

Scott Wolf's request for a restraining order has been granted ... and, for the time being, his estranged wife Kelley isn't supposed to go anywhere near their kids.

The "Party of Five" star was granted the restraining order in Utah Wednesday afternoon ... with the judge noting in his decision Kelley has "engaged in an escalating pattern of behavior that poses a substantial threat or immediate and irreparable harm" to the couple's kids.

The judge awarded temporary sole physical and temporary sole legal custody of their three children ... and, until further notice, Kelley "shall not have any parent-time or contact" with Scott or the kids.
