Nick Carter is showing off his heart of gold in Sin City … dropping by a local comic book shop to make a big difference for kids in need.

The Backstreet Boys star pulled up to Torpedo’s Comic Store in Las Vegas on Monday, Sept. 8, where he presented a generous donation to Child Haven — a Clark County shelter that provides safe and nurturing temporary care for children who can’t remain with their families.

Nick made the surprise appearance during the store’s community event, and the crowd erupted when he revealed he was making the donation. Fans cheered as he spoke about his passion for giving back to the Vegas community, where he’s called home for years.

D4vd was modeling hoodies, sweatpants and Crocs for Hollister ... until news broke that a dead body was found in his Tesla ... and now he's been sidelined as a Hollister model.

The Hollister website prominently featured D4vd Tuesday morning as a model for a brand new collab between Hollister and Crocs ... he was in photos and videos promoting the new clothing line ... but now he's been replaced by another model.

D4vd's removal follows headlines about a chopped up and decomposed body being found in a Tesla registered in his name that was sitting in a Hollywood tow yard.

American actress Clea DuVall was 21 years old when she played Graham -- the tough, cool and gay girl who is sent to conversion camp by her parents -- in the comedy/romance film "But I'm A Cheerleader" -- back in 1999.

The Tesla found in L.A. with human body parts that had been chopped up and left in the trunk is being investigated by LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division, and the L.A. County Coroner is trying to determine both cause of death and whether the victim is male or female.

The LAPD tells TMZ, the Tesla, owned by singer D4vd, was left on a public street for more than 72 hours. The L.A. Department of Transportation impounded the vehicle last Friday, and we're told it had not been reported stolen.

The car was taken to a police garage in Hollywood. The garage staff noticed a noxious smell on Monday, opened the trunk and found the remains in a bag.

A Tesla registered to singer D4vd -- a popular singer with millions of streams -- is under a police microscope after a body was found inside the vehicle at a Hollywood tow yard.

LAPD tells TMZ ... officers responded Monday after receiving a report of a foul odor coming from the Tesla. Cops say human remains were found, and the case is now being treated as a death investigation.

According to ABC 7, the remains were found in a bag inside the car's trunk. The Tesla has been sitting at the tow yard for the past couple days. Authorities have not released the person's identity.

President Trump's Justice Department announced Tuesday the suspect in the fatal Charlotte light rail stabbing, Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr., is charged with one count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system.

Federal prosecutors say the fatal stabbing happened August 22 on the Lynx Blue Line light rail in Charlotte ... and video shows a man in a red hoodie unfolding a knife and stabbing a woman who sat down in front of him.
