Magic and Doc

Hit Baseball Game with New Clips Owner

8/20/2014 6:32 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Here's a photo of the new L.A. Clippers owner in a public photo with TWO black people.

Take THAT Donald Sterling!

Steve Ballmer
hit up the L.A. Dodgers game with Magic Johnson and Clippers President Doc Rivers last night.

It's interesting ... considering it was a photo featuring Magic Johnson that led to Donald Sterling's downfall ... when he blasted V. Stiviano for posting a photo of Magic on social media.

In audio posted on TMZ Sports, Sterling screamed at Stiviano for being seen in public with black guys and told her not to bring any black people to his games.

Earlier this week, Sterling himself admitted -- "I'm finished. I'm over."

Ernie Johnson

My Shaq Impression

8/20/2014 6:16 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Who knew Ernie Johnson had impressions?!?!

Turns out, the "Inside the NBA" host can do one helluva "Shaq" -- nailing his co-host during an event for the NBA2K15 video game ... and it was all caught on video.

Johnson was talking about how he and Shaq would work together on some motion capture stuff for the game -- when he seamlessly dropped one of the best Shaq impressions we've heard ... maybe ever.

OK, he's no Aries Spears ... but not bad for an amateur [WARNING -- the Spears clip has some explicit language].

Kris Humphries

Still Rockin' Celtics Gear

... After Trade to Wizards

8/19/2014 9:23 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Here's a question -- if an NBA team trades you away to another squad after one season, do you still rock their gear out in public?

Ya do if you're Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian's ex-husband was out in L.A. sportin' his Celtics sweat pants yesterday -- despite the fact the team shipped him out to the Washington Wizards back in July.

Kris didn't seem too bothered by the issue when our guy asked him about the fashion decision -- but people like Allen Iverson got crushed when he rocked another team's gear out in public while he was playing for the 76ers.

More recently, 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick took all sorts of heat for rockin' a Miami Dolphins hat.

So, was Kris out of line ... or just out of clean clothes?

Dwyane Wade

Chicago Can Be Cold

Foreclosure Imminent!

8/19/2014 1:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Dwyane Wade
reportedly makes around $30 million a year -- his estimated worth is approximately $100 mil -- which makes it pretty shocking his $1.2 million Chicago pad is in foreclosure.

According to legal docs -- obtained by TMZ Sports -- Wade stopped making payments on the $225K mortgage ... the docs don't say how much he's behind.

The house is located in South Holland, a Chicago suburb. It's massive -- 7,800 square feet, 6 bedrooms and a basketball court on 3 acres.

Dwyane and then wife Siohvaughn lived in the house with their 2 kids until he filed for divorce in 2007. The divorce was extremely bitter ... he ended up getting custody. She lives in the house alone.

Dwyane's attorney tells TMZ ... the basketball star finally reached a financial settlement with his ex-wife last year, and in addition to getting a huge payout, she got the home and assumed the mortgage payments. The attorney says Siohvaughn just stopped paying.

The lawyer adds Dwyane has no further responsibility, but it seems likely he signed the mortgage papers in the first place so, as they say, tell it to the bank.

The bank sent the foreclosure notice August 11.

Donald Sterling

... I'M OVER!'

8/18/2014 6:02 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

For the first time in months, Donald Sterling seems to have his feet planted firmly in reality -- with the ousted Clippers owner telling TMZ Sports, "I'm finished. I'm over."

Sterling was out in Beverly Hills over the weekend when our photog walked up to him and ask about the latest with the Clippers saga -- and that's when Donald shooed our guy away saying, "I'm finished. I'm over."

It's an interesting comment -- considering on Wednesday, the judge denied Donald's last-ditch effort to block the sale of the Clips to Steve Ballmer

In short -- he's finished. He's over.

NBA Player Stephen Jackson

Ferguson Cop Dreamed of Killing a Black Man

8/16/2014 12:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0815-steven-jackson-roit-getty-01Stephen Jackson has no doubt the deadly shooting of Michael Brown was the heinous action of a cop who harbored racist feelings and waited for the opportunity to kill a Black man.

Jackson, a 14-year NBA vet known for his community activism ... tells TMZ Sports the eyewitness accounts he's heard lead him to believe 18-year-old Brown's death at the hands of Ferguson PD officer Darren Wilson was fueled by race.

"You gotta be walking around holding on to that inside you. It had to be a dream of his to kill a Black man. Especially considering the head shots they say he fired."

Jackson says he's not surprised by the rioting because ... "When you lose someone like that it just reminds you of all the other people that you lost to this type of stuff."

He added ... the one positive he's observed is that it's not only Black people protesting. As Jackson sees it ... injustice is injustice, "It doesn't matter what race people are, they are going to react.”

LeBron James

Flies Wife to Greece ...

Reveals New Baby Name

8/15/2014 7:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

LeBron James just stepped up his push gift game -- flying his wife to Greece before she gives birth to their first baby girl ... and, in the process, he unveiled what the baby's name will be.

