Ex-NFL star Chad Johnson was scolded for taking his domestic violence case lightly in court ... and now the photos of her face after the crime are a harsh reminder of just how serious it was. Is Chad getting the message?
Plus, Lil Wayne's excuse for walking on the U.S. flag sounds like he's punkin' out ... to us. Is Weezy backing down from his protest song -- just because of the outrage?
Sad news for "Terminator 3" star Nick Stahl -- TMZ has learned, the actor was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold last night after being taken to an L.A. hospital.
Sources tell us, Stahl -- who has long struggled with drugs, alcohol, and other personal issues -- was transported to the medical facility around 3:30 AM this morning by a friend ... it's unclear why.
Details about circumstances of the psychiatric hold are also unclear.
It's a huge bummer ... we spoke to Stahl just last month, and he told us he was finally focused on turning his life around.
49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is totally jacked up for next season -- after losing the Super Bowl this year -- showing off his beefy man arms in a black tank top today during a sunny stroll in L.A.
Good thing the shirt's got plenty of neck room. Wouldn't wanna choke ...
Charlie Sheen has told "Anger Management" producers -- FIRE SELMA BLAIR ASAP OR ELSE HE'S QUITTING THE SHOW ... TMZ has learned.
We broke the story -- Charlie has been on a mission to get Selma 86'd from the show because he believes she's been complaining about him behind his back ... trashing his work ethic.
Now, sources tell TMZ ... Charlie returned to work Monday and told producers he wants the termination process started TODAY ... or else he'll walk.
It's a big threat from Charlie -- who's set to make between $75 and $200 MILLION if he completes the 100 episode order for "Anger Management" ... depending on how it does in syndication. We're told Charlie's completed roughly half of the 100 episode order.
We're told Charlie understands that there can be complications with firing someone from a TV show ... but he wants producers to begin drawing up an exit strategy for Blair by the end of the day.
Sources connected to the production tell us ... Selma was not on set yesterday, though it's unclear if she was scheduled to work.
This morning, Blair was spotted out on a walk with her kid -- and when asked about her potential termination from "Anger" she just shook her head and replied, "I don't know anything."
We're told FX network execs are currently in talks about how to handle the situation ... but it's unclear if Blair's fate has been decided.
After days of ridicule, Miss Utah finally had a chance to redeem herself on the "Today" show this AM -- and this time she answered the infamous pageant question WITH FLYING COLORS!!! For a beauty queen.
Marissa Powell sat down with Matt Lauer and explained -- as TMZ previously reported -- that nerves got the best of her during Sunday night's Miss USA contest ... causing her to give one of the most confusing answers in pageant history.
Matt, being the saint he is, gave Marissa ONE MORE SHOT to get the question right ... see how she did this time. And remember folks she only had 48 hours, the Internet and a team of people to help her prepare.
Rapper J. Cole was extorted by a sick fan who tweeted a photo of a little girl with a gun to her head ... and claimed he would shoot her if Cole did not respond to his message.
The fan tweeted last night "@JColeNC retweet me and I'll buy Born Sinner. Don't retweet me and I'll kill my lil sister."
Shortly after the threatening tweet, which refers to Cole's new album ... Cole did indeed retweet the message.
It's unclear if the gun is real or where the twisted bastard behind the tweet actually lives. The account, which we're not revealing, claims to be out of Saudi Arabia -- but the truth is it could be anywhere in the world.
We reached out to police in North Carolina -- where J. Cole lives -- to see if they were investigating ... but they hadn't heard anything about it.
We also contacted Twitter headquarters ... a rep said the company doesn't comment on individual accounts to protect privacy
This morning J. Cole commented about the incident, saying ... "Wildest s**t I ever seen on twitter."
11:15 AM PT The fan is now downplaying his tweet by claiming it's a BB gun in the photo -- apparently, oblivious to the fact even a BB gun could seriously harm a child at that range.
Well this is bizarre -- a man was arrested last night for tiptoeing around Rihanna's roof ... but lucky for the singer, security guards nabbed the guy before he made it much further.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, private security guards near Rihanna's Pacific Palisades property called police just after 10 PM, reporting they had detained the 26-year-old alleged trespasser. Guards then held the man until officers arrived, and turned him over. The man was subsequently placed under arrest.
We're told the man was adamant ... he did NOT know it was Rihanna's house he was creeping around -- though cops tell us he had a Google map of the area pulled up on his phone. (Maybe he just got really lost???)
Bail was set $2,882. He's still in custody.
According to the L.A. Times -- which broke the story -- Rihanna wasn't home at the time ... she's in the U.K. on her Diamonds World Tour.
