On Wednesday night, Newsom's rep issued a statement, saying the governor deeply admires Halle's advocacy and looks forward to working with her on this "critical issue." The rep added Newsom vetoed the bill because it would have "unintentionally raised health care costs for millions of working women and working families already stretched thin."

But, Newsom changed his tune a bit when our cameraman caught up with him Thursday at Newark International Airport in New Jersey, where he ironed out some of the confusion around his skirmish with Halle.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz says his home is being hit by a non-stop barrage of drive-bys ... but instead of bullets ... nasty words are shooting out of the cars -- namely, the R-word.

Walz says people keep driving by his house shouting the R-word at him ... and he's noticed it happening more and more since President Trump called him that specific slur in a recent social media post.

Trump was given a chance to walk back the statement last week, but he doubled down and told reporters, "I think there is something wrong with him."

President Donald Trump is pre-emptively pardoning U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar, a sitting Democratic Representative from Texas who's been federally charged with bribery and money laundering.

Cuellar and Imelda were indicted in 2024 with accepting $600,000 in bribes from a gas and oil company owned by the Azerbaijani government and a bank based in Mexico City. The results of President Donald Trump's MRI scan in October have been released -- and The White House says everything came back fine.

White House Physician Sean P. Barbabella released a memo Monday saying all of 47's imaging was "perfectly normal," according to NBC News. We now know the MRI was performed to check up on Trump's cardiovascular system and abdomen, after Trump told reporters Sunday night he didn't know which part of his body was examined.

Barbabella stated Trump's heart was pumping blood just fine, and all of his major organs appeared to be in good condition as well.

The president's MRI was described as "preventative," and was performed in an effort to identify any outstanding issues with 47's overall health.

Trump revealed he'd gone through an MRI in October, provoking concern -- sitting U.S. presidents typically only have one physical exam per year. He assured reporters at the time he was completely fine.

A lower court ruling disqualifying Alina Habba from her position as acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey has been upheld by an appeals court, it was announced Monday.

The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals found Habba's appointment violated the Federal Vacancies Reform Act ... President Donald Trump's appointment of Habba didn't adhere to the rules, NBC News reports.

Three criminal defendants whose case was being overseen by Habba filed motions arguing her appointment had been unlawful and sought her disqualification -- and for their cases to be thrown out.
