NY Jets Owner Hammered About Tebow's VIRGINITY on CNBC

Published | Updated

NY Jets owner Woody Johnson went on CNBC's "Squawk Box" this morning to talk business -- instead, the hosts tried to get all up in Tim Tebow's business ... by asking about the QB's virginity.

Johnson was talking Jets football, when Becky Quick asked if Tebow will remain on the team next year.

But right after Johnson gives his answer, guest host Richard LeFrak chimed in and said, "Do you know ... is he still a virgin?"

Another host added, "Enquiring minds want to know." Someone else says, "We ask the tough questions."

Johnson replied, "We don't really go into that."

Tim Tebow to The Devil Stay the Hell Away from Monday Night Football

Published | Updated

Tim Tebow just pointed out a very devilish fact ... tonight's NFL matchup is the 666th Monday Night Football game ... and it just so happens, Tim's team is playing in the game.

As the NY Jets prepare for battle with the Houston Texans ... Tebow just tweeted, "Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight's 666th Monday Night Football game. Romans 8:37-39."

Before you head to Google, here's the bible quote Tim referenced:

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

We called The Devil for comment ... but he was too busy preparing for TMZ Live.

Eva Longoria I'm NOT Preggo with Mark Sanchez's Baby

Published | Updated

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is simply not reproducing ... TMZ has learned.

Despite reports that he knocked up his GF Eva Longoria, the actress' rep tells us, "Rumors of the couple being pregnant are false and absolutely not true."

Still, sources close to the couple tell us Mark is "truly serious" about his relationship with Eva ... with one person telling us it already seems like "true love."

So, for now, Mark's starting boyfriend role appears to be safe.

Rodney Harrison Bench Mark Sanchez ... IT'S TEBOW TIME!

Published | Updated

The New York Jets are NEVER going to win with Mark Sanchez ... and should unleash Tim Tebow on the NFL as soon as possible ... this according to "Football Night in America" analyst Rodney Harrison.

Rodney -- a retired NFL badass -- was in New York last night when he told us, "You gotta make the switch man ... I mean I like Sanchez, he's a cool dude, but Tim Tebow ... he's gonna give you that spark you need."

Harrison says if the Jets don't make the switch, they're doomed to a 4-12 season.

Then again, ya gotta take Rodney's advice with a grain of salt ... he used to play for the Patriots.

Old Navy Screws Up NFL Merch ... Orders Mass Destruction

Published | Updated

Old Navy was so EMBARRASSED by a batch of botched t-shirts they made ... the company resorted to emergency destruction protocols ... TMZ has learned.

Here's what happened ... Old Navy hired an third party company to design a slew of vintage pro-football themed t-shirts ... honoring classic teams like the Texans, Jets, Chiefs and Browns ... problem is the company they hired screwed up the final product.

Old Navy was left with THOUSANDS of error-filled items ... listing the wrong championship team ... the wrong year ... or even listing the wrong league (above: the Jets were AFL champs, NOT NFL champs in 1968).

TMZ obtained a memo from the corporate office to retail outlets ... telling managers to enact "standard D&D process" ... which means DESTROYING the goods and then disposing of them ASAP.

Old Navy has previously released a statement on the screw-up ... saying, “The NFL clothing sold in our Old Navy stores is created by a third party sports licensing company. It is our intention to always provide the best merchandise to our customers and NFL fans. We apologize for this error and are removing the T-shirts.”

Scotty McKnight Hayden Panettiere's BF CUT From the NY Jets

Published | Updated

Hayden Panettiere's short stint as a NY Jets fan is over ... Gang Green has officially dumped her boyfriend Scotty McKnight ... weeks before the NFL season is set to begin.

McKnight was a longshot to make the team as a wide receiver ... but we all thought he had a chance because he's tight with QB Mark Sanchez ... and the NY Jets staff must have LOVED the fact that Hayden P. was coming out to support the squad.