It's been a wild year for Rihanna's L.A. pad -- she was swatted in April ... and there was also that guy who tried to break into her house and sleep in her bed. The perks of being famous.
Lil Wayne is lying through his diamond-encrusted teeth ... claiming he didn't INTENTIONALLY step on the American flag during a video shoot ... despite the fact he can be seen looking down on Old Glory several times during the performance.
Wayne just tweeted about his controversial video shoot for "God Bless Amerika" in New Orleans ... saying, "I didn't step on the flag on purpose! It's a scene in a video where the flag drops behind me and after it drop it's just there as I perform."
Translation -- I swear it was an accident ... please don't hate me.

Problem is ... during the video, you can see Wayne look down on the flag at several points in the shoot ... yet continues to trample all over the stars and stripes.
Advertising mogul Charles Saatchi -- one of the biggest art collectors in the world -- was given an official "caution" by London police after photos emerged showing the 70-year-old CHOKING HIS WIFE with his bare hands.
The story is exploding in the U.K. ... after photos surfaced showing Saatchi with his hands wrapped tightly around the neck of his wife Nigella Lawson -- a celebrity chef who recently appeared on "The Taste."
The photos were taken while Saatchi and Lawson were having dinner last week at Scott’s in Mayfair -- a very posh London restaurant.
Saatchi insisted he wasn't trying to hurt Lawson -- claiming they were merely in the middle of a "playful tiff." The look of sheer terror on Lawson's face says otherwise ...
Saatchi also said, "The pictures are horrific but give a far more drastic and violent impression of what took place. Nigella’s tears were because we both hate arguing, not because she had been hurt."
Lawson has reportedly left the couple's home with her children -- though Saatchi insists he sent her away to escape the media blitz until "the dust settled."
Les Moonves knows good TV when he sees it -- but he can also spot a turd ... and the CBS honcho told TMZ the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards show was a bona fide stinker.
Les had his own table at the award show Sunday night ... where he watched disaster after disaster unfold on the stage ... culminating with producers giving Aisha Tyler the WRONG ENVELOPE to open during the Best Talk Show presentation.
"You know what ... it wasn't a very well produced show and you can put that on the air," Moonves tells TMZ.
But there was a silver lining for Mr. Moonves -- check out the video to see why Les was THRILLED after the show.
Justin Bieber was under investigation for a possible hit and run accident involving a paparazzo overnight -- but police have now cleared him of any wrongdoing ... TMZ has learned.
Justin was leaving the Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard around 11:45 PM in his infamous white Ferrari. His pal Lil Twist was there as a passenger, and several paps were on scene shooting the duo.
Once Justin got behind the wheel he motioned for some of the photogs to clear out of the way -- but when he drove off he appeared to pin one of them between the Ferrari and a parked car.
Justin did not stop.
LAPD launched an investigation and interviewed Justin a few hours after the incident ... and he told cops he didn't know he hit the photographer (not a TMZ employee).
Police say the photog was not seriously hurt, but was at fault because he was a pedestrian in the roadway.
Chad Johnson headbutted ex-wife Evelyn Lozada so hard during their infamous domestic dispute last year, she was left with a massive bloody gash on her forehead -- and TMZ has obtained photographic evidence.
The photos were taken by Davie Police in the Florida emergency room where Evelyn was transported following Chad's attack on August 11th, 2012. According to police, the forehead laceration measured 3 inches.
TMZ broke the story ... Johnson was arrested for domestic violence shortly after the explosive argument at his Jupiter, FL mansion. Evelyn filed for divorce three days later.
Following the arrest, Chad pled "no contest" to the domestic violence charge and was sentenced to 12 months probation and domestic violence classes.
Chad was thrown back in the slammer last week after slapping his lawyer's backside during a sentencing hearing.
He was released again yesterday following a probation violation sentencing hearing. During the hearing, the judge called the head gash photos "horrific."
We reached out to Evelyn's rep who had no comment on the photos. Calls to Chad's camp weren't returned.
Drake claims Chris Brown refuses to bury the hatchet in their long-running and violent feud ... and what's more -- Drake says, "I get a feeling it could end really badly."
Drake had finally broken his silence about his war with Brown to GQ... even talking about the bloody bar fight that went down inside W.i.P. in NYC last June.
“I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name," Drake says ... "I really don’t. I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man."
He continues ... "But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down."
Drake says he's "embarrassed" by the media coverage ... saying, "Two rappers fighting over the woman. He’s not even a rapper, but still, it’s the last way you want your name out there."
And then comes Drake's dark prediction ... saying the feud "distracts from the music. But he’s made me the enemy, and that’s the way it’s gonna stay, I guess."
"If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly.”
