Todd Marinovich Back In Rehab ... After Strange Meth Arrest

EXCLUSIVE

Ex-NFL player Todd Marinovich is back in rehab ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We spoke to Marinovich's lawyer, Adam Cole, who tells us the former USC star checked himself into a Southern California treatment center this week.

As we previously reported, Marinovich was charged with several crimes -- including meth possession and public nudity -- after cops found him naked in a stranger's backyard back in August.

The ex-QB was scheduled to appear in court this week, but couldn't attend the hearing because he's getting treatment. Cole says he'll give the District Attorney proof that Marinovich is at a rehab facility.

This isn't Marinovich's first time getting help -- he's been to rehab numerous times for substance abuse issues.

EXCLUSIVE

Lamar Odom checked himself into rehab out of fear he'd go on a major bender as his deceased son's birthday approached ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Lamar's son, Jayden, was born Dec 15, 2005, but died the following June from SIDS. We're told his son's death was the primary reason he started doing hardcore drugs ... and he was keenly aware the birthday might push him over the edge again.

As we reported, our Lamar sources say he went to a San Diego area facility late last week.

We're told Lamar's also struggling with the fact his divorce from Khloe will be final on Saturday, and he didn't want to be tempted to use.

Lamar is shooting for a 60 day rehab stint. He bailed after 3 weeks when he attempted rehab in 2012.

Kid Cudi Checks Into Rehab

10/4/2016 10:02 PM PDT
Breaking News

Kid Cudi has checked himself into rehab for depression and suicidal thoughts.

The rapper entered Monday, saying he hasn't felt at peace for years and made the decision to get help for himself, his family, his best friend/daughter and his fans. Cudi continues, "I would've done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life."

Cudi says his upcoming music will still be released as planned and he wanted to finish up all business before starting to focus on his recovery.

You'll remember ... Cudi lashed out at mentor Kanye West and Drake last month for not working with him and using others to write songs. 'Ye responded to the rapper at a recent show, telling him to "Respect the God!"

It's interesting -- it was announced in early September Cudi was to be replaced by Romeo on "Empire" -- but it's unclear if his depression played a part in that decision. We spoke with Romeo at LAX who said the move was strictly business and there were no hard feelings between the two.

KC finished his announcement with, "I really am sorry. Ill be back, stronger, better. Reborn. I feel like s***, I feel so ashamed. Im sorry."

EXCLUSIVE

Jay Glazer says he genuinely cares for troubled NFL star Josh Gordon -- and says if there's anyone who can help him deal with his addiction issues, it's his good friend Demi Lovato.

FYI, Gordon trained at Glazer's Unbreakable gym in West Hollywood earlier this year and the two became friends. In fact, Jay says he was texting with Gordon on Friday -- right before we spotted him out.

"I really do like the kid a lot," Jay said ... "addiction is a disease. It's hard."

Glazer is also tight with Lovato -- who has been open about her own substance abuse issues ... and has gone on to become a co-owner of a rehab center in Los Angeles.

Jay says he's incredibly impressed with the work Demi's CAST Centers does for people -- especially when it comes to mental health ... and strongly believes it could do wonders for Gordon.

Glazer even reached out to Gordon and offered to put the two in touch.

No word if he'll take Jay up on the offer -- but Gordon has said he does plan to get help somewhere ... a plan Jay fully supports.

Aldon Smith has entered a treatment center ... multiple sources connected to the NFL star confirm to TMZ Sports.

Unclear exactly what Smith is seeking treatment for -- but the move comes days after the Oakland Raiders star denied being in a video that appeared to show him with a blunt.

The video surfaced over the weekend -- and while you NEVER see the man's face in the footage -- you can hear a voice that sounds like Smith ... talking about a "fire up session."

At one point in the video, you hear the man's voice say, "They don't know it's me. It's not like I put 'Aldon Smith.'"

Smith has been to rehab before -- completing a stint in 2013 following two DUI arrests.

Andy Dick has come so far from the depths of his addiction -- when he was getting arrested all the time -- that he's now doing extensive work for a recovery center.

TMZ has learned Andy is a spokesperson for SOBA ... where he's been getting outpatient treatment for 18 months.

SOBA's Founder and CEO, Greg Hannley, says Andy's become an unofficial staff member, promoting the center on local TV appearances, in magazines and he even has one-on-one meetings with other patients ... who tend to open up to him.

The gig doesn't pay -- Hannley says it's simply Dick's way of paying it forward.