The fact McKnight was cut so early into the preseason still gives him a shot to sign with another team ... though there aren't that many squads looking for an average wide receiver this early in the year.

Sad ...

Antonio Cromartie I Saved My Mom's House from Foreclosure!

Published | Updated

NY Jets star Antonio Cromartie was able to cut a deal with the Bank of New York and has officially prevented the coin-carriers from snatching up the pad he bought with his mom, TMZ has learned.

As TMZ previously reported, the bank sued the footballer for not coughing up $105,381 in missed mortgage payments and wanted to foreclose on the tiny 864 sq. ft. house he bought back in Nov. '06 -- which his mother co-signed for -- in his hometown of Tallahassee, Florida.

But according to new court docs, the bank changed its tune and voluntarily dismissed the case ... which means Cromartie either paid off the debt entirely or worked out a deal to restructure the payments.

Saving the house wasn't exactly an Everest sized feat ... the Pro Bowler signed a 4-year $32 million contract with the Jets in 2011.

In other Cromartie news -- he still has 10 kids, a slew of baby mamas and 2 more wee ones on the way.

Tim Tebow Raising Hell Over "MY Jesus" Tees

Published | Updated

Tim Tebow is definitely down with Jesus ... but he ain't down with "MY Jesus" t-shirts -- and he's threatening legal action because he says a website is illegally using his name to sell the merchandise.

TMZ obtained the cease and desist letter Tebow's attorneys sent to cubbytees.com last month -- in which they claim "The Merchandise makes it appear as if Mr. Tebow actually endorses Cubby Tees and its products."

Interestingly, the tee shirts in question do not use Tebow's image or name -- but instead spell out "MY Jesus" using the colors and font of his new team ... the NY Jets. In fact, the website clearly states, "This fun design is not officially endorsed by New York's backup quarterback or the Son of God, but plays off the themes of Tebow's faith and his new team."

Still, Tebow's attorneys are demanding the site stop "any use of Mr. Tebow's name and/or likeness" -- and according to Cubby Tees, Tebow already successfully petitioned eBay to remove the tees.

The shirt makers tell TMZ they aren't backing down, and actually sent a response to team Tebow ... saying the design "shares nothing with Mr. Tebow except for promotion of a common Lord and Savior." The shirts are still for sale.

Props to terezowens.com for the heads-up on the holy war.

NFL Star Antonio Cromartie We're Foreclosing on Your Home

Published | Updated

NY Jets superstar Antonio Cromartie -- the dude with 10 kids (and 2 on the way) -- is in danger of losing the house he bought with his mom back in 2006 ... right AFTER he became a multi-millionaire ... TMZ has learned.

Cromartie is being sued by the Bank of NY ... for allegedly blowing off $105,381 in missed mortgage payments on an 864 sq. foot home he bought in his hometown of Tallahassee, Florida in November '06.

According to Zillow.com, Cromartie bought the house for $135k. Docs show he co-signed on the loan with his mom right after he was selected in the 1st round of the 2006 NFL Draft ... and they locked in on a ridiculously high 9.7% interest rate.

Bank of NY claims Antonio stopped making payments in 2010 ... and now it wants a judge to force the Pro Bowler to hand over the keys to the property AND make good on his mortgage payments ... plus interest.

We're guessing the bank is aware of the MASSIVE contract he signed with the Jets last year ... 4-years, $32 million ... which probably isn't that much considering he's got 12 mouths to feed ... plus baby mamas.

Calls to Cromartie's reps have not been returned.

Tim Tebow Hey Coach, Check Out My Toes!

Published | Updated

Tim Tebow clearly knows how to impress his new boss ... cause the NY Jets QB went out and got himself a pedicure in L.A. this week.

TMZ obtained a pic of Tebow in the chair at MB Nails in West Hollywood on Tuesday ... moments before technicians went to town on his fingers and toesies.

Sources at the salon tell us Tebow was "VERY friendly" during his $23 mani/pedi treatment ... and dropped a HUGE tip at the end.

