Reporters are trying their damnedest to get Travis Kelce to slip up and reveal whether he plans to put a ring on Taylor Swift's finger ... but the Chiefs superstar is giving a masterclass in evading the topic -- sidestepping several questions with ease during Super Bowl week.

The 35-year-old tight end was asked if he's recently gone diamond shopping during his availability on Wednesday ... an eye roll-inducing attempt at finding out whether he's been thinking about proposing to his pop icon girlfriend.

Kelce sniffed it out right away ... and played dumb when sharing his take on whether diamonds are a "good investment."

The quarterback was asked about No. 47's expected presence in NOLA for his matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles ... and the honor isn't lost on him.

According to Gametime -- a ticket resale app -- get-in prices for this weekend's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup are trending downward.

The lowest ticket cost is $4,339 -- and while that's a small fortune to most ... it is down from $5,860 last Friday and from $6,375 on Jan. 27.

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl on Sunday, don't count on seeing Andy Reid riding off into any sunsets ... his good buddy, Dick Vermeil, tells TMZ Sports there's no chance the coach retires following the big game.

At 66 years old and with over three decades of work in the NFL, there's been some question as to whether or not Reid could hang up his headset if he hoists yet another Lombardi Trophy ... but Vermeil says it just won't happen.

The former Kansas City head coach tells us Reid's still in love with the game ... and he's locked into a long-term contract as well.

The Cleveland Browns' franchise player is asking for a change of scenery ... with Myles Garrett publicly requesting a trade so he can pursue a Super Bowl championship.

The defensive superstar laid out his wishes in a statement on Monday ... saying his dream has always been to compete for a title -- and his goals won't allow him to be "complacent."

"The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl," Garrett said in a statement.

Looks like Taylor Swift will be rolling stag to this weekend's Grammys ... TMZ Sports has learned her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, isn't making it out to Hollywood for the big event.

The Kansas City Chiefs star instead, sources familiar with the situation tell us, will be sticking with his team ... as it continues its preparations for its Super Bowl matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.

Kelce's planned absence, of course, should surprise nobody ... as he also skipped out on being Taylor's plus-one for last year's Grammys -- in order to prep for the Chiefs' SB game against the 49ers.

The Philadelphia Eagles apparently have a helluva football team AND hearts of gold ... 'cause they just revealed they're gifting Super Bowl tickets to a New Orleans terror attack survivor.

The team -- which will face Kansas City in the Big Game on Feb. 9 -- surprised the man, Ryan Quigley, with the sweet present this week at their NovaCare Complex.

Quigley -- a college football player and huge Eagles fan -- suffered a broken leg and back, among other injuries, when a terrorist sped a truck through crowds on Bourbon Street on New Year's Day. His best friend, Tiger Bech, was tragically killed during the incident.
