John Stamos is sharing a heartbreaking health update about his longtime friend and Beach Boys bandmate Mike Love ... revealing the music legend is battling serious health issues, but refusing to step away from the stage.

The "Full House" star opened up in an emotional Instagram post Sunday, saying he's heading to Nashville to perform with Love at the Ryman Auditorium ... and isn't sure what the future holds for his friend.

Stamos says doctors, family and friends have urged Love to focus on his health, but the 85-year-old isn't having it ... insisting he needs his band, fans and friends around him.

The Indigo Girls are mourning a heartbreaking loss on the road ... their longtime tour bus driver was killed in a crash in South Carolina, forcing the folk-rock duo to cancel upcoming shows.

The driver -- identified by the band as Kirk -- was behind the wheel Friday morning when the bus slammed into a disabled tractor-trailer on Interstate 20 around 6 AM, according to authorities.

Kirk was the only person on the bus at the time ... neither Indigo Girls members Amy Ray and Emily Saliers nor any of their crew were onboard.

Cornell University’s homecoming concert has been canceled amid the school's sexual assault scandal, as students rally in support of the alleged victim, identified as Jane Doe.

The Cornell Concerts Commission announced it's pulling the plug on its planned Homecoming Concert featuring indie-pop duo Between Friends, which had been scheduled for October 17 at Barton Hall.

The student-run group says the decision comes as it calls on Cornell's administration to do more to support survivors of sexual violence ... saying in a statement to social media, "The Cornell Concert Commission is a student-run organization and, as students, we stand with Jane Doe and all survivors of sexual violence."

The comedian was last night's host on 'SNL' and, while playing the son of Cat in the Hat, played by Mikey Day, Gillis got into a back and forth with Sam I Am, played by Andrew Dismukes. Dismukes was trying to make Gillis' dad eat green eggs and ham for breakfast, sparking the funny, and accidentally foul-mouthed confrontation. 

Gillis defended his father, saying ... “Hey, what the hell is wrong with you? My dad said he doesn’t like them." But Dismukes kept pressing Gillis, prompting Gillis to say, “Bro, it’s a non-starter. He said he doesn’t f***ing ... Jeez -- like 'em."