LeBron posted a pic of himself and Savannah chilling on a yacht with the caption, "Mykonos Greece is spectacular! Push gift to my wife @mrs_savannahrj!"

And then LBJ dropped the baby bombshell, saying ... "Zhuri hurry up and get here so your daddy and 2 brothers can annoy you! Lol."

So, it sounds like her name will be ... ZHURI -- unless he just wanted to see how it sounds.

We did a little research, and could only find it spelled without the 'h.' The name Zuri is Swahili for beautiful.

Thank God ... not another Britney.

Nicki Minaj

Sued For NBA Party Tardiness

$50K Payday At Stake

8/14/2014 7:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Nicki Minaj
is being sued because time is money -- and NBA All-Star party promoters say she took $50,000 to make a one hour appearance, but came late and left early.

According to the court docs ... Nicki was supposed to appear at Siren Studios in Hollywood during the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend in L.A.. Lil Wayne, Drake, and Trey Songz were also slated to be there.

Nicki's contract said she would attend -- not perform -- from 12 AM to 1 AM. But in the suit, promoters say she didn't get there until after 1:30 and took off before 2 AM.

Now they want their $50K back, and then some to cover the cost of her hotel arrangements and other lost revenue.

76ers Nerlens Noel

You Are the Father

... According to DNA Test

8/14/2014 12:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0813-nerlens-noel-sbs-wm-tmzsports-3The test results are in, and according to a DNA lab ... Nerlens Noel ... YOU ARE THE FATHER OF A BEAUTIFUL 14-MONTH-OLD BABY BOY!!!!

We broke the story ... the 20-year-old Philadelphia 76er initially acknowledged he fathered the kid in a legal doc -- but then backtracked and demanded DNA proof ... which TMZ Sports has learned he got done last month.

According to the docs, Noel admits he's had "limited contact" with his son -- and agrees Jamie, the boy's mother ... should have primary custody.

Noel is now asking the court to determine a "minimal level of child support."

L.A. Clippers

State Farm is Back On Board ...

Now That Sterling's Gone

8/13/2014 12:15 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Steve Ballmer
's purchase of the L.A. Clippers is already paying off -- huge sponsor State Farm is jumping back into bed with the team now that the old Sterling regime is dead ... TMZ Sports has learned.

A rep for the insurance giant tells us it reinstated its deal with the Clippers almost immediately after the NBA made the official announcement yesterday that Ballmer's $2 billion deal had been approved.

We broke the story ... State Farm suspended its relationship with the Clips after we posted Sterling's racist audio recordings.

More than a dozen advertisers jumped ship back in April.

Like a good sponsor, State Farm is there ... again.

Nerlens Noel

Hell Yeah, I Listen to Bieber!

When I'm Home By Myself

8/13/2014 9:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

081314_nerlens_noel_launch_v3Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Nerlens Noel had no problem admitting to our photog he listens to Justin Bieber's music, but telling his teammates ... might be a different story.

Noel was in Midtown Manhattan when he volunteered that Bieber is his favorite celebrity baller, and he even copped to liking a few songs ... at home.

But you gotta see his reaction when we ask if he'd play it in the locker room. NN's trying to play it cool, but it's pretty clear the 76ers ain't bumping "Boyfriend."

Which is probably good. Even better -- the other pop star he reveals is DEFINITELY persona non grata.
The Sixers don't win many games, but at least they don't play crappy music.

Los Angeles Clippers

Sale Official ...

It's Steve Ballmer's Team

8/12/2014 10:03 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0812-ballmer-getty-02Steve Ballmer is now the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Ballmer completed the deal with Shelly Sterling for $2 billion. After several attempts by Donald to block the sale failed ... the deal closed on Tuesday.

Shelly Sterling's attorney, Pierce O'Donnell, tells TMZ, "Shelly is confident he will bring a championship to the city of L.A. in the very near future. We wish him and his family every success."

As TMZ Sports first reported, the NBA has sued Donald Sterling for his numerous attempts to sue the league and wants him to pay all their legal expenses to fight him.

Donald Sterling Sued by NBA

We'll Make YOU Pay for Fighting Clippers Sale

8/12/2014 9:05 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0812-silver-sterling-getty-tmz-01NBA Commissioner Adam Silver just reminded Donald Sterling that his ongoing battle to block the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers is costing the league a ton of money, and ultimately ... it's coming out of his ass.

The league filed a countersuit against Sterling yesterday, and in the docs -- obtained by TMZ Sports -- it points out Sterling's initial agreement to sell the team to Steve Ballmer included a provision that indemnified the league from future claims brought by him, Shelly Sterling, or the Clippers.

In other words, if the sale went awry, and anyone wanted to block it -- the league would not have to foot the bill for legal fees. The countersuit makes it clear ... the league expects Donald to pay up.

Interesting that the league included that provision in the sale. League Commissioner Adam Silver obviously expected a fight from Donald.

According to the docs, the league's already racked up hefty expenses, which continue to mount. They're suing Donald and the Sterling Family Trust to get that money back.
