7:23 PM PT -- George tells TMZ ... the decision to file for divorce was mutual between him and Brittney. They are in couple's counseling and trying to work on their marriage. California law allows them 6 months to work on it and they can pull the divorce if they choose to reconcile.

George Gray, the longtime announcer for "The Price Is Right," is calling it quits with his wife Brittney Green -- he’s made his way down to court to file for divorce.

TMZ’s got the docs -- George listed their separation date as August 1, 2024, ending things after 5 years of marriage.

George’s going with the classic "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

A female cop is getting canned after accidentally shooting a man with his own gun during a traffic stop in Florida -- and it's all caught on graphic body cam.

Jason Arrington is fully cooperating in video just released from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, calmly telling an officer he has a gun on him, after he was pulled over for running a red light. He steps out of his SUV and 2 officers frisk him ... that's when Officer Mindy Cardwell removes the weapon from Arrington's waistband, and it suddenly fires.

Chaos unfolds immediately -- another officer tells Caldwell to drop the pistol as he helps the wounded Arrington to a nearby patch of grass, blood seeping through the man's pants.

Luke -- who pled guilty to assaulting law enforcement during the incident -- says he is "very grateful" to get home to his family, with the hope of returning to his everyday life.

NBA's Ty Jerome Los Angeles Home Burglarized

A Los Angeles home belonging to NBA player Ty Jerome was burglarized last week, and cops tell TMZ Sports they're still on the hunt for the supects.

We're told the break-in happened at around 7:30 PM on Jan. 17 ... when thieves gained entry to the residence through a broken glass window.

Cops say the criminals took off a short time after getting in -- and as of now, it's unclear what -- if anything -- was taken. Jerome has been away from the area in recent days while on the road playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