Manicured feet are important to pro athletes ... especially when they're playing for Rex Ryan.

Jets Receiver Overjoyed to Give Tebow #15 -- The Number's CURSED!!!

Published | Updated

Tim Tebow's new teammate wasn't being generous when he willingly gave Tebow his #15 jersey -- Tebow's old number on the Broncos -- because it's CURSED ... at least according to its former owner.

In case you didn't know -- #15 on the Jets was previously worn by wide receiver Scotty McKnight, who was re-signed by the Jets just two days ago.

But Scotty doesn't have fond memories of wearing the jersey -- getting minimal playing time during last year's preseason, and eventually getting bumped to the Jets practice squad where he tore his ACL.

Now, sources close to Scotty tell us, the WR is pumped to start fresh with a new number -- and sees Tebow taking the jersey as a blessing ... relieving him of his bad luck

Good news for Hayden Panettiere too -- because she's dating the guy.

Nike Sues Reebok WE Own Tim Tebow ... NOT YOU

Published | Updated

Tim Tebow's not second-string to Nike -- because the athletic company is now suing Reebok ... over the exclusive rights to use Tebow's name on merchandise.

Nike filed a lawsuit against Reebok this week -- just one day after the Jets officially announced the Tebow trade -- and according to the suit, Reebok's new Jets merch bearing Tebow's name (above) is in violation of a 2010 Nike-Tebow endorsement deal.

According to the deal, Nike's got sole merchandising rights to all things Tebow ... and Nike alone.

A rep for Nike released a statement, claiming, “We have filed a complaint relating to unauthorized use of Tim Tebow's name on New York Jets related apparel. Nike is authorized and licensed to use Tim Tebow's name on products."

It’s unclear what apparel Nike's specifically bitching about -- but Reebok’s 10-year, $250 million apparel deal with the NFL expires this month. Nike is slated to take over in April with a 5-year deal, worth roughly $35 million a year.

As for the 2010 endorsement deal -- Nike made off like a bandit, signing Tebow before his jersey became one of the most sought-after in the league ... for $300,000 a year.

Jets Coach Rex Ryan Our Starting QB Will Be ... [Video]

Published | Updated

TMZ just spotted NY Jets head coach Rex Ryan at Newark Airport in NJ ... and we asked the million dollar question -- who will be the next starting QB for the NY Jets ... Tebow or Mark Sanchez!?!?

And BTW ... Rex actually answered.

At first, it sounded like he said, "BOTH" ... which made sense because there are rumors that the team would run a wildcat offense ... which usually features 2 QBs.

Upon further review ... we realized Rex was saying, "Bo" ... but not Te-Bow ... Bo ... as in NY Jets starting nose tackle Sione "Bo" Pouha ... a 6'3", 325-pound beast.

Nice deflection, Rex.

Tim Tebow NY Jets Players DIVIDED Over Blockbuster Trade

Published | Updated

Tim Tebow's impending arrival to the NY Jets came as a complete shock to several members of the organization ... and TMZ has learned the news has already created a rift between the players.

Sources connected to the Jets tell TMZ ... a bunch of players were working out in the gym at the Jets training facility when the news broke that Tebow had been traded.

We're told several players got into a pretty heated conversation about the move ... with multiple Jets complaining he's "overrated."

But Tebow DOES have supporters ... we're told multiple players argued that he's a good guy with real potential ... and will be a good backup for Mark Sanchez.

As one player put it, "If nothing else, he will make us a more holy squad."

Tim Tebow Converts to the NY Jets

Published | Updated

The Lord works in mysterious ways ... 'cause Tim Tebow has just been traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets ... this according to FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer.

According to Jay ... the Jets had to give up a 4th round draft pick and a 6th-round pick in exchange for the former Heisman Trophy winner ... and got an additional 7th round pick in return.

The Jets already have a starting quarterback in Mark Sanchez ... but if Sanchez chokes again ... like he did last season ... Tebow could be in a good position to take over the #1 spot.

Story developing ...
