Tying The Knot

Donald Trump's Chicago hotel is suing an NFL player and his bride for allegedly stiffing the hotel on a big wedding bill, but it seems from the lawsuit something went wrong during the reception.

Tennessee Titans linebacker Justin Staples tied the knot with Amber last June and, judging from the video, the reception was fun and lovely. They even had Afterglow Snacks, which, based on the menu, may have included cheeseburger sliders, buffalo wings, fried mac and cheese bites and BBQ spiced waffle fries.

Justin and Amber apparently drove a hard bargain before the wedding, because Trump International Hotel and Tower dropped their proposed fee to $79,484.

According to the lawsuit, Justin and Amber paid $30k, but that was it.

Now, here's a big clue. According to the lawsuit, at the end of the reception, the hotel slashed another $5,062.13 from the bill, so it seems like something happened ... maybe food wasn't served, the cake was wonky, the bar ran out of liquor, the joint shut down too early ... something.

Donald Trump isn't Vince Vaughn ... or Owen Wilson ... he's a guy with a legit wedding invite who showed up to honor a bride and groom he knows very well.

Newlyweds Carl Henry Lindner IV and Vanessa Jane Falk tell TMZ ... Vanessa's parents have been members at Mar-a-Lago for years, and her dad personally invited President Trump to their wedding last weekend. Trump told him he'd do his best to make an appearance ... if he was in town.

The couple says they didn't expect the prez to show, but lo and behold he was in town with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe ... who came along for the party, but only after they'd dealt with the North Korea crisis. We're told the world leaders rolled up in the presidential limo while the wedding party was taking pics. Great timing.

Carl and Vanessa say the prez hung out for about 30 minutes and even made a speech.

Lindner's family used to be majority owner of the Chiquita banana brand, and his dad is co-CEO of American Financial Group -- so yeah ... they've got Trump-esque pockets too.

Mariah Carey and Elton John got hired for a wedding gig over the weekend ... and it wasn't cheap.

The singers raked in $4.2 million after a Russian billionaire, Valery Kogan, footed the bill for his granddaughter's wedding over the weekend in London. The astonishing 9 hour reception at The Landmark hotel featured Mimi dedicating "We Belong Together" to the new couple.

The bride -- 19 year old Irene Kogan -- and her hubby requested Mariah's appearance. She was flown in from the U.S.

Sir Elton John kicked things off with an impressive 12 song set. And listen to Mariah ... she sounds fantastic.

Chicago Cubs superstar Kris Bryant is already killing in 2017 ... dude just married his high school sweetheart in a massive Vegas wedding -- packed with teammates and other MLB superstars.

The 25-year-old 3rd baseman swapped "I Dos" with Jessica Delp -- his girlfriend since high school -- at the J.W. Marriott in Sin City.

Some of the guests included Cubs' teammates Anthony Rizzo, Jason Heyward, John Lackey and Justin Grimm. Bryce Harper -- who also grew up in Vegas -- was there, too.

Bryant and Delp got engaged in 2015, he won the World Series and NL MVP in 2016 and is now married in 2017.

Serena Williams just showed the world her new engagement ring ... and it's massive.

Williams posted the pic Thursday with new fiance and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and -- while it's not a super close-up of the rock -- you can tell she's sporting some serious bling.

The couple announced their engagement last week ... but somehow the diamond hasn't seen the light of day until now.

NASCAR's golden boy tied the knot Saturday night to Amy Reimann, who he got engaged to last June. The ceremony went down at Childress Vineyards in North Carolina, and Dale looks like he couldn't have been happier to ring in 2017 with a pair of wedding bands.

A big chunk of the NASCAR community was there too -- from Chocolate Myers and Danica Patrick to Bubba Wallace -- to wave in their star driver toward the finish line. Congrats!

Skateboarding legend Brian Anderson is a married man!!

After going public with his sexual orientation in September, Anderson tied the knot with his longtime boyfriend Wednesday in New York.

"Thanks to all who fought for the same sex marriage act in New York and everywhere else in the nation and world wide," Anderson posted on Instagram.

"We are very grateful! The world has a ways to go. Let's keep pushing..."

The couple met in the fall of 2015 and were engaged at the time Anderson came out.

Bryce Harper is officially a married man ... after tying the knot at one of the most famous Mormon temples in the world!

The Washington Nationals superstar traded "I Dos" with his longtime girlfriend Kayla Varner -- a former BYU soccer player -- at the San Diego California Temple ... the 3rd LDS temple ever built in California.

It rained on the wedding day ... but it only made for cooler photos!

Betcha didn't think you'd be jealous of a Cleveland Browns player ... but that's all about to change.

Here's Valeriya Kuklishyna -- the Ukrainian model Cody Kessler proposed to last weekend in Cleveland -- and considering the Browns' 0-13 record ... she just might be the highlight of the season.

And now there's one more thing Michael Phelps does better than everyone else -- his big wedding to Nicole was captured in a Hollywood-style video.

The folks over at Brides got a hold of the video, which set the stage for the Olympic legend's Cabo wedding back in October. You get to see Nicole and Michael prepping for the ceremony, and the setting is downright epic.

The entire production is gold medal-worthy. Naturally.

Erin Andrews is officially engaged -- she told us so -- and has the bling on her finger to prove it too.

We got Erin at LAX ... she just got back from watching the Packers beat down the Seahawks in Green Bay, and she's finally confirmed she's getting hitched to NHL free agent Jarret Stoll.

Erin played it coy when it comes to wedding day plans, but at least we have more details than emojis can provide ... like who she wants to cater the event.

Apollo Nida and his new chick celebrated their engagement by posing like a couple of kids at prom ... while he's doing hard time in a federal prison, and TMZ got the pics.

Nida slipped into his best prisoner khakis this past November during a visit from his gf-turned-fiancée -- and smiled for the camera in front of one of those backdrops you'd see at a photo studio. It's a service provided by the prison. Who knew?

As we reported, Apollo proposed to the mystery woman a few months ago. We're told 'RHOA' producers want to keep her name under wraps because she'll be part of the new season. She'll be on camera and he'll be on the phone, obviously.

One thing missing from the romantic shots -- an engagement ring.

Not to worry, we're told she went back for a visit last week, and this time she left with this non-sparkler, which appears to be a hair-tie/paper towel makeshift ring.

Matthew Lewis had already transformed from nerdy Neville Longbottom to a Hollywood hottie, and now his life's about to change even more -- the 'Harry Potter' star is engaged.

Lewis popped the question to Angela Jones last month, and she said yes to being his real-life Hannah Abbott. We're told Angela's an event planner at Universal Studios in Orlando, which is where she met Matt ... at a Wizarding World event in January.

The engagement went down in Paris -- très romantique.

This will be Matt's first marriage, and Angela's second. BTW, she just got divorced in July.
