A South Carolina man's hopes of becoming the next governor of the Palmetto State may have gone up in smoke after newly released police footage showed him blowing his stack at an officer while under arrest.

William "Mullins" McLeod Jr. -- who's thrown his hat into South Carolina's 2026 gubernatorial race -- made his unofficial acting debut on video inside a Charleston PD car during his arrest for disorderly conduct in May.

The Charleston Police Department released the shocking clip this week -- it shows the prickly pol reportedly wearing only underwear, giving the arresting officer a lot of lip.

President Trump has dispatched his army of federal agents to the gritty streets of D.C. to put an end to violent crime -- but what he's actually doing is killing the vibe for a bunch dudes just chilling out, with one just havin' a smoke ... according to a new video.

The footage was shot in the nation's capital and posted Tuesday to X, and appears to show federal law enforcement officers, flashlights at the ready, approaching a bunch of guys resting their rumps on cement stairs.

They ask to see the ID of one man who they think is smoking -- wait for it -- a joint! Ooooo! But once they find out it's just a cigarette, the agents don't pursue the matter any further and move on to other quality of life issues.

After police confirmed the identity of the suspect in the Atlanta rapper's shooting death as the son of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost ... they're now looking into the possibility he acted in self-defense following a domestic dispute.

Law enforcement says ... their ongoing investigation indicates a "domestic disturbance" occurred at the location of the shooting -- a residence in unincorporated Snellville, Georgia. A female victim sustained physical injuries during the dispute.

TMZ obtained the incident report from the rapper's slaying ... and the Gwinnett County Police Department says their primary murder suspect is Ky Lasheed Frost. T-Hood's mom also told TMZ ... the alleged killer is the son of Kirk and Rasheeda.

As we reported ... T-Hood was shot at his Georgia home Friday, and he later died.

The gunman who fatally shot a cop after opening fire on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters in Atlanta ... reportedly had a beef with the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the New York Times ... 30-year-old Patrick Joseph White believed he got sick after taking the COVID-19 shot and had an unhealthy fixation on the vaccine, prompting his dad to call authorities to report his son was suicidal.

CNN also cited sources who said the shooter may have targeted the CDC over personal health concerns he blamed on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Emilie Kiser's husband, Brady Kiser, knew their 3-year-old son, Trigg Kiser, was playing in their Arizona home's backyard before he fell into the pool and drowned in May.

A Chandler Police Department report obtained by TMZ reveals Brady admitted to law enforcement he saw his toddler playing outside -- and near the pool -- calling it a common activity for him.

He said ... "He loved to be outside, he loved to play outside, and so in my mind it was, you know, just that of him going and doing as he routinely had other times going out to play, the difference was I was the only parent home."

4:10 PM PT -- The shooter who opened fire near Emory University is dead, according to police in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Police Department says, "There is no ongoing threat to the Emory campus or the surrounding neighborhood. The incident involved a single shooter, who is now deceased."

APD says one law enforcement officer was injured during the police response.

Cops are now asking folks to avoid the area as they investigate.

An army of police officers just descended on the area around Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, after reports of an active shooter -- and social media videos capture the sounds of rapid gunfire.

Emory University officials sent out an alert at about 5 PM local time., advising students to "RUN, HIDE, FIGHT. Avoid the area."

One of the focal points of the shooting is a CVS store, where CNN got footage of what appeared to be a wounded uniformed cop being carried out on a stretcher into a waiting ambulance.

9:04 PM PT -- Terrell Suggs' rep, Denise White, said in a statement to TMZ Sports on Friday ... "There was an incident at a Starbucks drive-through in which Terrell attempted to safely back out of the lane when the individual behind him became hostile and falsely accused Terrell of making contact with his vehicle, which did not occur."

"The situation escalated when the individual exited his car and approached Terrell in a confrontational manner. Notably, the individual had not placed an order in the Starbucks line, which led Terrell to believe he might continue to follow him, causing Terrell to feel threatened."

"At no point," she continued, "did Terrell point a firearm at the individual. He made it clear that he was prepared to protect himself if necessary. Arizona is an open carry state, and Terrell is aware of the responsibilities that come with firearm ownership. He recognizes that he should not have displayed his weapon, but his actions were solely in response to feeling threatened and were not intended to escalate the situation further."

TMZ Sports has obtained the video of the Starbucks dispute that led to Terrell Suggs' arrest last year ... and in the footage, you can see the ex-NFL superstar did indeed brandish a gun during the tiff.

Dean Cain says he joined up with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement because he wants to support all of the law enforcement officers who are being vilified for doing their jobs.

We spoke with the actor on "TMZ Live" Thursday ... and, we asked him why he decided to go from actor to immigration officer -- a move that only worked out when ICE removed its age restriction.

Dean says he's got a lot of respect for law enforcement ... especially these officers who are caught up in the controversy surrounding the sweeping raids they're conducting.