Andy tells us this is the first time he's been excited about sobriety and he's never felt better. SOBA was his 20th rehab stint.

EXCLUSIVE

WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch -- aka Sunny -- says she's been booze-free for 90 DAYS and loves the feeling of being clean so much, she doesn't want to leave rehab!

As we previously reported, the first WWE Diva entered rehab back in March following a string of DUI arrests.

We spoke with Tammy who says she knew she was in a bad place -- both mentally and physically -- and needed help. So, with the help of the WWE, she checked into rehab ... where she's been recovering for the past 3 months.

Tammy says it's the best decision she's ever made -- her days are filled with counseling, self-reflection and various physical activities including rock climbing, camping and ropes courses.

We're told the rehab runs about $40k per month -- and the WWE has covered the past 2 months for Sytch ... and she's incredibly grateful.

"They've been awesome. They just want to see me get better."

As for her plans once she leaves rehab, Sytch says she's still open to working with Vivid (the porn company) ... but says one thing's for sure -- SHE'S DONE WITH ALCOHOL.

Good luck!

Lamar Odom New Rehab Tactic No Confrontation ... It's All Love

6/4/2016 12:50 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Lamar Odom flatly rejected the "tough love" intervention, so his other family is trying a different approach ... TLC.

We're told Lamar's aunt, cousin and other New York family members spoke with Lamar Friday, telling him they have faith in him and love him. They say they're trying to boost his self-esteem and open him up to joining a rehab program.

As we reported, Khloe, members of her family and Lamar's L.A. friend have tried several interventions without success.

We're told the family has contacted both in and outpatient facilities -- in Malibu and other areas -- hoping he'll agree. So far he has not.

The family knows an outpatient facility is dicey, and most doctors say it won't work with addiction at his level.

TMZ broke the story ... Lamar appears to be in a full tailspin after drug paraphernalia -- including crack pipes -- were recently found at his home.

Lamar Odom Crack Pipes In Home Friends Confront Him Over Alleged Drug Use

6/3/2016 1:00 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Lamar Odom's family and friends believe he's back on hard drugs -- and tell us they recently confronted the NBA star and questioned him about crack pipes in his home.

Odom's history with crack is well-documented -- but people close to him thought he'd been scared straight after he overdosed at a Nevada brothel back in October.

But multiple sources close to Odom -- hoping to get through to the NBA star -- tell us he's been acting very strange lately. His friends are convinced he's off the wagon, and for the last few weeks they've been trying to get through to him.

So, a group of people went to his home to convince him to enter rehab -- but Odom scoffed ... telling the group he doesn't need any help. It sounds just like the failed intervention attempt from 2013

During the confrontation, which took place at Odom's home in Calabasas, we're told his friends noticed drug paraphernalia scattered all over the place ... including crack pipes, baggies and roaches.

We're told the fear is that Odom believes he's invincible -- as evidenced by the fact he's been hitting bars and drinking while still recovering from the damage he suffered from the overdose

We reached out to Odom for comment -- so far, no word back.

5/29/2016 12:40 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

NOFX frontman Fat Mike entered -- and quickly exited -- a detox facility this week.

Reports surfaced Monday that Mike entered rehab to get sober -- but sources close to him say that's only half true.

What really went down is Mike voluntarily checked into an L.A. facility to ween himself off a 2x daily Percocet habit after experiencing prolonged stomach pain -- docs treated, then released him 6 days later.

We're told the punk legend says he has no intention to tone down the punkness. He's not sobering up ... it's just a "mini break" for the sake of his health ... then back to the drugs and booze.

Fat Mike's been open about his vices -- his band just released 'Hepatitis Bathtub,' a book about drug abuse.

Breaking News

Johnny Manziel has gotten an ultimatum from his agent -- go to rehab ... or find a new agent.

After TMZ Sports broke the story that Manziel was the passenger in an alleged hit-and-run incident over the weekend, Manziel's agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter he's laid down the gauntlet with the QB.

"I have terminated the standard representation with Johnny Manziel in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs," Rosenhaus said.

"I have informed him that if he takes the immediate steps I have outlined for him that I will rescind the termination and continue to represent him. Otherwise the termination will become permanent."

"There is a five-day window for me to rescind the termination. I’m hoping he takes the necessary steps to get his life back on track."

Manziel was dropped by his previous agent Erik Burkhardt for similar reasons. Manziel did get treatment last year for an unspecified issue -- but later insisted he did NOT have a drinking problem.
